Consistency remains the ultimate key for staying on the path of fitness but for some, including me, it’s easy to stray away from a routine or diet. Momentum is key to consistency and when you achieve it, do everything you can to maintain that momentum. Travel can throw a major wrench into a consistent program. While traveling you may not be able to maintain an ideal schedule but if you just get in something then the money may slow but will not stall. Tyler Merren - Founder of ReVision Training and Paralympian - Episode #675 Oct 12, 2022

Tyler Merren is an inspiration athlete, motivation speaker and trainer. As a teenager, Tyler was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease which causes gradual deterioration in sight. In 1999, Tyler found a passion in goalboal and went onto to compete in the 2004, 2008 and 2016 Paralympics.

Tyler is also the founder of ReVision Training, a fitness institution for the visually impaired. His company also created the Revision Fitness app, an audio based fitness program.

A recent study from YouGov showed that 18% of men do not have a close friend and 32% say they do not have someone they could call a best friend. Additionally a research paper from Movember says 20% of dads loose close friends in their first year of fatherhood.

I feel very fortunate to have a wonderful family and group of friends but for many people that isn’t the case. It’s extremely important to have close friends you can talk with about hobbies, health and life. If you are lucky enough to have a close group of friends, send a text today and let them know you appreciate them. It’s not weird, it’s just what friends do.

Guy Jeans - Kern River Fly Shop Owner and Musician - Episode #672 Oct 05, 2022

Guy Jeans is the owner of Kern River Fly Shop in Kernville, California and has been become one of the most notable anglers in the state. Along with owning his fly shop, Guy is a fishing guide and teacher. He also won the Lee Wulff Award from the International Federation of Fly Fishers.

Outside of fishing, Guy is a vocalist and keyboardist for the ska/reggae band called “Stoneflys” . Stoneflys has opened for some notable bands like No Doubt and Sublime!
