Whormones Podcast Ep70- Dramatic Passive Aggressivism Jan 06, 2017
    Show notes

This week Alia & Jaqi catch up with each other and you. We share Christmas stories, and Jaqi vents about holiday family guiltings when Alia jokingly does the same. We're excited to be here though because we watched a great documentary "Hypernormalization" by Adam Curtis. A nearly 3-hour piece which was originally aired & produced by the BBC, Curtis argues that since the 1970s, governments, financiers, and technological utopians have given up on the complex "real world" and built a simple "fake world" that is run by corporations and kept stable by politicians." (Reference: Wikipedia.) It draws attention to powers that be, complacency, disinformation, new movements and why those movements fail. It draws parallels between the current US political system the failing Russian system of the 70s, and Putin's current rule. We discuss what we each took away from it, and how we move forward (and if we can). After that, we move on to what really matters - what is happening in Blacklist, and the latest Lena Dunham online saga. Then, happy new year everyone! Jaqi's new year involved champagne & the linguistic implications of God as argued by an astrophysicist. We complain about living presents. Never buy a dog to save a relationship! Alia announces our new Patreon page and tells us how to ask a girl to cum on her face. Closing it out, Hannah Pryor teaches Alia how to treat people in a reading from the Art of Being a Lady."

    About the Whormones Podcast

The Whormones podcast is an anti-feminist, feminist podcast where two completely different points of view of sexuality, feminism, and life are discussed. The politically incorrect humor and witty banter featuring Alia Janine's wilder and more sexually experienced interpretations, and Jaqi Furback's biting and more conservative demeanor makes these two the modern day odd couple.

Whormones Podcast Ep69- Baby Death Rattle With Jason Rouse Dec 09, 2016
    Show notes

It's episode 69! We did it! We can giggle like teenagers again! And man, get ready to LAUGH -- our guest this week is comedian Jason Rouse. Born in Ontario, Jason has been touring all over the world for around 20 years. His comedy is high intensity shock for which he has been recognized across the globe. He has appeared everywhere from your local yukshack to tours in renowned festivals in the UK. He's appeared in multiple publications both in the US and abroad, and has been compared in NOW Magazine to an "evil Jim Carrey." Most recently you can find him on "Andrew Dice Clay's the blue show," and you can also buy Jason's album "Rotten," which is available on his website.

Requesting a Foley artist for his episode was just the first move of his on this uptempo episode. We talked Trump, dual citizenship and wedding proposals. Jaqi made the mistake of sharing her view on the impracticality of hair, and both of the girls admit to accidental sex with homeless people. We discuss some great horror films that have allowed social media to enter the genre. The three of us debate the true hackneyed stripper shoe. Jason admits a lack of passion for sports as we talk the native origins of Canada's national pasttime. We finish up the conversation with discussions of Christmas Tradition, and Alia plays with the idea of a career change, as we discuss Lewis Black's balls. All this wrapped up by Alia learning how to be a lady at a wedding, with a reading from "The Art of Being a Lady," by Hannah Pryor. (And to answer the question raised, the copyright is 2013.) find Jason Rouse jasonrouse.com twitter.com/jasonrouse666

Whormones Podcast Ep68- Rainy Days with Daniel Carroll Dec 03, 2016
    Show notes

This week, our guest is an old friend of Jaqi's from the Seattle comedy world, who is swinging through town. Dan Carroll is one of the founding members of the Peoples Republic of Komedy, a group of comics that helped rejuvenate the Seattle comedy scene in the mid-2000s, and put the city's version of an alt-comedy scene on the map. He performs at both the Moore and Paramount Theaters in Seattle, as well as numerous national competitions and festivals including Bumbershoot, the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions, The Original Las Vegas Comedy Festival, and Portland's Bridgetown Comedy Fest.

Unfortunately, Jaqi has an uber-migraine this week, so we are podcasting from the dark. Appropriately so, considering the subject matter. We talk about the new abortion laws in Texas (yet another state for fetal funerals and cremations). We chat about Trump, and Alia shares her new daily activism routines (what numbers to call) that we can all learn from, and Dan mentions his plans to revolt. We reminisce about the Indiana Jones series and how awful(ly good) it is. Dan shares with us the "good news" about his tumor. We close on some rape talk. Jaqi takes a moment to be positive through her pain. All this and a reading by Alia from "The Art of Being a Lady," by Hannah Pryor. Oddly enough - she actually agrees with some of it. Could Alia be part lady???? ;-)

Whormones Podcast ep67- Coaching Coach Von Nov 25, 2016
    Show notes

This week in studio is Von Decarlo.

Von is the author of the book "Speak Fluent Man," which details the lessons she learned through her 10 year relationship with renowned comedian Patrice O'Neal. Cast on the first season of Temptation Island, she was voted off for being "too intimidating." She also appeared on daytime soap operas on ABC, as a talking head comedy series on BET and Centric, Essence Live, and is a regular guest trash talker on NBA radio, Sirius XM/ESPN. She is known to her twitter followers as Coach Von, and is obsessed with the NBA. Von classifies herself as an anti-feminist feminist, so of course we had to get this badass bitch on the show. :) And boy did we cover a lot of ground. We talked about the Kardashians and the attitude of "blaming the victim," which of course leads us to a conversation about Trump. We take a moment to honor People Magazine's sexiest man Dwayne the Rock Johnson, and hope for a new future president. Speaking of sexy men, Von has a theory about the maturity of NBA players and discipline. We learn about Von's book and her sexual interests, before Von becomes enamored with Alia's life experience and we compare the business of comedy to porn. Rounding it out is a furious reading of Alia about the do's and dont's of being a lady, courtesy of Hannah Pryor's "The Art of Being A Lady." Whormones Podcast Ep66- Sexy Abortions with Monroe Martin III Nov 18, 2016
    Show notes

On this week's episode: Monroe Martin! Monroe is a regular at the Stand Comedy Club, The Comedy Cellar, New York Comedy Club, and pretty much everywhere else there is a stage in NYC. He also tours nationally. He has been on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Last Comic Standing, Adam DeVine's House Party & AXS TVs Live at Gotham. He also was one half of the hysterical (yet brief) web series "the Clo & Roe Show," with Chloe Hilliard, which featured a few other very funny NYC comedians (check them out on his website). This podcast was recorded the day after the election and Monroe is excited. He can't wait to make things funny for you. This episode is all laughs... We have to (of course) acknowledge the results of Election 2016. Donald Trump. Well. That's a thing that happened. Moving on from there, we lighten it up by brainstorming potential uses for Monroe's sexy voice. And remember landline phones? We sure do. Monroe is noticeably giddy and we want to know why. We chat about the importance of stand-up comedy during hard times - people need laughter more than ever, and it's our responsibility to supply. Reproductive rights are brought up, and we take that opportunity to make abortion funny... several times... Monroe shares about respecting his current relationship by keeping his lady out of the public eye, we talk about the strange fantasy of incest, and we all answer the question: have you had sex with twins? How close is too close for twins and their relationships? And then we tackle the ever looming concept of death, and Monroe has no fear-- unless you count the "knowing it's coming" part. All that and Alia reads an excerpt from "the Art of a Lady" by Hannah Pryor.

Whormones Podcast Ep63- Moe No Monster (Except in His Pants) Oct 28, 2016
    Show notes

Today we welcome rising porn star, Mo the Monster, on his way back to LA from a shoot in Prague. We chat with him about blurred porn, interracial shoots and the inherent racism that comes with it. We talk about his dating preferences and the fun he has telling people he is in porn. Alia takes a moment to exorcise her frustration with Donald Trump's latest implication that being a porn star is perpetual consent. We take a moment to honor Black Mirror for its relevance (spoiler alert...by whom?) Jaqi reads Just the Tips by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarksy, and almost gets out of the room without turning bright red as Mo mentions a game he sometimes plays on set.

Whormones Podcast Ep62- Uncomfortable Talks With Troy Alan Oct 19, 2016
    Show notes

This week we talk with special guest Troy Alan. Troy shares us a story of his time as an actor for CIA/FBI simulations. We also chat with him about his recent vacation to Ireland with his dad before the subject changes directions to things not so easy. Troy was raised by a pedophile. He talks to us about what it was like, his observations and experiences. He recommends the documentary "Are All Men Pedophiles?" We cleanse the conversation palate with a conversation about cats and dogs people. And the bow on this conversation is of course a reading from Just the Tips by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky.
