Is Mortal Kombat 2 Really That Bad? Plus Days of Thunder 2 Is Coming! Sep 01, 2026
    Show notes

On the last episode of The Treehouse Show, Dan declared that Mortal Kombat 2 was awful — and apparently that made some people VERY unhappy.
So Trey watched it over the weekend to settle the debate. The verdict? Dan's taste in movies might be the real problem. Trey actually liked Mortal Kombat 2… although Karl Urban may have been the worst part of it.
That sends us straight into the huge announcement about Days of Thunder 2. Cole Trickle is headed back to the big screen, Anne Hathaway is apparently part of the conversation, and once we establish that Randy Quaid is, in fact, still alive, we ask the bigger question: Can Tom Cruise miss anymore?
Then it's Celebrity Birthdays with Lily Tomlin, a little Dolly Parton discussion, and Zendaya turning 30 while continuing one hell of a career run.
And finally, we head to New Mexico for the Green Chile Sauce Murder — where a man allegedly shot his cousin during an argument over whose green chile sauce was hotter.
    Hopefully prison serves red.
It's movies, celebrities, terrible decisions, and completely unnecessary violence over condiments on The Treehouse Show.

Corporate PR Stunts, Bad Decisions & Saying Goodbye to Dolly Parton and Tim Curry Aug 27, 2026
    Show notes

Are corporations really making terrible decisions, or have they figured out that making everyone angry is just free publicity?
On today’s The Treehouse Show, we look at three companies taking heat this week: Good Good Golf, Callaway, and Target. Were these legitimate corporate screwups, calculated PR stunts designed to get people talking, or are the people in charge really making decisions this bad? Target may have already answered that question for us.
Then the show takes a more serious turn as we say goodbye to two entertainment legends. We remember Dolly Parton, her incredible career and what made her truly one of a kind, and then pay tribute to Tim Curry and some of his unforgettable roles.
Finally, because this is still The Treehouse Show, things get weird. We learn an important lesson about why you should never play Russian roulette with a friend with benefits, and an Australian man suffers a devastating loss: his beloved beer fridge.
Corporate disasters, celebrity tributes, questionable relationships, Australian beer emergencies and plenty of laughs — it’s all on The Treehouse Show.

Protect Your Pet at Any Cost? Plus FLOCK Cameras & Tom from MySpace Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

Would you fight someone if you thought they were threatening your pet? Dan almost found out exactly how far he'd go when an encounter with a homeless person nearly turned into a fight.
Welcome to another episode of The Treehouse Show, where apparently we're tackling all of society's biggest problems today.
Are FLOCK cameras really an invasion of privacy—or are people just now realizing how often they're already being watched? We also check in on Tom from MySpace to see what he looks like today and whether it's finally time for him to update that legendary profile picture.
Then we get into Karl Urban and Mortal Kombat II, before asking a much bigger question:
Do kids under 16 really need social media? Some countries are taking aggressive steps to regulate kids' access to social media, so why is it so difficult to do the same thing here?
Homeless confrontations, surveillance cameras, MySpace nostalgia, Mortal Kombat and kids on social media.Just another perfectly normal day inside The Treehouse Show.

Is It Worth It? Dating a Married Ex, TikTok Dates & the Lane Kiffin Gamble Aug 25, 2026
    Show notes

Is it worth it? That’s the question hanging over pretty much everything on today’s episode of The Treehouse Show.
We start in Trey’s personal life, where an ex has resurfaced and wants to go out with him. There’s just one minor complication: she’s still married. She’s going through a divorce after her husband cheated on her, but does “getting divorced” make her fair game? More importantly, is reconnecting with an ex in the middle of all that drama actually worth it?
Then Trey tells us about a completely different adventure: going on a date with someone he met on TikTok. What could possibly go wrong? Turns out, it makes for a pretty damn good story.
Celebrity Birthdays somehow leads us to Stockard Channing, the realization that she’s still alive, and the even more surprising realization that she’s still working.
Finally, we bring “Is It Worth It?” to college football. Lane Kiffin brings wins, attention, controversy and plenty of baggage wherever he goes. Is all of that worth it? LSU is about to find out.
    Dating an ex.
    Dating on TikTok.
    Hiring Lane Kiffin.
Sometimes the potential reward is worth the trouble. And sometimes you should probably know better.

    He Blames Her ASS?! | .4 BAC, a Live Grenade & a Bear Attack Aug 20, 2026
    Show notes

It's a full-blown Stupid Newsapalooza on today's episode of The Treehouse Show!
We start with a guy whose peaceful mushroom-picking adventure takes a slight turn when he gets attacked by a bear. Then it's off to Florida, where a man discovers a very old LIVE GRENADE and makes the questionable decision to pick it up and personally deliver it to the police station. Right idea. VERY wrong order.
Then we meet a woman who somehow registered a .4 blood alcohol level, which sends the Treehouse crew down memory lane wondering just how high their own BACs might have gotten during their prime drinking days.
And finally, Reddit delivers the relationship question we didn't know we needed: Should a woman leave her boyfriend because he can't keep it up... and says HER ASS is the reason?
Apparently, he has a very particular preference.
And no, it's probably not the one you're guessing.
It's bears, booze, bombs, bad decisions and bedroom problems on today's Treehouse Show.

Who’s REALLY Behind Texas’ THC Crackdown? | The Treehouse Show Aug 19, 2026
    Show notes

Texas just got a whole lot tougher on THC — but who’s really behind the crackdown?
Today on The Treehouse Show, Trey and Dan dig into Texas’ harsh new rules targeting hemp-derived THC products. Why is the state coming down so hard on THC? Who has been pushing for tougher restrictions? And could the alcohol industry have something to do with it? The answer might surprise you.
Then we move into Celebrity Birthdays, where things go off the rails as usual. We celebrate the birthday of the man behind Jar Jar Binks, which naturally sends us back into the Star Wars universe.
Then John Stamos somehow leads us into a discussion about female artists who have turned breakups, heartbreak and terrible ex-boyfriends into massively successful albums. No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom is the all time greatest in this catagory.
And finally, it’s Bill Clinton’s birthday, which leads to a much bigger question:Is Bill Clinton the greatest U.S. president of the last 60 years?
    Trey thinks he might be.
Texas THC laws, weed politics, Star Wars, breakup albums, Bill Clinton and presidential rankings — just another perfectly normal day inside The Treehouse Show.

Do You Eat the Fat Beaver? FLOCK Cameras, Serial Killers & Naked Grand Theft Fire Truck Aug 18, 2026
    Show notes

We’re asking the hard-hitting questions today on The Treehouse Show — starting with the ironically named Good Morning Detroit and one question we absolutely were not prepared for:
Do you eat the fat beaver?
Once we recover from that, we head to North Texas, where FLOCK license plate cameras are raising questions about privacy, surveillance and just how much we’re comfortable with technology keeping tabs on us. Do the cameras make you feel safer, or does the whole thing bother you?
Then it’s time for Celebrity Birthdays, with a pretty solid lineup including Christian Slater and the late, great Patrick Swayze.
Things take a much darker turn with a bizarre case out of Philadelphia that has people wondering if authorities could be dealing with a serial killer.
And because we can’t possibly end on something that serious, we finish with a story involving a naked woman stealing a fire truck.
Beavers. Surveillance cameras. Possible serial killers. Naked fire-truck theft.Just another day inside The Treehouse Show.

She Drunkenly Confessed WHAT?! | Reddit Relationship Disasters Aug 13, 2026
    Show notes

Today on The Treehouse Show, we've got a couple of Reddit relationship disasters that raise some serious questions about what your significant other really needs to know about your past.
First, a woman thinks her boyfriend is probably going to leave her after she got drunk and admitted to a co-worker that she once got pregnant after hooking up with a guy on the bathroom floor of a club. Her boyfriend heard the confession, and now she's wondering if she just destroyed her relationship. Is he overreacting—or did she reveal something he has every right to care about? Then we've got a wife who's furious after finding out her husband slept with his sister. Before you call the police, there's a catch—and somehow we're actually siding with the husband on this one.
Celebrity birthdays take us down another rabbit hole as we talk Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, Hollywood backend points, and how some actors can make an absolute fortune after a movie leaves theaters.Plus, Trey explains why he thinks the all-female fight scene in Avengers: Endgame was completely unnecessary, and somehow we wind up remembering the classic TV series Emergency!
Reddit relationship drama, Marvel arguments, Hollywood money, and old-school television. Just another day in The Treehouse Show.

Split the Bill or Pay Your Share? When Is It Fair—and When Are You Just Cheap? | The Treehouse Show Aug 12, 2026
    Show notes

When you go out to dinner with a big group, are you obligated to split the bill evenly—or should you only pay for what you actually ordered? And at what point does refusing to split the check make you look cheap?
That’s the debate kicking off this episode of The Treehouse Show.
Trey recently went to a birthday dinner with a large group and asked the server to put him on a separate tab. Why? The rest of the table was ordering bottles of wine, cocktails, and beer, while Trey wasn’t drinking. He still contributed toward the birthday person’s dinner and drinks, paid for everything he ordered himself, and tipped his server 40%.
Seems fair, right? Apparently not to everyone at the table.
So where’s the line? If one person orders a $20 meal while everyone else is ordering expensive drinks, appetizers, and entrées, should the entire bill still be divided evenly? Is asking for a separate check perfectly reasonable—or does it make you the cheap friend?
After settling absolutely nothing in that debate, we move on to Celebrity Birthdays, which somehow leads to a conversation about rehab, reports about Brad Pitt drinking again, and whether some TV shows noticeably changed their writing and messaging after COVID.
Then things get appropriately weird. We cover the story of a homeless man who allegedly managed to sneak onto a JetBlue flight, and we have an update on a story that refuses to go away: the man who says he has the world’s smallest penis.
Dinner etiquette, drinking, celebrities, airline security, questionable decisions, and penis news. Just another perfectly normal episode of The Treehouse Show.

Gold Digger or Chivalry? The Boyfriend Who Bought ONE Earring Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Is she a gold digger, entitled…or is her boyfriend just being chivalrous?
Today on The Treehouse Show, we dive into a Reddit relationship debate about a guy who always pays for his girlfriend. His friend wants to know why she never seems to pick up the check or buy anything. Is she taking advantage of him? Is he spoiling her? Or is this just old-school chivalry?
Then we meet a couple on the COMPLETE opposite end of the relationship spectrum. This guy has been living off his girlfriend for THREE YEARS, and in all that time, he's bought her exactly one earring. Not earrings. AN earring. Somehow, that's not even the weirdest relationship story we've discussed.
Celebrity birthdays send us down another rabbit hole: actors who milk one role for their entire career. From Chris Hemsworth and Ellen Pompeo to William Shatner, when an actor becomes permanently associated with one character, were they typecast—or did they hit the career jackpot?
Plus, Trey saw the new Spider-Man movie, so he and Dan break down what they liked, what they didn't, and where it fits in the Spider-Man universe.
Finally, we close today's show on a much more personal note. The Treehouse family lost one of its own, Robert Powell, and we take some time to remember him and say goodbye.
Relationships, gold diggers, one lonely earring, Spider-Man, typecasting and a heartfelt farewell—all on today's Treehouse Show.
