Jennifer Knapp | Coming Out As Gay At The Height of Her Christian Music Career May 17, 2020

Show notes

In this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast TruthSeekah is joined by Jennifer Knapp as they discuss her experience with coming out as gay At The height of her Christian music career. Jennifer Knapp's meteoric rise in the Christian music industry ended abruptly when she walked away and came out publicly as a lesbian. This is her story. At the top of her career in the Christian music industry, Jennifer Knapp quit. A few years later, she publicly revealed she is gay. A media frenzy ensued, and many of her former fans were angry with what they saw as turning her back on God. But through it all, she held on to the truth that had guided her from the beginning. In this memoir, she finally tells her story: of her troubled childhood, the love of music that pulled her through, her dramatic conversion to Christianity, her rise to stardom, her abrupt departure from Christian Contemporary Music, her years of trying to come to terms with her sexual orientation, and her return to music and Nashville in 2010, when she came out publicly for the first time. She also talks about the importance of her faith, and despite the many who claim she can no longer call herself a believer, she maintains that she is both gay and a Christian. Now an advocate for LGBT issues in the church, Jennifer has witnessed heartbreaking struggles as churches wrestle with issues of homosexuality and faith. This engrossing, inspiring memoir will help people understand her story and to believe in their own stories, whatever they may be. "Back in 2000 where I began to hear a still, small voice within me. It startled me for a bit because, well, it's a voice that I hear inside myself. It continued for a few months. I got curious and wanted to know if this was real or just something I was imagining, so I asked this voice who it was. "It is I, Jesus of Nazareth, who is speaking to you" was the response. Dr.O | Reconciling Demons and Fallen Angels & Ancestral Communion | Adonijah O. Ogbonnaya May 01, 2020

Show notes

In this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast TruthSeekah is joined by Dr.O (Adonijah Ogbonnaya) as they discuss interacting with the spirit world as believers and the idea of reconciling demons and fallen angels & Ancestral Communion. Dr.O says that one of the biggest downfalls of the Christian church is that believers do not truly know the power that they possess in Christ. When the believer does who they are in Christ they will settle for second best and cheap alternatives that lead many astray and away from the truth that is in Jesus. Dr.O also urges believers to stay away from the practice of reconciling demons, fallen angels and disembodied spirits such as ancestors. He likens the practice to necromancy and says that we do not have any scriptural reference to entertain such practices. Within the soul of every human is the longing for the supernatural yet there is a right and wrong way to engage with the spirit world. We are given many examples within the scriptures of other worldly interaction with beings both malevolent and benevolent. Much like humans these beings can be self-serving and deceiving and others work for God to bring about the greater good for mankind. The folly is when a believer tries to initiate an encounter outside of communion directly with the Father. I also asked Dr.O about the late African shaman healer Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa whom he spoke highly of his wisdom of African spiritual tradition, folklore and history. Ron Jones | The Merger: Two Adams — One Destiny Apr 19, 2020

Show notes

In this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast TruthSeekah speaks with Ron Jones as they discuss concepts from his new book The Merger: Two Adams — One Destiny. During the discussion we also talked about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and how to navigate through spiritual awakening as a believer. The first Adam and the Last Adam had the same exact purpose–to fill the earth with the image and likeness of God. If you want to know what the Last Adam is going to do, look at what the first Adam was supposed to do. They were two people with the same divine destiny. God did not need His image and likeness in the realm of His pre-creation existence. It was already there. He wants it in the created realm; that is why He created Adam in His image and according to His likeness in the first place. Christ's sacrifice on the cross was a son-for-son exchange and redemptive reversal to restore the image, likeness, and light of God back to man in the created realm where He wants it revealed. Redemption is not about going to heaven one day; in fact, the believer is already seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Redemption is about the restoration of the created realm through the Lamb of God, who shed His blood to create it and shed His blood to redeem it. As believers, we have been born of incorruptible seed that is the Word of God to look like and reveal God in and to the creation. Navigating Through Gospel Rap and Ministry In Mobile Al, | Ferman Jackson Apr 13, 2020

Show notes

In this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast TruthSeekah is joined by Ferman Jackson as they discuss Navigating Through Gospel Rap and Ministry In Mobile Al. Ferman was there when I first started doing Christian Rap back in 2004, we became really good friends and started doing ministry together. Ferman would help book concerts and preach the gospel during the events. A few years in I got into the Hebrew Israelites movement and started teaching what I was learning to the other brothers in our community. Ferman followed suit, yet he has always been given over to the study of Gods word his studies began to go deeper. We soon hit the streets every Saturday night during the downtown club scene in Mobile Al, and took what we were learning to the streets. We would get out there around 9pm and stay until 3-4 am. We saw some amazing things on thee streets of Mobile preaching hope unto those seeking for answers. Although I no longer follow the strenuous teachings of the Hebrew Israelites I continue to hold on to the good that I learned from those brothers.
