The RM, M&M and more w/ Britani Underwood Mar 31, 2021

Show notes

Love the show? Hate the show? Think it’s just okay? Send us a text!

We had a great time chatting with Britani Underwood who is an actor, singer, model, writer... you name it! We know her most from her starring role in The RM and Mobster's & Mormons but there is so much more beyond that.
While you get a great interview in this episode, you will also find out the middle names of both Brandon and Nate (something that everyone has been asking for). So, join us on this break from the "place" format episode!

We officially made it to a whole year! Thanks for joining us on this and the other 52 episodes we've had so far. For this week's episode, we revisit how we got the podcast idea, we talk about trampolines, and also the new butterscotch milkshake.
At this year mark, we ask for your suggestions! What can we do better? What could we do worse? What episodes would you like to hear? What episodes should we absolutely avoid? Leave us your ideas in the comments, DMs or send us an email at thisisaplacepodcast@gmail.com. Thanks again for your continued support.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Nothing can exemplify this Americanized holiday more than visiting a pub that is themed after leprechauns. If you're going to go anywhere to celebrate (besides McDonald's for a shamrock shake) then you have to check this place out.

....on Road Redwood. Who could forget the catchy jingles, quirky commercials, and the gigantic store? The Riddle family definitely had something special in Furniture Warehouse.

Hires Big H w/ Mark Hale Feb 17, 2021

Show notes

Love the show? Hate the show? Think it’s just okay? Send us a text!

Maybe you look at Hires and think that's a great place to get a burger and some fries but it's so much more than that. A big thanks to Mark Hale for giving us a deep dive into the life of his father Don Hale and what really makes this place so special. If it's been a minute, stop by Hires and get yourself a good old-fashioned meal complete with a malt (trust us on the malt).

Happy Valentine's week from This is a Place Podcast!
Can you call yourself a Utahn if you haven't stayed at least one night in the Anniversary Inn? Of course, you can but you would be missing out on the best-themed hotel that our state has to offer. Take a stay with us as we explore many of the great rooms throughout their four locations. You might be too late to book a stay there for this weekend but it doesn't mean you can't offer the gift of a future visit as a gift.

Yes, we know we already did a Raging Waters episode but it was super popular so we're trying to replicate our success, okay?
In all reality, there have been some developments with plans for the site. We have to do our part to disseminate this information. Listen as we break down the 5 scenarios, give our ideas and get off track talking about Groundhog Day.
