This week we cover nine transits, highlighted by the New Moon in Sagittarius and the Sun's entrance into Capricorn on the Winter Solstice.

I share personal reflections on my first week as a father and explore the theme of breaking cycles of familial trauma through two very different stories. First, Sylvester Stallone—whose father's jealousy wounded him deeply, and who has spoken openly about the regret he carries for in the past prioritizing career over his own familial relationships. Then, the heartbreaking story of former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore, whose firing aligned with the Mercury-Lilith conjunction in Scorpio. A father of three daughters, Moore now faces the painful consequences of choices that have upended his life. With the North Node in Pisces, we have the opportunity to sit in empathy with these stories and learn vicariously—rather than suffer through these lessons in our own lives.

The centerpiece of this episode is a deep dive into Mars entering Capricorn (December 14th – January 23rd). We examine the historical pattern of this transit through events like the Gulf War, the Arab Spring, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and the COVID-19 lockdowns—revealing how Mars exalted consistently brings decisive institutional action and contested power. Another massive week with 11 transits, highlighted by Mercury transiting into Sagittarius, Mars moving into Capricorn, and Neptune going direct in Pisces—the final stretch of Neptune in Pisces before it enters Aries in January.

At long last, my Twins, have finally arrived—a boy and a girl—and with Gemini Rising along the horizon, no less, the Sign of the Twins. The experience taught me what I've been saying all year about the North Node in Pisces: release control, have faith, trust the bigger picture.

Mercury in Sagittarius sextile Pluto in Aquarius asks: are you being true to yourself in your community, or are you pretending to fit in? The respect you receive for a false self isn't real respect. Saturn sextile Neptune and North Node in Pisces on Friday invites compassion—not shame or regret, but recognition of how you're using your time now.

Mars enters Capricorn on Sunday (through end of January), marking exalted Mars energy perfect for New Year's resolutions. Everything you spend your time on reflects who you are. What legacy are you building? The Sun trine Chiron retrograde in Aries highlights fears and insecurities—call them out, face them, and transmute them into accomplishments.

This is a week for truth-telling, building something worthy, and running through your fears rather than hiding from them.

The transits keep coming: 10 this week, marking the third Grand Water Trine in three weeks. Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces hold the anchor while Venus in Scorpio completes the pattern before moving into Sagittarius. Two weeks ago it was the Sun, last week Mercury retrograde—now Venus brings her own flavor to this water configuration.

The week also marks two major stations: Saturn goes direct in Pisces on Thursday and Mercury retrograde ends on Saturday—both planets resuming forward motion after weeks of introspection.

Venus in the Grand Water Trine pulls us into the deep end of intimacy and vulnerability. This is the transit for conversations you've been avoiding—the ones that feel uncomfortable but necessary, where something's been festering in the corner creating tension. Mercury retrograde conjunct Venus at the beginning of the week asks: where does this come from? Why do I feel drained? Why can't I say what needs to be said? Scorpio, ruled by Mars, gives you the courage to speak.

By week's end, Venus enters Sagittarius (November 30 - December 24), shifting from Scorpio's intensity to Sagittarius's expansive honesty. The challenge squares to Pisces and Virgo placements suggest this isn't about escaping relationships—it's about clearing the toxicity within them so you can feel free in your relationship, not just free from it.

After a quieter stretch, the transits come roaring back—14 this week alone. Don't worry, we've got you covered.

We're opening with the Grand Water Trine that closed last week and continues into this one: Sun in Scorpio, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Pisces. Mercury will trace this same configuration later in the week as it retrogrades back through Scorpio. Meanwhile, Mercury begins the week in Sagittarius sextile Pluto in Aquarius, then retrogrades into Scorpio to meet the Grand Water Trine—while the Sun does the opposite, moving from Scorpio into Sagittarius to pick up that Pluto sextile where Mercury left off. It's a clean handoff, the same energies passing between them.

Adding to the intensity: the New Moon in Scorpio arrives conjunct Mercury retrograde—a cazimi moment that amplifies the potency of this cycle. And here's where it gets even more significant: Uranus retrograde in Taurus forms an exact sextile with Neptune retrograde in Pisces, and both align with this New Moon-Mercury conjunction in Scorpio. It's all converging.

There's a lot of repetition and reinforcement here, all of it pointing in the same direction: honest communication, deep vulnerability, and the courage to either heal or sever the karmic connections that are no longer serving you.

This is a week for saying what's been unsaid, for letting go of what you've been clutching, and for trusting that the truth—however uncomfortable—is the foundation for what comes next.
