This one you'll want to STIR in ice. Never shake brown liquors, guys. Then strain into a martini glass and garnish with a cherry. Pencil stirrer optional.
Cait, Murda & repeat guest Doug Sharf went to see Get Out!! And we did not get out until the end of the movie theater, because it was great and we watched all of it. This week's drinking game involved taking a chug for every time it was necessary to "Check Our Privilege", so needless to say we got very drunk.

2 ounces of sage infused gin
1 ounce of creme de violette
¾ ounce of lemon juice
½ ounce of honey lavender syrup
For honey lavender syrup - combine ½ cup of honey, ½ cup of white cane sugar, 1 cup of water, and 2 tablespoons of lavender in a saucepan. Boil until sugar and honey is dissolved, stirring frequently.
For cocktail - combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake until well combined and cold, about 15 seconds. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass, garnish as desired and enjoy

Cait & Murda tie up Leanna CosMcMillin, comedienne and scientist, after watching Fifty Shades Darker and spin the bottle over and over to decide how to drink away this crap movie! There's lots of sex talk and a party going on in the apartment. Also, Daniel Day Lewis makes a surprise appearance at the end.
For strawberry & lime juice - we fresh pressed one pound of strawberries to one lime
For jalapeno syrup - boil 1 ½ cup of sugar to 1 ½ cup of water until sugar is dissolved. When mixture has cooled, put in an airtight container with two jalapenos cut in half, seeded and destemmed. Leave jalapenos in overnight and remove when ready to use.
For cocktail - combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, dry shake until well combined. Add ice and shake again for another 15 seconds. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass, garnish as desired and enjoy!

Cocktail Recipe
1 ½ tablespoons of homemade Cranberry Rosemary Jam
2 ounces of Gin
Dry Champagne floater
Rosemary Sprig for Garnish
In a tall cocktail glass, combine jam and gin with ice and stir until well combined. Strain into a champagne flute, fill with champagne to the top and garnish with rosemary. Enjoy!Cranberry Rosemary Jam Recipe
12 ounce bag of fresh or unthawed frozen cranberries
1 cup of sugar
½ cup of fresh squeezed orange juice
4 whole sprigs of rosemary
1 cup of water
Place all ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Once jam has thicken, pour through a fine mesh strainer to discard seeds and skins and refrigerate for at least an hour before eating. Mixture should continue to thicken as it cools.

1/2 to one full teaspoon of agave, depending on desired sweetness In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, curaçao, blueberry juice, egg white, and agave. Dry shake ingredients for a few seconds, and then shake again with ice. Strain over desired serving glass with fresh ice and enjoy!

The Miso Strange
2 oz Rye Whiskey
Radish slices (for garnish)
Cilantro muddled
1 tsp miso paste
½ oz honey
1 oz lime juice
Top with soda water
Muddle cilantro and honey. Add whiskey, lime, honey, and miso. Shake with ice. Strain over crushed ice, then top with soda water. Garnish with radish slices.

Makes two drinks
1/2 cup fresh-squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons of Kimchi
2 sprigs of cilantro
4 ounces silver tequila
½ teaspoon of siracha
2 ounces simple syrup
2 tablespoons of peanut butter - for garnish
2 tablespoons of freshly chopped peanuts - for garnish
Directions:
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle the kimchi and cilantro with the lime juice. Add the tequila and simple syrup, stir until well combined. Spread the peanut butter and chopped peanuts onto two separate plates, and then dip the top of each glass into the peanut butter and followed by the chopped peanuts, shaking off the excess peanut crumbs. Strain and pour the margarita mix into the two glasses filled with fresh ice. Enjoy this little piece of Josh and West Covina in your own home!

5-7 Cloves of Garlic for every 10oz of Vodka. Infuse overnight.
2 oz Pickle Juice
½ oz water

4 ounces of Barrel Aged Gin
6 ounces of Semi-dry red wine - we used a Grenache
⅔ cup of mixed frozen berries
1 ounce of simply syrup
Soda water
In a airtight container, soak frozen berries in gin overnight. Pour gin & berry mixture in a large glass, muddle the berries, add wine, and then stir. Divide contents into two wine glasses with ice, and top with soda water.

Scatcherd House Punch
A twist on the philly fish house punch from via Food and Wine.
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
6 1/2 ounces dark rum
4 ounces brandy
2 ounces strawberry schnapps
4 ounces cold brewed black tea
4 ounces fresh lemon juice
4 ounces cold water
Strawberries, for garnish
Set a funnel in a large, clean bottle that has a screw cap. Add the confectioners' sugar and tap it into the bottle. Add the rum, brandy, peach schnapps, black tea and lemon juice. Close the bottle and shake vigorously. Add the water and shake again. Seal and refrigerate the punch until cold. Serve the punch in the bottle, letting guests pour it into tumblers; garnish the drinks with orange peels.

This week Cait & Murda dip into their Netflix queues and find two movies that they haven't seen and fit their different tastes. Hush is a indie horror movie, out of SXSW. Street Dance 2 is a dance movie sequel, out of Europe.

Star Wars : The Force Awakens / Captain America : Civil War

Space, superheroes and sex pyramids! This week Cait & Murda watch Captain America : Civil War and Star Wars : The Force Awakens. Along with guest Heather, things get very giggly.
Cocktail Feature:
Ultimate Chocolate Milkshake
2 tablespoons cocoa (dissolved in ¼ cup of hot water)
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
½ cup fresh milk
½ cup ice
2 cups chocolate or vanilla ice cream
Place dissolved cocoa, milk and sugar in blender. Blend for 20 seconds. Add ice cream and ice and blend till smooth. Pour in 2 tall glasses. Top with whipped cream and some cocoa or chocolate shavings.
The Star Wars segment starts at 20:35. The Captain America segment starts at 37:73.

Grab a martini glass and get a manicure, because this week Murda & Cait focus on some fancy ladies, and some ladies that are trying super hard to be fancy. Special guest Liz Clarkin-Breslin!
Episode 6 catches up on season 8 of Real Housewives Of New York (aka RHONY, aka plastic surgery disaster time) and then blow through all of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2.

RECIPE
2oz Vodka
1/2oz Cointreau
1/2oz lime juice
1oz cranberry
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.

This episode Cait & Murda take a trip to Texas. For the week, they watched the first episodes of Faking It - Season 3, then they went to the theaters for Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some.
This week's Cocktail Feature:
The Jel-low Life
Whiskey Jello Shot & a can of PBR
1 ounce package of unflavored gelatin
Juice of two lemons
4 tablespoons of simple syrup
2 ½ cups of water
1 ½ cups of bourbon or rye whiskey
PBR
Begin by pouring gelatin and a small splash of water in a pint size measuring cup to soften the gelatin, while bringing some water to boil.
In a separate bowl, combine whiskey and lemon juice. Once the water is boiling, pour it in the measuring cup and stir to combine with gelatin.
Combine the measuring cup’s contents with the separate bowl and then measure out another half cup of boiling water. Once contents are combined well in the bowl, pour into vessel of your choice and cool overnight.
Follow with a PBR chaser, and watch out because everybody will want some!!

Murda and Cait cover everything home improvement this week. After watching hours of HGTV Show (Love It Or List It, Fixer Upper, Property Brothers, Genevieve's Renovation), the ladies discuss the most ridiculous home owners and their terrible houses, while yelling "DEMO DAY!" and drinking Bloody Marys.
Then the girls attack The Money Pit, an 80's movie starring Tom Hanks with enough slapstick gags to choke any realtor.
At 17:30 we start the HGTV Shows segment. At 38:30 we start The Money Pit segment.
Garnishes of Your Choice : We used Pickled Green Beans, Garlic Stuffed Green Olives, and Caper Berries
Bloody Mary Mix:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Quarter the tomatoes and deseed them, setting aside the removed tomato flesh and seeds in a bowl - we’ll make some extra juice out of these guys. Quarter the red bell peppers, discarding all seeds and veins. Place as many tomatoes and red peppers on a foiled cookie sheet or roasting pan, and sprinkle with olive oil and a teaspoon of salt. You might find that you need more than one pan to fit all of the tomatoes and red peppers in the oven which is fine - these things don’t need to perfect. Roast them in the oven for 45 minutes, or until the edges look wilted and the juices are flowing. Take the tomatoes and peppers out and set aside to cool.
While the tomatoes and red peppers are cooling, puree the tomato flesh and seeds you set aside in food processor and then strain the puree with a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth back into the bowl. Place the freshly made tomato juice, roasted tomatoes and red peppers, celery stalks, parsley, garlic, lemon, fresh black pepper, and remaining salt in food processor and puree. You might find you need to do these in batches like we did. Once all ingredients are well combined, strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher or large jar and cool in the fridge for at least one hour.
Makes 2 quarts.
Bloody Mary:
Combine vodka and Bloody Mary mix in a tall glass with ice. Stir in horseradish, tabasco, Worcestershire, and fresh ground pepper. Garnish and enjoy!
This week Cait and Murda talk through Black Mirror and Pee Wee’s Big Adventure from Netflix. They get cerebral and they get stupid, as usual.
