Day 7 at the US Open began with a shock as Ash Barty lost to Qiang Wang, ended with another one as Stan Wawrinka knocked out Novak Djokovic, and included a big victory for Jo Konta over Karolina Pliskova.
Catherine Whitaker and David Law (with a quick appearance from Matt Roberts) get stuck into it all on The Tennis Podcast. How has Konta changed as a player and a person over the past few months? What is it about playing Djokovic at Grand Slams that brings out the best in Wawrinka? And how does Djokovic's defeat change the complexion of the men's tournament?
Elsewhere, Federer's exceptional performance is covered, Daniil Medvedev vs. New York is enjoyed once again, and Catherine and David give their updated reaction to the on-court interview between Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff.

They talk about the way in which Coco Gauff’s run is transcending tennis, Serena Williams’s chase for 24, how the sport should deal with Nick Kyrgios, and the reasons behind umpire Damian Steiner's dismissal.
Finally, the best of the action from Friday at Flushing Meadows is wrapped up, including an update on the health of Novak Djokovic’s shoulder, and news of the way in which Daniil Medvedev antagonised the crowd and then thanked them for booing him in an extraordinary post-match interview.

Only nine matches were completed on Wednesday at the US Open as rain fell in New York, but there were still things for Catherine Whitaker and David Law to discuss.
They start with some Nick Kyrgios drama from the night before, and in particular his comment that the ATP is "pretty corrupt". Can he say that without evidence? Was he wise to clarify that position in a statement? And is all this just a distraction from the fact that his behaviour in Cincinnati is still under review and he still hasn't apologised to umpire Fergus Murphy?
Elsewhere, Elina Svitolina played superbly to beat a coffee-fuelled Venus Williams, and Roger Federer came from a set down to beat Damir Dzumhur. What's causing his slow starts? And how did he turn the match around so emphatically?
Finally, David reveals the hint he received that Borna Coric was going to withdraw, and there's chat about the ATP's decision to dismiss umpire Damian Steiner.
There will be daily editions of The Tennis Podcast throughout the US Open, produced in association with The Telegraph.

Day two at the US Open was one of those days where you didn't know where to look. With so much happening, including upsets galore in the men's draw, Catherine Whitaker and David Law had to convene twice to discuss it all on The Tennis Podcast.
Defeats for Stefanos Tsitsipas, Dominic Thiem and Roberto Bautista Agut have thrown things wide open in the bottom half of the men's draw. Is Tsitsipas simply suffering from burnout? How well did Andrey Rublev do to navigate the drama and disrupt him? And is it even a surprise that Thiem lost?
Elsewhere, Catherine and David chat about Rafael Nadal's comfortable win over John Millman, Denis Shapovalov's demolition of Felix Auger-Aliassime, and defeat for Kyle Edmund.
In the women's draw, three-set wins for Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep and Coco Gauff are covered. And is Aryna Sabalenka beginning to rediscover her best form? Her prospects are discussed after a thrilling win over Victoria Azarenka.
