The Two-Fold Nature Of Fear: Friend or Foe? May 13, 2020
    Show notes

Why do we hold ourselves back when we are about to do something we are really passionate about? Jason Wrobel and Whitney Lauritsen attribute this resistance to feeling afraid that we might not get our desired results. In this episode, Jason and Whitney get uncomfortable digging deep into their selves and unraveling their greatest fears in life. Listen in and discover the distinction between bravery and fearlessness and why the latter should not be our goal. Fear will always accompany us in our creative journeys, and it does have a certain function, but we should never let it take the wheel as we venture into the unknown.

The Psychology of Eating: How Food Affects our Self Image May 11, 2020
    Show notes

We live in a society that pressures us so much about our food choices that we find ourselves stressing over our diets and our health. Instead of becoming healthy, we fall deep into this unhealthy state, where we constantly feel guilty about what we eat and beat ourselves up in fear of gaining weight. If you are in this dilemma, then you’ll be glad of the National Holiday Jason Wrobel and Whitney Lauritsen are talking about in this episode: National Eat What You Want Day. Giving yourself a breather away from keeping what you eat in check, this National Holiday is an opportunity for you to have the freedom to choose what you want to eat without feeling in the wrong. While this seems like a great thing for many, it also helps to be critical about what it says about our society, especially if we have to designate a holiday for our food choices. Jason and Whitney give their two cents about the subject, shedding light on both sides of the coin—from the holiday’s positive reception to its negative implications, particularly from the point of view of vegans. Tune into this very interesting conversation that takes a deep dive into the psychology of eating and how we associate our value and worth to what we eat.

Living Out Your Truth: On Independent Media, Freedom Of Speech, And More With Luke Storey May 08, 2020
    Show notes

The beauty around being human is how connected we all are with our experiences. No matter how different, we all feel the same range of emotions that, too often, we think we are the only ones experiencing. That is why there is a sense of comfort from hearing someone who seems like they have it all figured out go through the same struggles we do. In this episode, Jason Wrobel and Whitney Lauritsen talk with Luke Storey—a motivational speaker, kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, world-class biohacker, host of The Life Stylist Podcast, and founder of the world’s first and only online fashion school for stylists, School of Style. With all the titles under his name, no one would even suspect that he also has his moments of ‘not-enoughness.’ He shares the journey and struggles he has been through and touches on the importance of telling stories authentically and freely, especially those that inspire and help others in their own life experiences. Speaking of authenticity, Luke then takes us deeper into independent media and the freedom of speech. He tackles the nature of subjective truth versus absolute truth and how our experience of the world and the freedom attached to it is being threatened by the powers that be. Covering as well a range of topics, Jason, Whitney, and Luke then talk about couples’ intimacy in this time of the pandemic, mental and emotional health, self-awareness and honesty, wellness and human optimization through biohacking, and more.
