    Show notes

    October 13, 2025 -

Season 16, Episode 36 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 6 Sunday home win against the Cleveland Browns and how the team must now get ready to play on a short week.

As part of our Monday Housekeeping segment, which is brought to you by Touring Plans, Alex and I go over the Steelers' Week 6 inactive list, the transactions that were made on Saturday, and the injury sustained by S Miles Killebrew against the Browns, which is likely to end his 2025 season.

As usual, Alex and I get into recap the Steelers' win against the Browns. We start on the offensive side of the football and talk about several individual performances, the few big plays and the plays to WR DK Metcalf and TE Connor Heyward for touchdowns. We discuss the running game being adequate against the Browns and how there is still room for improvement when it comes to that phase. We also talk about the play of the offensive line, tight ends, and running backs on Sunday and how and why Browns DE Myles Garrett wasnt allowed to wreck the game on Sunday.

The Steelers recorded another six sacks on Sunday. We go over the solid performances of several Steelers defensive players against the Browns, and we make sure to highlight the strong games that both OLB Nick Herbig and CB Jalen Ramsey put on tape. We discuss the play of every position group on defense and how the Browns running game was limited.

Alex and I go over several of the snaps counts from Sunday and especially on the defensive side of the football. We discuss how a few key players on defense were rested some late in Sunday's game and how that could wind up paying dividends on a short week. The Sunday penalty total is also discussed during this show.
After fully recapping the Steelers' win against the Browns, Alex and I discuss a few notable things that Steelers HC Mike Tomlin had to say right after the Sunday game and during his Monday press conference.

Alex and I discuss a few other notable things from around the NFL, and we also start looking ahead to how the Steelers might gameplan for new Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco on Thursday night.

This 70-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted.

The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers Vs Browns, Injury Reports, Coordinator Pressers, Week 6 Picks & More Oct 10, 2025
    Show notes

    October 10, 2025 -

Season 16, Episode 35 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking briefly about the Thursday night game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles and how it was a huge coming out party for both QB Jaxson Dart and RB Cam Skattebo on the main stage.

Alex and I move on to discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' injury report heading into Friday. We talk about Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey and WR Calvin Austin III both trying to return this week from their respective injuries. We also discuss what the early inactive list for the Sunday home game against the Cleveland Browns is shaping up to be.

The Steelers brought in a few free agents for tryouts this past week, so Alex and I go over that list of players and the return of ILB Jacoby Windmon to the practice squad.

On Thursday, we heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions.

Will Steelers OL Spencer Anderson factor into the receiving game on Sunday against the Browns? Alex and I go deep into trying to answer that question on this Friday. We also talk about the roles of Steelers outside linebackers Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig on Sunday and if either have a shot at making huge plays against the Browns.

Alex and I welcome Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram and Medina Gazette back to the show, and he helps us get started with a preview of the Steelers-Browns game. Petrak has covered the Browns for many seasons, and nobody knows that team better than he does. We get his thoughts on several things related to Sunday’s game at Acrisure Stadium.

Scott fills us in on the two trades that the Browns made this past week and if the loss of veteran QB Joe Flacco might impact the upcoming game against the Steelers from a preparation standpoint. We talk about the Browns on offense and defense and how Cleveland’s rookie class seems to be impacting the team in a lot of positive ways so far in 2025.

At the end of our talk with Petrak, he gives us his score prediction for the Steelers-Browns game.

If not already doing so, make sure to follow Scott on X/Twitter at @ScottPetrak and make sure to read his work here: https://www.brownszone.com

After finishing with Petrak, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Browns game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football on Sunday at Acrisure stadium in Pittsburgh.

Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for all of the Week 6 games in the NFL using the lines provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. We also give our score predictions for Steelers-Browns to end that segment.

This 112-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we close out this show by answering a few questions we received via email from listeners.

October 9 – Ep. 75: For this episode of The Depot Dive, Ross McCorkle and Joe Clark start by discussing the ongoing collapse of the AFC North as well as recent trades made around the division. Is it already safe to say the Steelers will win the division or is that jumping the gun? We discuss all of that and more before previewing the Steelers' Week 6 game against the Browns.

For the second topic, we talk about the Steelers' jumbo package on offense with OL Spencer Anderson acting as a tackle-eligible on the end of the line of scrimmage. How will that change the offense and are they prepping to throw him a pass?

For the third topic, we go over the injury reports for both the Steelers and Browns.

To wrap up the show, we answer a listener question about Will Howard and Skylar Thompson.

The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers' Week 6 Injury Outlook, Transactions, Tomlin Tuesday, Flacco Trade & More Oct 08, 2025
    Show notes

    October 8, 2025 -

Season 16, Episode 34 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers exiting their bye week as they start to prepare to play the Cleveland Browns at home on Sunday.

Alex and I discuss the recent transactions made by the Steelers and the team losing one of their practice squad players to the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday.

By the sound of things, the Steelers will get CB Joey Porter Jr. (hamstring), OLB Alex Highsmith (ankle), and RB Jaylen Warren (knee) back from their injuries on Sunday against the Browns. Additionally, and based on what Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday, it sounds like WR Calvin Austin III (shoulder) and CB Jalen Ramsey are both highly questionable to play against the Browns. We also wonder if Austin and Ramsey could wind up missing the team's Week 7 game next Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals as well.

With Tomlin holding his weekly press conference on Tuesday, Alex and I have a lot to recap when it comes to notable things he had to say. We discuss the Steelers’ expected usage of their tight ends the next few weeks and which wide receiver or wide receivers might see expanded action against the Browns on Sunday should Austin wind up being sidelined with his shoulder injury.

Will and should the Steelers use more 13-personnel that includes TE Darnell Washington and OL Spencer Anderson on Sunday against the Browns? Alex and I attempt to answer that question midway through this Wednesday episode.

Tomlin talked about the development of rookie RB Kaleb Johnson on Tuesday, so we discuss that topic for a bit. We also go over the several things that Tomlin had to say about the Browns on Tuesday and that includes his thoughts on their rookie QB Dillon Gabriel and what the plan might be to slow down DE Myles Garrett on Sunday.

The Browns traded veteran QB Joe Flacco to the Bengals on Tuesday, so Alex and I discuss what that deal likely means for both teams in addition to the Steelers. We also discuss the Week 6 trade that Baltimore Ravens have made.

Is New York Jets WR Allen Lazard destined to become a Steeler at some point before the annual trade deadline arrives? Alex and I make sure to address that question during this show.

This 96-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted, and we close things by answering a few emails that we recently received from listeners.
