The conversation continues with Deon Cole discussing his experiences of cheating and threesomes, including a bad one he had in Atlanta with a WNBA player, and why he believes social media has fundamentally changed dating and relationships. He touches on his personal style, recounting how he was labeled "gay" for wearing bell-bottom pants early in his career, and how the backlash from the Black community hurt him even as it opened doors to a new audience.
Deon reflects on the lack of unity in the Black community and explains why negativity often seems louder than positivity. He and Shannon share their thoughts on Hollywood parties, with Deon admitting he prefers smaller, intimate gatherings to big, flashy events.
The conversation turns to the Diddy situation and Hollywood parties, where Deon shares insights on how billionaires move differently. He also recounts when Jay-Z declined to take a picture with him and his time writing jokes for celebrities like Conan O'Brien, Snoop Dogg, and Katt Williams. He and Shannon address the fallout from Shannon’s viral interview with Katt earlier in the year, with Deon explaining how that interview sparked a trend of people making outlandish statements just to go viral and how it revealed that comics aren’t always buddy-buddy, while Shannon explains how he approaches conducting interviews.
Deon talks about Netflix’s “Netflix Is a Joke” brunch, which featured himself alongside Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Tiffany Haddish, Lil Rel, and Mike Epps. He recounts Katt Williams leaving the brunch before Kevin Hart arrived but assures there was no tension between the two.
Towards the end, Deon shares a story about kissing Amber Rose on the set of Black-ish and weighs in on the Jonathan Majors situation. With a blend of humor, insight, and storytelling, this episode is packed with unforgettable moments, celebrity shoutouts, and Deon Cole’s signature comedic style.
