048: Scripture Memory Moments in Church History (Part 5) Jan 05, 2024
    Show notes

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ approached the early 21st Century with much promise. Technological advancements brought the Bible and study resources of every type to our fingertips. Yet believers, especially those in the Western world, squandered these great benefits. Participation in the visible church declined significantly. Mainstream denominations, once bastions of biblical conservatism, compromised sound doctrine for worldly acceptance. Christians stopped pouring over the pages of Holy Scripture. Biblical illiteracy reached an all-time high, with the result that few who professed Christianity knew the tenets of the faith they espoused. How did it happen, and how could this catastrophe have been prevented? Our hosts will address this issue in another informative episode of The Scripture Memory Podcast.

Want to start memorizing, recharge your present efforts, and encourage another to memorize? Try SMF's book Remember the Words. Click here to get your copy today.
