A Mississippi grand jury declined to charge anyone in the death of 18-year-old Nolan Wells. He went on a Fourth of July boat trip with friends and did not come back. After hearing from 43 witnesses and reviewing phones, GPS, video, and two autopsies, the panel said the circumstances were consistent with drowning. No criminal conduct. No racial motive.
That is not the story a lot of coverage sold in July. Too many voices treated the racial makeup of the group as the first fact and the evidence as optional.

Fox News just stood with CNN.
Trump banned CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House. Then the entire TV pool — Fox included — shut off coverage instead of replacing CNN’s crew.
Tonight on The Ryan Samuels Show: what actually happened, why Fox’s bureau chief pulled the plug, and whether this is a First Amendment fight or the old networks closing ranks.
President Trump barred three outlets Friday, calling their coverage fake news. Saturday their reporters were turned away and credentials pulled. Monday was CNN’s day to run the White House TV pool. The White House said no. Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN refused to send a replacement. No network camera is traveling with the president to the UN. Print and photos are still there. The White House can still run its own feed.
CNN, MS NOW, and Politico sued today in D.C. federal court. Trump says this isn’t an attack on the free press — it’s an attack on fake news.

Josh Thomas is Vice President and Treasurer of the Fathers’ Rights Movement. He is a father and construction professional who walked into family court in 2021 and never walked back out of the fight. Since then he has put his time into TFRM’s core demand: a child’s right to both parents whenever it is safe, and a court system that actually treats that as the starting point instead of the exception.
Tonight we get into what the movement is doing now — 50/50 shared parenting as the rebuttable presumption, court accountability, the gap between what judges say and what they order, and how fathers (and the mothers who support them) organize when the system is built to grind them down.

Michael Desronvil: The Holdout Juror Who Forced the Lindsay Clancy Mistrial Sep 17, 2026

Eleven jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial were ready to find her not guilty by reason of insanity in the deaths of her three children. One man was not.

His name is Michael Desronvil. Other jurors went on TV and called him arrogant. They said he admitted reasonable doubt and still refused the verdict. Desronvil has now spoken and says that is false — that he believed she was criminally responsible from day one.

The judge then sealed the official juror list indefinitely after threats, filming outside court, and personal details dumped online. A fundraiser followed. His family says the attention wrecked their lives.

Trump’s Judge Blocks Trump’s Mail-Ballot Rule | Who Runs the Election? Sep 14, 2026

Last night at 11:53 p.m., U.S. District Judge Carl J. Nichols signed a 24-page memorandum opinion in DSCC v. Trump. He granted a preliminary injunction blocking the Postal Service’s final rule, “Ballot Mail for Federal Elections.”
That rule grew out of Executive Order 14399. It required USPS-approved envelopes and a new Federal Ballot Mail Portal. States would upload mail-voter data. Ballots would go only to people on a State-specific Mail-in and Absentee Participant List. No portal entry, no delivery.
In May, the same judge refused to block the executive order because no final rule existed yet. After USPS published the rule in late August, the plaintiffs came back. Nichols granted the freeze.
His holding is narrow and statutory. The government conceded USPS can issue the rule only if Congress authorized it. Nichols found no statute that lets the Postal Service impose election procedures on states, stand up a voter data system, or refuse otherwise lawful ballot mail. The Postal Reorganization Act covers moving the mail. It does not cover running a national absentee gate. He rejected the comparison to rules for cremated remains and replica explosives.
He also found the timing too late. Early ballots are already in the pipeline. The record, he wrote, shows the rule would make mail voting harder and raise the risk that lawful absentee ballots never get counted. The administration did not put in evidence of significant fraud that would justify the disruption.
This is not a final trial verdict. It is a preliminary injunction. A separate Boston injunction is already at the Supreme Court. Until a higher court says otherwise, November mail ballots run under existing state rules — not the new postal portal.
