Whenever Trump says or does something bad, stupid, ignorant, corrupt, dishonest, bigoted, or lawless, it's never HIS fault. Trump's supporters will blame EVERYONE else but Trump. Which is weird. Because they don't do that with anyone else. They truly do enable Trump to be nothing more than a pathetic victim.

Trump couldn't say one word, or take one moment to praise the return of the hostages yesterday. He's just utterly incapable. He's a horrible human being. But I know every single one of his supporters took a moment to rejoice in their return. I know that.

Paul Miller (@pauliespoint) and I are almost identical politically. We're both free market guys. And we've been friends forever. But in November, we'll vote for two different people. We sat down with each other to try to understand why this is.

Kamala Harris is bi-racial. Dad from Jamaica, mom from India, they met in California. And lost in all of Trump's ugly, divisive, racist attack yesterday against Harris is how utterly cool and uniquely American her story is. Her story should be celebrated, not attacked.

I got a message from a Trump supporter yesterday. It stopped me in my tracks. Look, I get hundreds of messages of hate every day, but every now and then I get one that stops me cold and makes me realize this whole country needs a political "time out." This was that message.

The old man, convinced he couldn't win & concerned for his country, walked away from power. The bad man, having lost an election, committed crimes, abused his office, and incited an insurrection to hang on to power. We don't know yet how this story will end.

Former supporter of mine argued with me last night. He believes what the Dems did with Biden was a coup. Which I know is utter bullshit. But I didn't say that to him. I listened to him to understand why he felt that way. And I'm glad I did. Because I learned a lot.
