That’s how it feels, broken and it hasn’t been easy for many people myself included. My mental health has been fluctuating and finding my balance has been a walk on a high rope. So this week I decided to create a new normal. This is how I see it; I’m a creator. I can create my own rules and regulations and in this instance, schedule. Tapiwa is a magnificent Zimbabwean man that I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few months and his life continues to intrigue me. Dear Law is a women-led project focused on using storytelling and survivor-centred approaches. This project was inspired by the #MeToo movement, that prompted critical conversations towards accountability for sexual harassment. Dear Law project is to bring to the fore and amplify the voices and collective sexual harassment experiences of women in the legal profession with a view to disrupt the normalisation of sexual harassment. Just a heads up, as this is a podcast about sexual harassment, we will be talking about a difficult subject matter that might be disturbing for some listeners. That was an actual experience of lawyer in Nairobi read and reenacted by voice actors. In the coming episodes we will be diving into the difference between the sexual harassment employment act and the sexual offenses act. Shedding light on your rights in and out of the workplace. I was invited to sit on a panel at a sex positive festival, a first of it’s kind in that area and definitely not a last.
