    The Walking Dead ‘Cast

Fans of The Walking Dead know it’s so much more than a zombie show. It’s an emotionally rich, character-driven series about love and loss, and found family, and the lengths we’d go through to protect the people we care about. That’s what’s kept us coming back all these years. (And also we like zombies.)
I’m Jason Cabassi. My cohost Karen and I started podcasting about The Walking Dead back in 2010. Along the way, I’ve appeared on the show a couple of times as a walker, hosted hundreds of Q&A panels with TWD actors at conventions across the U.S., and eventually teamed up with my current co-host, the witty and insightful Lucy Hinnie. Together—with some incredible guests—we’ve covered The Last of Us and every Walking Dead spinoff, from Fear to Dead City.
Right now, we’re enjoying a rewatch of the original series—with the full story in mind—and diving into the moments that still hit hard. Past guests on the podcast include Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Robert Kirkman, Angela Kang, Greg Nicotero, and many more.
And the most fun and fulfilling part of all this has absolutely been interacting with you guys and making it a conversation. So write in, send a voice message, and be part of it!

To be honest, I'm a little burnt out on zombies, so we wouldn't just be covering any old zed movie during the hiatus - but Cargo, the Australian zombie movie starring Martin Freeman and a baby, based on the 7-minute short film of the same name that Karen and I covered and liked several years ago, is good! I recommend checking it out. It's available on Netflix. I think most Walking Dead fans will dig it. Then join me, Rima, and Shawn for our coverage. Plus, Rima and Shawn announce the next show they'll be covering on Strange Indeed. I'm starting up a new initiative. I think it's going to be called the Podcastica Culture Club, and it'll have a bunch of cool perks. I have a lot of ideas, but I need your help to know where to focus, and to gauge interest. So, if you could take a minute to fill out a survey about it, I'd be grateful. It's at walkingdeadcast.com/survey. Thanks! Man, I (Jason) was really bummed by a lot of things in this episode, and you're going to hear that, but luckily Lucy is here to balance out my grieving and nitpicks with some positivity and thoughtful insight. Exciting episode this week! Plot lines are coming together. Some good character development (followed by at least one of those developed characters' deaths, oh well). And it's feeling like they'll actually wrap this storyline next week, which we can't say we're not happy about... :) This podcast is made possible by listeners like you (and you too) who have supported us at patreon.com/jasonandkaren. Last weekend while Lucy and Lara were hosting the podcast (and doing an amazing job at it, I might add), I was at Walker Stalker Nashville hosting a great panel with a bunch of the cast members of FTWD, including Kevin Zegers (Mel), Daniel Sharman (Troy), Danay Garcia (Luciana), Jenna Elfman (Naomi), Colman Domingo (Strand), and Kim Dickens (Madison). It was awesome, and I'm glad to be able to present it to you now. Enjoy! This podcast is made possible by listeners like you (and you too) who have supported us at patreon.com/jasonandkaren.
