Part two of our conversation with Brian Zahnd is a provocative critique of nationalism. We talk about whether or not America should be considered analogous to ancient Israel…or ancient Babylon? Zahnd challenges us to think of America as four things: a nation, a culture, an empire, & a religion.

Who’s In? with Brad Jersak Aug 30, 2019

Show notes

In this sweeping conversation with one of our favorite theologians, Brad Jersak, we talk about it all—from constructive alternatives to all the “deconstruction” talk, to a critique of Richard Rohr’s Universal Christ, to the big question of who’s in and who’s out? Are there limits to the love of God? Is it possible to speak of the universality of God’s love, without minimizing the particularity of Jesus?
