The Rob Bartlett Radio Comedy Hour

Rob Bartlett, star of stage and screen, best known from his years as a writer of genius comic characters on the Imus in the Morning program, is back with The Rob Bartlett Radio Comedy Hour, every Saturday Night at 10 PM on 77WABC… and then, immediately afterward, available as a podcast on the OG Podcast Network. A unique hybrid of Classic Radio Comedy Shows, Late-Night Talk Shows and Saturday Night Live. In fact, Andrew Smith, former Head Writer of SNL, is on board with Rob, writing and performing the sketches together, along with The Robio Radio Players, a talented group of young comedic actors. Rob’s new show is a scripted hour of comedy, featuring serialized sketch segments and original comedy characters. Each week, Rob will also feature a Special Guest, a visit from Rob’s Show Business Friends: Celebrities from the worlds of Film, TV, Comedy and Music, like Steve Schirripa, Tony Danzay, Judy Gold, Anthony Cumia, Lyle Lovett & Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick.

    S2 E6- SUMMER SONGS PT. 2 Jun 19, 2019
    Show notes

Join the Robio, once again, for another nostalgic trip to the Summer Songs of Yesteryear...not just songs with the word 'Summer' in them, (Although there are a couple of those) but Songs of the Summer...the ones that evoke memories of a simpler, kinder, gentler, more innocent time...you know, like that summer when Uncle Teddy took you camping and got in your sleeping bag with you...

    S2 E5 - SUMMER SONGS Jun 17, 2019
    Show notes

Join the Robio for the first installment of 'The Songs of Summer', a celebration of those catchy ditties upon which we foist our childhood memories...forever linking our Grandmother's death with 'Billy Don't Be a Hero'. In this episode, we cover 1958-1966.

    S2 E4 - ELEMENTARY WATCHALONG 2 Jun 14, 2019
    Show notes

Get your DVRed Episode ready (Or stream it off CBS.com) and watch the 2nd Appearance of The Robio as Captain Dwyer on 'Elementary' right along with him as he provides simultaneous observation and commentary. It's just like you're in his living room. We hope you brought snacks.

    S 2 E 3 - THAT THING YOU DO Jun 13, 2019
    Show notes

A True Romantic Rock n' Roll Comedy, 'That Thing You Do' gets a full on appreciation. Trivia, Clips, Observation and Comment on one of the great movies that you can watch over and over and NEVER get sick of the song upon which the whole thing hangs.

Because it's one of the main characters in the film.

    S 2- E 2 - THE TONYS Jun 11, 2019
    Show notes

Join The Robio with a Tony Awards De-Briefing, from his unique, somewhat satirical and sarcastic perspective as an actor on The Broad-Way, featuring clips from some of his Broadway Performances in 'How to Succeed in Business' with Daniel Radcliffe...as well as clips from last week's 'Elementary', prior to this Friday's 'Watchalong' of this episode. PLUS, if you stick around to the very end of the Podcast, (and why aren't you already?) a special Extra Clip, from his personal archives, recorded Live on Stage in front of an actual Broad-Way audience.

    S2 E1 -THE ELEMENTARY WATCHALONG Jun 07, 2019
    Show notes

A special episode to kick off our 2nd Season, as you watch this week's episode of 'Elementary' along with Captain Dwyer himself, The Robio. Synchronize your DVR'ed episode (Or download from CBS All Access) and listen to the simultaneous commentary of this first of the five episode story arc, featuring your favorite Podcast Host's portrayal of a gruff, cranky Commanding Officer, who is sent to fill in at the 11th Precinct, while Captain Gregson (Aidan Quinn) is in the ICU...in pretty bad shape with two gunshot wounds to the back. Watch Captain Dwyer lock horns with Watson and Marcus...because, he doesn't need details, he's 'A 30,000 Foot Guy', although nobody seems to know what the hell that means.

    EPISODE 52 - FOOD TV Jun 06, 2019
    Show notes

Today's episode has The Robio weighing in (No pun intended) on a few of his favorite food themed programs, including guilty pleasures like 'MasterChef Junior', 'The Best Thing I Ever Ate' and 'Man Vs. Food'. and pounds 'Diners Drive Ins and Dives' host, Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri...like he was a veal chop.

    EPISODE 51-NATIONAL CHEESE DAY Jun 05, 2019
    Show notes

In today's episode, The Robio reads some emails from our many, fine, upstanding followers, answering questions about Bund Meetings, Fashion, The Douche Nozzle Jeopardy Champion, UFOs and 'The Strangest Thing He's Ever Eaten.' Then to celebrate National Cheese Day, your favorite podcast host provides an homage to the heavenly substance created by the coagulation of milk proteins and fat. With some help from Monty Python and the Rutles.

    EPISODE 50 - ON THE ROAD WITH THE I-MAN Jun 03, 2019
    Show notes

Another Road Warrior Story about the 1996 Remote Broadcasts from Las Vegas and Tucson, during Super Bowl Week. Almost everything in the story is true. Well...at least a certain respectable percentage.

    EPISODE 49 - 'ABLEISM' Jun 01, 2019
    Show notes

No, it's not about a disease where you begin to resemble Lincoln, it's offensive stereotypes about disability that reinforce discrimination in favor of able-bodied people, and the phonies who all condescend instead of just giving credit for talent and abilities without condition...like Julianne Hough from America's Got Talent. Puh-Lease. The Robio weighs in on AMAZING Singer Kodi Lee, Fastest Man on No Legs Oscar Pistorius, and all the Hollywood Actors who play disabled people because it's an AWARDS MAGNET...Forrest Gump, Rainman, the Good Doctor...and 'Simple Jack'. It's an amusing episode.

    Trust us.
