Steve Schmidt talks about the new reporting that Trump would praise the actions of Hitler. This is not the first time the former President has expressed affinity for tyrants and dictators. But what could that mean if he was elected to a second term in office? Steve says that we've already seen what happened when he lost an election and argues that the second term will be worse. "Tyrants rise when democracies weaken. in the 1930s, Fascism rose, not because it was strong, but because democracy was weak. And now, something is rising all over the world. Hypocritical Trump Endorsement Shows "Deep Moral Rot" in Republican Party Mar 11, 2024

This week, South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace appeared in a fiery interview on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos.” During the interview, Stephanopoulos asked Mace how she could square being a rape survivor with endorsing the former president who was found liable by a jury for sexual assault. This endorsement also comes after Rep. Mace said he should never hold office again for his role in the Capitol attack on January 6th. Steve Schmidt calls this hypocritical reversal a “moral rot” and representative of a larger movement in the Republican party.
