Show notes
Welcome to the Shawn Bolz Show where we look at current events, the entertainment world, and what is happening around the globe from a Christian discerning perspective that hopefully inspires you to keep looking for what God is doing in the midst of what is going wrong.
In this episode, we explore the miraculous event that occurred during the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania. The whole world witnessed what many are calling divine intervention, as God protected Trump against all odds. What does this mean for future elections and the state of our country? We discuss whether polarization has intensified, with some on the left dismissing the event as a staged show by Trump's team or even publicly wishing for his demise. Alternatively, is there a chance for unity and a renewed sense of camaraderie among Americans on opposing sides of the political spectrum?
We also examine the current economic landscape. Conservative economists, commentators, and some news outlets are challenging President Biden's budget and inflation reports, which claim the economy is the strongest it has ever been. Meanwhile, voices like Dr. Phil and Mike Rowe argue that the traditional American Dream—the one our grandparents fought world wars over—is dead. Yet, they also offer a message of hope and resilience.
Additionally, I share a deeply personal prophetic word that I waited 15 years to see fulfilled. Waiting on God for something that feels like a greater purpose can be incredibly challenging. In our Prophetic Perspective segment, we provide guidance on what not to do while waiting on God, offering insights and encouragement for those in similar situations.
Finally, we bring you the news you need to know! Joined by some of my team, we'll discuss stories that will shock you and emphasize the importance of keeping our discernment high in these times.
