    Book Clips

Welcome to Book Clips, the mini podcast where authors and narrators give you a taste of a book with a short snippet. In this episode we hear a reading from One Way Or Another by A.L. Brooks

    Synopsis

Corporate lawyer Sarah Connolly keeps her love life simple—no strings, no complications, and definitely no falling in love. It works for her, even if it’s getting a little, well, boring.

Demure teacher Bethany Keane has been out of the dating pool for ages but is ready to dip her toe back in. She would love to be swept off her feet by some beautiful, romantic soul.

A chance encounter outside a sex shop in London draws the unlikely pair together and the attraction is immediate and powerful. But how can two people so different even connect, let alone fall in love? Can Ms. Wrong ever be right?

A fun, sexy, lesbian romance about finding yourself and discovering not what we want, but what we need.

    Ask An Asexual

    Episode 1 of 6

Sheena is joined by author and podcaster, Heather Rose Jones and author Alex Woods to talk about what it really means to be an asexual.

In this episode we learn what Asexuality is and is not as well as discussing some common myths, stereotypes and answering listener questions.

    Heather and Alex answer:

    • How you come to label yourself asexual
    • The claim that Asexuals don’t exist
    • What’s the difference between being asexual and aromantic
    • Does asexual mean not having any sexual feelings, or does it mean not having sexual feelings towards another person?
    • How can an asexual know he or she is homosexual or straight if he or she is not driven by sex attraction?
    • Is there another kind of attraction? What is this attraction?
    • Are you born asexual?
    • Plus Heather gets geeky about spectrums and we love it.

    Book Clips

Welcome to Book Clips, the mini podcast where authors and narrators give you a taste of a book with a short snippet. In this episode we hear a reading from the author.

    Synopsis

Some people believe love transcends time and space.
Neuropsychologist Dr. Contessa "Tess" Kenner isn't one of them. She can explain in detail how lust and desire cause the limbic system to battle the prefrontal cortex over ethical decision making, but ask her about her aversion to relationships and she's completely at a loss. It's not due to lack of trying. She's just never felt the need or the connection to put in the effort.
Free spirited artist Elena Jake, on the other hand, wants to fall in love with the woman of her dreams—quite literally. Ever since her youth, her nights have been consumed by a beautiful stranger, so much so, that no flesh and blood woman has ever been able to measure up. When the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur, she seeks guidance from her Native American roots.
Driven by strong astrological influences, the "powers that be" attempt an intervention between the two women. Their pasts and presents merge, sending Tess and Elena on an unimaginable journey, causing them both to question their sanities.
Will these two souls rediscover an epic love? Or are they destined to forever be star-crossed lovers?
This romance is a must read for every true romantic who believes love knows no bounds.

    In A Heartbeat

Coffee Break With KA & Dana: Meaningful Conversations From A Lesbian Perspective

In recent years, LGBT people have witnessed far-reaching changes to their rights. Nevertheless, they continue to face unique challenges as they age. And their caregivers face unique challenges, sometimes not being legally recognized, and sometimes contested by biological families.

In this episode, KA and Dana will discuss the difficult topic of caregiving—because everything could change in a heartbeat.

    Topics covered include

    • acute/chronic illness,
    • advance directives,
    • and self-care.

    About the hosts

KA is an author of lesbian fiction with degrees in counseling, psychology, and social work. She writes stories about lesbians, burdened by past trauma, who find healing in the love of a soul mate.

Dana is an avid reader, a recovering alcoholic, a fisher-woman, and a graduate of the school of hard knocks.
