You Gotta See This Stank Bod! (with Sabrina Jalees) Feb 20, 2019

Show notes

This week we got suuuuuper cozy with our bud, Sabrina Jalees! We chat about bad haircuts, a mustache that just won’t quit, the level of stank we enjoy on our partners, and her very own Soft Spot, 90’s dream queen, Jennifer Love Hewitt! Sabrina took us back to her days as a polite and confused 9 year old who scoured mags to make clippings of Jennifer Love Hewitt with the dedication and precision of a budding young stalker. We also talked about how it feels to be around close buds like *Jon Hamm, *Selena Gomez, and our close personal friend, *Ryan Gosling! (*celebs who we absolutely do not know) Come and get this ep while it’s hot! We had such a blast that we will for sure be having Sabrina back someday... so in her words this one is “poo be continued”! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

He Got the Beat (with Jimmy Pardo) Feb 06, 2019

Show notes

Guys, let's be real: stand up comedian and legendary "Never Not Funny" host Jimmy Pardo had the quintessential 80's adolescence. The man worked at a RECORD STORE in the MALL in the SUBURBS of Chicago fer chrissakes. He basically lived Fast Times at Ridgemont High! Luckily he joined us on the Soft Spot to tell us about it. Did he masturbate to Phoebe Cates? We didn't ask. But he did drive a Pontiac Fiero, so he probably didn't have to (wink wink). He's Got to Be Somebody's Baby, he's so fine. Going the Distance w/ Kevin Camia Jan 30, 2019

Show notes

Hey softies! This week we have the soothingly hilarious Kevin Camia on to talk about his soft spot: the band Cake. A frequent opener for Ali Wong and costar of the Dress Up Gang (just premiered at Sundance) Kevin started comedy to alleviate panic attacks, something that sounds super counter productive if you ask us! But his consistent appreciation for the band behind hits like Never There and Going the Distance will really hit home with a lot of you. And remember, if they can’t get Prozac, let em eat Cake! I’m with HERmione (with Lisa Chanoux) Jan 02, 2019

Show notes

Julian and Meg are in the tiny percentage of people who know absolutely nothing of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This week we sat down with comedian Lisa Chanoux, and she gave the Muggles of the Soft Spot a proper lesson in wizardry. Lisa knows a thing or two about wizardry herself, as she is one of the hosts of popular astrology podcast “What’s Your Sign?”. The three of us chat about the books versus the movies, growing up with Harry, and the political undertones and deeper meanings of the books. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
