Instead, we’re calling out the abuse of power and relentless attacks on our democracy wherever they appear. But it’s not enough to just talk about what’s going on. This moment demands going a step further.

The goal of The Siren is not just to analyze the news, but to ignite action.

We turn outrage into direction. We organize calls to stop the passing of dangerous legislation. We spotlight the next generation of Democratic leadership. All while mobilizing around the most pressing issues of our time.

BOMBSHELL: Doctors Gave Trump a DEMENTIA TEST At Walter Reed Oct 31, 2025

We’ve all witnessed Trump’s rapid health decline. His ankles. His drooping face. The way he walks. But now, we’ve learned that Trump was given a MoCA test, also know as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment test, during his recent medical examination at Walter Reed Medical Center. A MoCA test is used by medical professionals to identify potential issues with attention, memory, and language.

Trump later confused this as an IQ test (which it isn’t) and of course, tried to brag about his results. The genius-in-chief had this to say: “AOC is low IQ. You give her an IQ test, have her pass, like, the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed,” he said. “I took– Those are very hard– They’re really aptitude tests, I guess, in a certain way, but they’re cognitive tests. Let AOC go against Trump.”

He continued, “The first couple questions are easy: a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe, you know. When you get up to about five or six and then when you get up to 10 and 20 and 25, they couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions.”

The East Wing Is Completely Gone- The Siren LIVE 10/24/25 Oct 24, 2025

It was yet another week filled with wild and disturbing news from the regime. But seeing the East Wing of the White House, one of the most historically significant buildings in America, fall victim to Trump’s latest egomaniacal desires was particularly hard to watch.

It encapsulated everything that Trump and his acolytes are doing to our country. Their outright disregard for our laws, for our history, for the will of the people, and their embrace of self-serving pro-billionaire legislation, all while taking a wrecking ball to democracy, our rights, and our freedoms.

Harry Dunn, Joel Rubin, and Sam Schwartz from The Siren also discuss prominent Trump ally Steve Bannon’s extremely disturbing interview in which he said, “[Trump’s] going to get a third term ... so Trump is going to be president in 2028. And people just ought to get accommodated with that,” he said in an interview with The Economist.

“At the appropriate time we’ll lay out what the plan is. But there’s a plan. We had longer odds in ‘16 and longer odds in ‘24 than we’ve got in ‘28,” Bannon added.

And of course, this is on top of key Trump officials declaring that Trump will use the National Guard to stop the midterm elections (New York Times), a pro-Trump operative buying Dominion Voting Systems and rebranding it “Liberty Vote,” and the GOP’s attempts to gerrymander and overturn the Voting Rights Act.

The panel also discusses pardoned January 6th insurrectionist Christopher Moynihan’s felony charge after he made a terroristic threat against Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, as well as the need to support the Democrats running in the upcoming November 2025 elections.

His reflections on that day were sobering, especially as he addressed the current attempts to rewrite the narrative and the troubling pardons granted to some participants. It’s Friday, October 17th, meaning this Republican shutdown is officially tied with the 2013 shutdown, the fourth-longest in U.S. history at 17 days. We are rapidly approaching Trump’s previous record, the No. 1 longest government shutdown in U.S. history, which took place during his first term at 34 days long. Notably, there were zero government shutdowns during the Biden Administration.

On this episode of The Siren Podcast, Jo is joined by New Jersey Senator Andy Kim for an in-depth discussion on the experiences and challenges he faces as a newly elected Senator during these insane times, the Republican Shutdown, and tomorrow’s No Kings protests. Jo and Senator Kim also discuss how the Republican party has completely been taken over by Donald Trump, and ceded their Congressional oversight. The duo also discusses how Republicans are currently treating themselves to an extended paid vacation, all while federal workers are missing paychecks.

As of right now, more than 700,000 federal employees have been furloughed, and nearly as many are continuing to work without receiving paychecks.

During the second half of the episode, New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin joins The Siren Podcast to discuss his work as the top law enforcement official in New Jersey, how Democratic Attorneys General are standing up to Trump in this moment, his lifesaving work to end gun violence, and the weaponization of the federal government in the form of political indictments of Trump’s enemies.

The Tide Is Finally Turning. Millions To Protest On October 18th Oct 17, 2025

On October 18th, millions of Americans in all 50 states will peacefully and patriotically take to the streets to protest the fascist Trump regime. The protests, aptly titled, “NO KINGS” are meant to show the government that we, the people, are the ones in charge. We hold all the power, and they answer only to us.

There are over 2,600 protests currently planned, each with a safety team and strategies to diffuse violent agitators.

Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, the progressive organization in charge of the planned protests, joins The Siren for a special livestream to support the protests and encourage Americans to take their grievances to the streets this October 18th, peacefully. Ezra is joined by Jo Carducci, co-founder of The Siren and host of this livestream, and by Jess Craven, Rep. Maxwell Frost, Harry Dunn, Joel Rubin, Jill Jonassen, Brooklyn Dad Defiant, & Tara Setmayer of The Seneca Project.

Leader Jeffries earlier today got into a sparring match with Republican Rep. Mike Lawler on Lawler’s tax breaks for billionaires. As Leader Jeffries told us (in his unfiltered breakdown of the incident), “I think he thought he was confronting Beltway Hakeem. Well, he saw Brooklyn Hakeem.”

The panel discusses the urgent fight from Democrats to protect Medicaid for Americans and keep healthcare costs down. The conversation also ventured into why so many hospitals are closing in Republican led districts across the country, the Republican lie that Democrats are fighting for illegal immigrants to get healthcare, and just how far Democrats are willing to go in this shutdown fight.
