In this re-launch episode of the White House Farm Murders, we return to one of Britain’s most haunting true crime cases — the White House Farm murders. Rather than revisiting the details of the crime itself, this episode sets the scene, exploring the turbulent backdrop of 1980s Britain. From police procedures before PACE and the infancy of forensic science, to cultural divides around class, religion, sexuality, and generational change, we look at how the decade’s shifting values may have shaped both the Bamber family and the investigation that followed.
This is the starting point for understanding not only what happened at White House Farm, but why this case continues to echo through history.
The podcast officially re-launches on 25th August.
