Original Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7BQaQE_Jn8 The recurring image of the mass shooter is a symptom of celebrity culture, where our attention, rather than being taken by our transcendent purpose and common identity is rather tyrannized by a succession of excesses. This stems from a deep misunderstanding of what symbolism is. Symbolism is not so much an arbitrary allegorical representation of something, but rather the very pattern by which we notice meaning. I try to analyze some of the imagery he uses in his videos. This is based on Alex Jones' latest appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. Original Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8BaY0e-VTQ Analyzing the symbolic meaning behind the resurgence of flat earth theories and their adherents who stem from all types of backgrounds. The strange resurgence of the flat earth movement, which became stronger in the last few years because of the internet, has surprised and confused many as to how such a social movement could be possible today. I try to look at what such social change means for us.
