Did you know:

Your thoughts physically create pathways in your brain
Your actual physical heart has brain cells around it tied to your identity/goal center in your brain?
If you don't believe you can do, be or have something in your life, your brain will literally create the circumstances to fulfill your beliefs?

I’ve believed all this for years because of what the Scriptures teach us about renewing our minds, But recently I had the honor of sitting down for a chat with my friend, Dr. Darlene Mayo. Dr. Mayo is a Christian neurosurgeon and neuroscientist and one of the foremost experts on the topic of renewing your mind from a brain chemistry perspective.

This is one of the most fascinating interviews I've ever done on this subject, and I know you’re going to want to hear what Dr. Darlene has to share on this topic.

Bob Dylan said it best years ago, "the times they are a-changin." That was certainly true back in the 1960s, and it's certainly the case today. With all that's gone in the past year, it's easy to lose hope and feel a bit directionless.

In this episode, I share a recent message I gave at my home church on this very topic. In that sermon, A Holy Hybrid, I took lessons from the early church and merged them with some practical steps we all can take to walk in the fullness of everything God is calling us to do as believers and Kingdom artists in this day and age.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed at times with Instagram, Facebook, Tic Toc, Club House, Linked In and all of the different social media platforms that are out there? Part of me thinks they are a wonderful opportunity for connecting with others to share our ideas and art, but sometimes the dark side of social media can leave me feeling gross, overwhelmed, and maybe even a little demeaned.

Well, in my blog and in this week’s episode of 5-Minute Mentoring, I’ll be sharing how I find the balance between the real community we create online versus those random unhinged comments that pop up on our social media feeds.
