Steve also gets the scoop on a run-in between Ricky Rudd and Joe Ruttman, while Rick doesn't exactly speed on his way to his first press conference as a Winston Cup Scene staff writer … he qualifies.

Co-host Steve Waid joins the fun, and winds up not only using the word "zippadee-do-dah," but also compares Wallace to The Beatles. In the Issue of the Week segment, Rick and Steve go all the way back to 1981 for a look at Dale Inman's decision to leave Petty Enterprises and Darrell Waltrip's first victory with car owner Junior Johnson.

    NASCAR Hall of Famer Ned Jarrett concludes his three-part interview with memories of interviewing President Ronald Reagan and his call at the end of the 1993 Daytona 500, won by his own son, Dale. Co-host Steve Waid remembers the Reagan interview, and a near-international incident involving his good friend Tom Higgins and driver Ken Ragan. After determining where Jarrett's call of his son's first Daytona 500 win ranks in NASCAR broadcasting lore, Rick and Steve turn their attention to a 1994 incident at Richmond involving Jeff Burton and a similar situation that took place several years later during a Busch Series race at Kentucky.

Co-host Steve Waid again joins the fun to discuss those incidents, as well as NASCAR's early history at Indianapolis and Richard Childress' driving career.
