In this episode we discuss such games as: Hades, The Last of Us 2, Final Fantasy XIV, Halo, Pokemon, Doome Eternal, Animal Crossing.
We also dive into some of the big events in the gaming industry from the past couple of years such as the Fall of Blizzard, the horrible harrassment and crunch culture still endemic in video game companies, and we talk about Nintendo's latest news inconjunction with Steam's reveal of the Steam Deck.

Episode 95 - Bohemian Rhapsody Nov 07, 2018

For this episode, Jake and Danny finally exit their Halloween Horror Film Marathon 2018 to return to their original format of talking about what movies and shows they've been watching as well as reviewing recent releases.

Some of said movies/shows they have been watching include Bad Times at the El Royale, First Man, An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn, The Night Comes for Us, and The Free State of Jones.

Then Jake talks about the Netflix original series, The Haunting of Hill House, and his problem with waiting several episodes or hours before a movie/show/game/book eventually becomes good.

Then they briefly talk about Venom and Tom Hardy's ability to carry a film.

And finally they review Bohemian Rhapsody and dive into their thoughts about the portrayal of Freddie Mercury and Queen.

Episode 26 - Schlub Cast Prime - Test Episode Aug 12, 2017

This episode is a test to try out a format for a third show of the Schlub Cast, The Schlub Cast Prime, where an extended cast of schlubs gathers to talk (yell incoherently over each other) about random everythings and general nothings.

But mostly they'll just come together to argue about food.

The format is a work and progress and this test episode was mostly about figuring out sound quality and levels with a bunch of people around a bunch of microphones. Bear with us please.

Here's to hoping this works out and that we'll talk over each other less in future proper episodes.

Episode 25 - Video Game Talk: August 2017 "It's Only Game" Aug 03, 2017

For the first half of August, Mike, Zack, and Danny gather to rehash some Nintendo news involving their multiplayer app, Switch sales, and the very possible N64 Classic.

Then they talk about the games they've been playing, such as Splatoon 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

For the main bulk of the episode, the guys cover two discussion topics:
How they deal with salt and toxicity in gaming, and what positive/negative trends they have noticed around games in general.

There was a lengthy discussion about E3 hype cycles that had to be cut due to file size (still trying to figure out how to reasonably get longer episodes online), hopefully that will appear at the end of a future episode.

Episode 24 - War for the Planet of the Apes Review "Schlubs Together Strong" Jul 19, 2017

Jake and Danny are back after some unfortunate scheduling problems. But this week they are joined by Zack from the video game corner of the Schlub Cast in their first ever crossover episode.

This week the guys talk about movies they've seen such as Raw, Pan's Labyrinth, Children of Men, as well as the new short films from Niell Blomkamp's Oats Studios.

They cover some brief news such as the announced subject matter for Tarantino's new film, and other related topics.

Then they finally jump into their long-anticipated review for Matt Reeve's War for the Planet of the Apes, the explosive finale to the rebooted Planet of the Apes trilogy.

Also, in the aftershow the guys act the fool and talk about Danny's dislike for Dane DeHaan and their thoughts on meeting famous people in real life.

Zack returns with Mike and Danny to their bimonthly video game talk.

This episode the guys talk about Nintendo's announcement of the upcoming SNES Classic as well as Zack's brief thoughts on this year's E3.

Additionally, they bring up the terrific event that was SGDQ 2017 and how entertaining speedrunning marathons really are.

Then they talk about some games they've been playing such as:

Jake and Danny decided to spend their off-week of this summer's film review onslaught by bringing some thought-provoking conversations to the podcast table.

A third-way into the episode, JP shows up and destroys any semblance of a stable podcast, and then shows the world how elitist he can be.
Danny is incredibly sorry for any headphones listeners.
