    "How can I learn to get the nerves under control when I play matches? I want to stop being so anxious before matches. I'm a high level 3.5 player who competes well against 4.0 but struggles with the pusher/no pace ball at 3.5 which is frustrating. I worry about losing to this type of player."

    "I am a very committed player and I work on mental game strategies (goal setting, focus, concentration, play one point at the time, positive self-talk, etc). However, what if you have perfectionism and thus have confidence and self-doubt issues? How do you manage "not to try too hard" in matches that causes you to tighten up and make mistakes as a result? How do you just get lost in a match game enjoying it without thinking of consequences?

    My main problem is when my partner and I lose twice in a row, we let that "we're in a losing streak" mentality creep up the next time we play. How can I leave that behind? Also, I did teach myself tennis, so I know my strokes aren't always the ones taught, but most of the time they work for me. Do you think I should try to change them or concentrate on doubles playing?"
