The Simple Life with Gary Collins

We’re bombarded by too much stress, not enough time for personal fulfillment, and failing to take care of our health. There has to be a better way, and your host Gary Collins believes he’s figured it out by asking one question, “how can I make my life simpler?” Twice a week Navy veteran, former federal agent, and entrepreneur Gary Collins brings you fantastic guests (such as Rep. Thomas Massie, economist/actor Ben Stein, Sirius XM DJ Kristine Stone) covering topics such as financial freedom, building healthy habits, and finding your life’s purpose. If you’re ready to stop being a spectator in your own life and instead make real moves, this is the show you’ve been looking for.

Today, we have some great questions: * Some Updates and much more to come 1. (Marylin W) After 2 years of this covid b.s., I am finding it hard to get my mojo going again. I am a bit of an introvert to begin with. I don't need an excuse to not go somewhere. But, I am a bit sick of just hanging out at home. Can you give me some tips on getting back out there and reengaging in the real world. I have hobbies that I used to do with other people, (knitting, ukulele, painting). Since we can't get together, (I live in California), I have lost a bit of my motivation and have stopped doing them. I joined a gym in December, then Omicron hit and I stopped going. I really don't want to get sick. 2. (Patrick D) I have been following you and trying to eat primal since your first episode with Jack on tsp. I can go stretches of time eating that way then I fall off. As an example last February I started again. Dropped 35 pounds. Did very well until November. Sun then I put it all back on. How do I keep it going and stay with it? 3. (David M) What are your thoughts on paying for children’s college education? Specifically in Engineering at an Engineering specific school. 4. (Robert M) What are your dog(s) names? Ep 139: Maj Toure of Black Guns Matter – Why The Second Amendment is So Important Feb 22, 2022
    Show notes

Maj is an American political activist and rapper. A native of North Philadelphia, Toure founded the educational nonprofit organization Black Guns Matter in 2016. The organization advocates for the right to keep and bear arms, and promotes responsible ownership of firearms within African-American and urban communities. He has released three rap/hip hop recordings: Solutionary Vol. 1 (2005), Solutionary Vol. 2 (2014), and Solutionary Vol. 3 (2016). Toure was a candidate for an at-large seat in the Philadelphia City Council in the city's 2019 election. He ran as a Libertarian. In addition to his support for Second Amendment rights, his stated political priorities included: criminal justice reform; ending the practice of solitary confinement; legalization of cannabis; improved education in Philadelphia; and conflict resolution training for disconnected youths. On November 5, 2019, Toure finished 15th in a field of 17 candidates in the city's election, failing to secure a seat on the City Council. He received 5,676 votes (0.46% of the vote total). Toure spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February 2019. In a dialogue with Lawrence B. Jones in 2021, Toure applauded grassroots anti-racist protestors for emphasizing that black lives do in fact matter, while denouncing Black Lives Matter, Inc. as a "money laundering operation" that "fleeces the black community," with the goal of aiding Democratic politicians. Topics Discussed: * What is Black Guns Matter and what does it do * Why is The Bill of Rights and especially the 2nd Amendment so important for maintaining freedom * Why if you are going to exercise your 2nd Amendment right you need to know gun safety * How Australia by giving up their guns opened up the door to tyranny * Is the Libertarian Party a valid alternative to the Republican and Democratic Party system * Why money will not cure your problems * How Joe Rogan screwed the rest of us * Why Maj and I have never been invited on Joe Rogan’s Podcast * Why the truth tellers never get the spotlight shined on them and that is ok * Understanding the Trucker Convoy movement * Why giving back is what will truly make you happy * Why do the ultra rich never seem to help when help is needed * Why we are all different, yet all the same * Is Ron Desantis the answer for the future of politics or is he just doing what every politician should be doing * Are “No Knock Warrants” needed * Why true community policing is the answer to our current crime and police relationship problems * Why I will never use the word Picnic ever again * Maj’s next adventure in the State of Florida *** And much, much more we cover a lot of ground in these 2 hours so make sure to listen to the entire episode. 137: The Sane Virologist – Why The Covid Death Numbers Just Don’t Add Up Feb 15, 2022
    Show notes

In this ground breaking episode The Sane Virologist and I, dig into the death rate numbers and data surrounding these numbers. Would it surprise you they just don’t add up. There is a lot of funny business going on and we the data and numbers, but we get to the bottom of the BS, and you will probably be surprised… we have been being lied to - big time! After two years of living in a Corona Virus world, things just seem to get stranger and stranger. At the risk of getting canceled and bombarded from all angles, I have decided I have had enough, and I'm not alone. Slowly our individual rights are being eroded by a virus that has now become political ammo to do so. With that I found a Virologist who was willing to tell the truth, yes I have had to hide her identity, because woke people, cancel culture, and our government is off the rails, but I feel these are some of the best and most informative podcast episodes out there today. How did we get here? What does the data actually say? If you ask these simple questions, you are a virus, vaccine, and science denier. If you don't follow what appears to be a completely incompetent government hell-bent on tyranny, you have become the enemy. How did asking questions that are rational and well thought out make you an enemy of your own government? If you attempt to ask questions or provide data to the contrary of "the science" you will be instantly de-platformed in many cases on social media and at the very least have that content taken down. Does that sound like what the founding fathers intended when they wrote the 1st Amendment... I don't think so. What makes this country great, is that we can express our opinions and have a rational debate. Covid appears to be ending that, and that is a very disturbing place to be. Today, I'm bringing back on a microbiologist/virologist, who has some of the most impressive bonafides on the subject of Covid. There is no agenda, no Youtube channel to promote, and no books to sell, just an honest interpretation of the data by a true professional in the field. I did all the research and had many conversations with "Sane Virologist X" so rest assured this is the real deal. Topics Discussed: * How my cursory research showed there is a problem with the Covid Death Rate numbers * Digging deeper - The Sane Virologist finds massive irregularities in the numbers * How the John Hopkins study shows that government mandates had almost zero effect on saving any lives from covid * How people in Canada (Trucker Convoy) are leading the way in North America and saying enough while America idly watches * What the CDC information really says * Why the data as it relates to Covid is greatly flawed * What ever happened to the flu and colds in the data * Are you at more risk of dying or becoming greatly ill from the vaccinations or just getting Covid * Are they (governments) trying to hide information on purpose * Why are therapeutics hardly talked about * Why is the government making it hard to get therapeutics * Why you should think twice about pointing your finger at someone and telling them they must get vaccinated * What the numbers say about how many people have died from getting vaccinated * How two states skewed the death rate number in 2020 * How other illnesses have increased and caused greater death numbers than actual Covid * Why you need to worry about you and not about telling others what to do when it comes to Covid * Why the number one deterrent for catching Covid is being healthy * Why it is criminal to vaccinate small children when they have an almost zero chance of dying from Covid Episode References: Dr Ryan Cole, interview re increases in cancer : https://www.theepochtimes.com/dr-ryan-cole-alarming-cancer-trend-suggests-covid-19-vaccines-alter-natural-immune-response_4250442.html?utm_source=ATLNewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2021-02-19 Fohse, et al The BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 reprograms both the adaptiv...

Ep 135: Myles Wakeham: How Anyone can Make Money in Real Estate Feb 08, 2022
    Show notes

Have you always wanted to get into real estate investing, but just don't know how or where to start? Well, today, I have a fellow soldier of freedom and living the life you want, Myles Wakem. Myles and I have been investing in real estate for decades and have learned many lessons during that time. Today, we share with you some of those lessons and how anyone can get started in real estate investing and be successful if they exercise patience and realize it is not a get-rich-quick scheme. As always, we dip into numerous other subjects relating to the economy, government abuse of power, and how taxation is actually theft. About Myles in his own words: I was born and raised in Adelaide, Australia. Adelaide was a wonderful place. Clean, great community, great weather, great food. I mean the idyllic location. My parents were not wealthy, but nor were they poor. My father worked all of his life for the same company. My mother was a stay-at-home parent. My parents owned their own home and paid it off. They struggled financially but were able to put me through private school. I was an only child – I guess I didn’t have to share their focus with another, so I got lucky. I had always been interested in technology from a young age. I was such an avid learner that I would go to great extremes to seek out things and get involved in clubs, community groups, etc. I rode my bike everywhere – even for hours to the city’s center to spend my Sunday afternoons in the public library. Soaking up every bit of knowledge I could get. Strange things that people often didn’t pay attention to. But I did. One day I got exposed to CB Radios. This was in the 1970s. I became obsessed (as I often did with things). I learned about electronics, physics, communications, etc. This led me towards computers, and eventually, I bought one of the first personal computers – in 1978, the TRS-80 Model 1 computer. I learned everything about programming that computer, and it became everything to me. As the computer industry evolved, so did I. I started a software company and became one of the few experts in software development in Adelaide – getting gigs to write software for government departments, big corporations, etc., and I was still not even 20 years old. My passion for technology was matched with a business passion, which started well before I discovered technology. I guess business was in my DNA. In 1989, I moved to the United States, settling in Los Angeles. I realized that the ability to migrate from one place to another was a life-changing experience. It taught me to embrace everything I found within my grasp, learning about business in the USA, I got involved in the music industry, and I was able to leverage my computer programming experience to land work in some early startups – one of which became Amgen, the world’s largest biotechnology corporation. Although I spent much of the next 30 years living in the USA, I never lost touch with my home of Australia, and in the late 1990s moved back there for many years before returning to the USA. In 2002 I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and I’ve lived here since. I am a self-made business owner. I don’t have a job. I do have clients and I do work on software projects and data centers, etc. today. It is because this is what I love to do. It isn’t because this is my career. I’ve never embraced that concept. I think if you are blessed to find your calling early in life and you can turn that into an income earner, you will embrace that far more than a defined “career” that people have to convince themselves that they love to do. I got lucky in that regard. But it was more that at a young age I was passionate to learn things. I still am. I just can’t learn them in a classroom, or a lecture hall, or books. I have to go out and see things with my own eyes and touch things with my own hands. It is just the way I operate. Today I run a technology organization, and thanks to my wife and her focus on investments in th...
