Picking up where we left off last week, Victor continues his conversation with Meg Meeker and focuses on the conditions of PTSD in American families. Victor shares some of the symptoms of PTSD and how it can show up in peoples lives –– the aspect of shame that comes with trauma and how it is an epidemic in both the church and the world that can be overlooked. Victor also speaks to those parents who may have unresolved issues or trauma and take it out on their family or those around them at an extreme level and the need to have the courage to do a self-assessment. This episode is recorded from a message on the 15th chapter of the Gospel of Luke that Victor shared from stage. Here he teaches on the parable of the prodigal son and the importance of hope for those who have gone astray. The lure of selfishness and greed can birth destruction while Jesus clearly calls us to be content. Victor shares about the importance of togetherness and communication in marriages and families and how this can be preventative to prodigals. The unconditional love of God is proven by the cross of Jesus Christ and that gives all of us hope for the restoration of broken families.

Join Victor for a conversation with musician, Joseph Rojas. Jospeh grew up in the housing projects of Victoria, Texas, where gunfire and sirens echoed through the neighborhood. But, for Joseph, the rough streets became a refuge from the nightmare from his home life. He tried to commit suicide following a cocaine binge, and became a Christian while being taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Joseph shares a powerful testimony of redemption from coming out of the trauma of an abusive household, anxiety, drugs and addiction and coming to Christ, being renewed along with God restoring his relationship with his father. He is also the founder of Christian rock band, Seventh Day Slumber.
