    Show notes

The crew kicks things off with the 100-inning softball game supporting the Burton family, where Rafe and Scott discover that 12 straight hours of softball is apparently something human beings willingly participate in. There were legitimate athletes, Chris Kerber brought the stories and good Blues energy, and Team Rizz did what Team Rizz does best: proudly represent athletic mediocrity while somebody else actually knows how to play the sport.

Moon, meanwhile, spent his weekend in Los Angeles with Goldfinger for their biggest headlining show ever at the Hollywood Palladium. Between the packed hometown show, backstage chaos and trying to juggle approximately every person he has ever met in Southern California, Moon also wanders into Amoeba Music and suddenly finds himself standing next to Matt Berry. His carefully prepared celebrity interaction consists basically of realizing, “Holy crap, that’s Matt Berry,” which honestly is probably better than anything the rest of us would've managed.

Delays pile up, passengers get increasingly irritated, everyone lines up to board…and the entire plane waits for one missing flight attendant. When she finally arrives, Moon witnesses a level of leisurely strolling that probably should’ve been studied by scientists. Hundreds of angry passengers? Connecting flights on the line? Whatever. She had a walking speed and she was committed to it.

Rizz heads the opposite direction for a father-son road trip to the University of Arkansas and finally experiences the roadside cathedral known as Buc-ee’s. Unfortunately, he discovers that Buc-ee’s contains one fatal flaw: other people. Lots and lots of other people. He battles the crowd, buys a Cuban sandwich that immediately disintegrates inside the car and ultimately reaches the devastating conclusion that Buc-ee’s is basically a bigger Wally’s. Somewhere, a beaver just felt a disturbance in the Force.

So yes, this episode has softball, Chesterfield sociology, Goldfinger, Matt Berry, airport rage, Buc-ee’s, college nostalgia and weather-induced emotional manipulation.

The Grand Theft Auto 6 rumor mill is firing on all cylinders. Alleged leaks suggest GTA 6 could make players actually refuel their cars, because apparently escaping the cops and committing fictional felonies wasn't immersive enough. Now we may get the authentic experience of realizing the tank is on E at the absolute worst possible moment.

Naturally, Jean-Claude Van Damme doing the splits leads Lern to ask questions about male anatomy that nobody was emotionally prepared to answer. Suddenly we're discussing whether men have a “seam,” whether God is responsible for said seam, and why absolutely none of this information was included in health class.

From there, Crap on Celebrities turns surprisingly philosophical when Dr. Dre and Billy Corgan land on opposite sides of the AI music debate.

This comedy podcast also gets into Bret Michaels recovering from kidney stone surgery while apparently refusing to surrender his hat under any circumstances, Kacey Musgraves performing while floating on giant disco-ball truck nuts, Dolly Parton exploring avatar performances, Bonnaroo taking a year off, and St. Louis artist Slater covering Hole’s “Violet.”

National Treasure 3 inches closer to becoming a real movie, and Hollywood is ready to cast King Scott in a major role.

A guy scales the St. Louis Zoo big-cat enclosure, an alleged staged fender bender turns into an armed robbery and multiple police chases, and then we attempt to save everybody’s relationships with the 777 Rule. Welcome to another comedy podcast where apparently the only thing separating civilization from complete chaos is a zoo fence and a shared Google Calendar.

We get into a Florissant case where suspects allegedly rear-ended a Volvo to force the driver to stop, only for the situation to turn into an armed robbery, a fight, a stolen vehicle and multiple police pursuits. Somewhere along the way, the unnamed Volvo driver becomes “Johnny Volvo,” the suspects become the “Jeep Boys,” and this comedy podcast briefly transforms into the least legally sound self-defense seminar ever broadcast.

That kicks off a surprisingly thoughtful debate about whether the 777 Rule is realistic, especially when listeners point out that dates, overnight stays and vacations cost money. The crew argues that the exact numbers and activities aren’t really the point. Take a walk. Go for a drive. Pack a picnic. Hit a park. Complain together. Whatever works.

Zoo Escapades, Robbery Shenanigans & the 777 Rule for Relationships Aug 24, 2026
    Show notes

A guy scales the St. Louis Zoo big-cat enclosure, an alleged staged fender bender turns into an armed robbery and multiple police chases, and then we attempt to save everybody’s relationships with the 777 Rule. Welcome to another comedy podcast where apparently the only thing separating civilization from complete chaos is a zoo fence and a shared Google Calendar.

We start locally at the St. Louis Zoo, where a man decided the normal pedestrian experience simply wasn’t immersive enough. Visitors spotted him climbing over a barrier and sitting on elevated artificial rockwork above the big-cat habitat. He never came into direct contact with the animals, nobody was hurt, and he eventually climbed back onto the pedestrian path before being detained. Naturally, the crew’s biggest takeaway is that the whole thing had enormous “I bet you won’t” energy. Also: please don’t be the person who makes the zoo build a gigantic fence because you couldn’t resist becoming part of the exhibit.

Then things get significantly less goofy with a warning about staged fender-bender robberies.

The conversation eventually lands on a much less felonious subject: the 777 Rule for relationships.

The idea is simple: every seven days, prioritize a date. Every seven weeks, spend a night away together. Every seven months, take a longer getaway. The point isn’t necessarily expensive dinners, luxury hotels or constantly disappearing to a tropical island like you’ve committed financial crimes. It’s intentionally making time for the person you’re with before work, kids, chores, schedules and general life nonsense turn you into two ships passing in the hallway.

The goal is to actually prioritize each other instead of realizing six months later that your most meaningful conversation recently was about who forgot to move the laundry.

Moon shares how getting away with his wife to review the previous year, plan family goals and figure out priorities has become genuinely valuable. Rizz talks about those brutally busy stretches where work, kids and household responsibilities can leave couples feeling like they barely see each other. Lern points out that sometimes “the funk” simply happens when you stop spending time together. And Rafe reminds everybody that relationships are something you actively build, which is dangerously reasonable territory for this show.

We also establish that the 777 Rule can become the 888 Rule, 555 Rule or whatever schedule actually fits your life. The number seven isn’t magical. The commitment is the important part.

And yes, somehow this eventually leads to Naked Tuesday, hotel-room romance, cheap date ideas and the suggestion that Illinois residents apparently settle relationship problems with sunsets near a levee. We cannot stress enough that this is technically a comedy podcast.

So enjoy Episode 6: zoo escapades, robbery shenanigans, relationship advice and another morning where the conversation travels approximately 900 miles without ever leaving the studio.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Leaks And Gymkata Dreams 18:59:12 Aug 24, 2026
    Show notes

The Grand Theft Auto 6 rumor mill is firing on all cylinders. Alleged leaks suggest GTA 6 could make players actually refuel their cars, because apparently escaping the cops and committing fictional felonies wasn't immersive enough. Now we may get the authentic experience of realizing the tank is on E at the absolute worst possible moment.

Would stolen cars come with random amounts of gas? Could you abandon one because the tank is empty? Would GTA Costco memberships get you cheaper fuel? These are the important questions being asked by this comedy podcast while the rest of society presumably does something productive.

Then we discover—or rediscover, depending on how damaged everyone's memory is—the 1985 cinematic achievement known as Gymkata.

The premise is magnificently stupid: take gymnastics, combine it with karate and create an unstoppable martial art. That's it. That's the movie. Olympic gymnast Kurt Thomas is sent on a dangerous mission where his greatest weapon is himself…and the conveniently placed gymnastics equipment that somehow keeps appearing whenever dozens of bad guys need to be kicked in the face.

Moon reveals that Gymkata has been living rent-free in his subconscious since childhood, including scenes that still randomly appear in his dreams. This launches the crew into an extremely important celebration of the ridiculous action and sports movies of the ’80s: Rad, No Retreat, No Surrender, Best of the Best, No Holds Barred, Bloodsport and the glorious era when movie executives could apparently greenlight anything as long as somebody knew karate.

    And then Steven Seagal arrives.

The crew finds audio of Seagal telling a story about being in Kazakhstan before stopping to ask, “How do you say in English…” despite being born in Lansing, Michigan. What follows is a forensic investigation into Steven Seagal's increasingly mysterious relationship with the English language, fake accents, international travel and whether spending enough time somewhere can legitimately change how you talk.

From there, Crap on Celebrities turns surprisingly philosophical when Dr. Dre and Billy Corgan land on opposite sides of the AI music debate. Dre sees artificial intelligence as another creative tool, while Corgan wants absolutely nothing to do with it. Moon breaks down how producers already use loops, samples and pre-built musical elements, leading to a bigger question: where exactly does using technology stop being a tool and start becoming “cheating”?

This comedy podcast also gets into Bret Michaels recovering from kidney stone surgery while apparently refusing to surrender his hat under any circumstances, Kacey Musgraves performing while floating on giant disco-ball truck nuts, Dolly Parton exploring avatar performances, Bonnaroo taking a year off, and St. Louis artist Slater covering Hole’s “Violet.”

Plus, the CW dumps Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, DC apparently decides Gorilla Grodd needs a true-crime mockumentary, National Treasure 3 inches closer to becoming a real movie, and Lern takes everyone on an unsolicited but surprisingly enjoyable Whitesnake journey.

Then we wrap things up with celebrity birthdays—including Dave Chappelle, Cal Ripken Jr., Steve Guttenberg and Vince McMahon—before heading toward relationship fun facts and the mysterious 7-7-7 rule.

It's GTA rumors, ’80s movie nostalgia, celebrity news, music industry arguments, St. Louis chaos and several conversations that should've ended three sentences earlier.

In other words: a comedy podcast.

Sunshine Guilt, Hollywood Palladium & Chesterfield Nines Aug 24, 2026
    Show notes

Everybody had a weekend, and unfortunately for all of us, they came back with stories.

Then Rafe takes us inside an entirely different competitive environment: Topgolf in Chesterfield.

He showed up in jeans, a T-shirt and cowboy boots while seemingly everyone else arrived looking like they had just finished a private lesson at Bellerive. The clubs are nicer. The outfits are tighter. The dads appear to work in numbers. And somewhere along the way, Rafe introduces the world to the “Chesterfield Nine,” which naturally sends the entire funny podcast into an extremely mature and thoughtful discussion about golf.

Just kidding. It immediately falls apart.

    Then comes the flight home.

At least the delays gave Moon time to catch up on movies, leading to reviews of Michael, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Tomb Raider. We also get Banana Ball confusion, because apparently baseball wasn't complicated enough and now fans can become part of the defense.

The Arkansas trip also gives Rizz a glimpse of the college experience he never had, complete with a massive campus, tens of thousands of students and enough Walton branding to remind everyone exactly where they are.

Then the show discovers “sunshine guilt” — that weird feeling that you're wasting your life because it's gorgeous outside and you dared to remain indoors. Finally, a funny podcast willing to defend your constitutional right to sit inside watching television while nature aggressively tries to shame you through the windows.

Moon gets it. Rizz refuses to be bullied by sunshine. Lern is basically medically prescribed to go outside. And somehow chopping wood in a cowboy hat enters the conversation.

So yes, this episode has softball, Chesterfield sociology, Goldfinger, Matt Berry, airport rage, Buc-ee’s, college nostalgia and weather-induced emotional manipulation.

Basically a normal Monday around here.

If you're looking for a funny podcast packed with St. Louis stories, sarcastic humor, pop culture commentary, travel disasters and grown adults turning completely ordinary situations into unnecessary investigations, congratulations. You have unfortunately found us.

DAILY PODCAST: Hey It's The Clown Of Death At The Door | The Rizzuto Comedy Show Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

Apparently one Friday show wasn’t chaotic enough, so this episode brings together sports-radio confusion, Banana Ball insanity, celebrity disasters, '90s music nostalgia, Taylor Swift fandom, and an emotional goodbye that briefly forces The Rizzuto Show to experience genuine human feelings. Gross.

The crew is coming off its takeover of The Fast Lane, where St. Louis sports-radio listeners turned on their radios expecting serious sports analysis and instead found… us. Confused texts start rolling in, Moon commits the apparently unforgivable crime of discussing soccer, and everyone discovers that sports-talk fans approach radio hosts with roughly the same restraint they bring to yelling at referees.

From there, we head to Busch Stadium for the Savannah Bananas and the wonderfully ridiculous world of Banana Ball. No bunting. Batters can steal first. Ball four turns into a sprint. Fans can record an out by catching a foul ball. There’s a Golden Batter. There are bizarre tiebreakers. Basically, somebody looked at baseball and asked, “What if this moved faster and people actually had fun?”

That naturally sends us down the Steve Bartman rabbit hole, where we discover the infamous baseball was eventually purchased, publicly blown up and—because humanity had apparently not done enough—its essence was incorporated into pasta sauce. Sports fans remain completely normal.

We also get into Rizz’s upcoming first trip to Buc-ee’s, the Gathering of the Juggalos, a drug bust involving a man with the incredibly discreet nickname Blunt Man, speeding, road rage and those tiny towns where the speed limit suddenly drops just in time for a police officer to welcome you personally.

    Then nostalgia attacks.

A forgotten Rollins Band song sends Rizz straight back to the '90s, MTV and Beavis and Butt-Head, leading to an appreciation of Henry Rollins as perhaps the only man capable of delivering inspirational wisdom while looking permanently furious about it. Rafe even discovers the perfect soundtrack for the closet he apparently cries in.

Once Crap on Celebrities gets rolling, things become significantly more expensive and legally complicated. Foo Fighters are joining AC/DC for a huge St. Louis show, which is incredible news right up until everyone remembers they’ll eventually have to escape the parking lot. The crew also digs into the Michael Jackson biopic sequel, developments surrounding the Tupac murder case and reported Diddy allegations, questions surrounding changes to Biggie’s mother’s will, and Dane Cook revisiting the brutal discovery that his own brother embezzled millions from him.

Nothing says family like alleged financial crimes.

There’s also God of War casting drama involving Dave Bautista, a public service announcement about a movie Moon thinks is absolute garbage, and a rundown of famous actors who reportedly couldn’t stand each other while filming some of Hollywood’s most beloved romances. Turns out all that incredible on-screen chemistry might occasionally just be two attractive people professionally suppressing rage.

And then Courtney Diamond — aka Eight Ball — comes home.

The former Rizzuto Show intern joins the crew ahead of the final TaylorMade tribute to Taylor Swift show, closing a chapter that grew into 45 performances across 28 cities. Courtney talks about knowing when it was time to end TaylorMade, remembering the nerves surrounding the first show and making sure the project went out while everyone involved still loved what they were doing.

Things get dangerously sincere when Courtney reflects on her time working with the show and tells Rizz that one of the lessons she carried with her was watching him treat people well and thank her for her work every day as an intern.

Don’t worry. Everyone immediately starts making jokes before Rizz can develop an emotion.

Courtney also explains how a die-hard Def Leppard and '80s hair-metal fan became a massive Taylor Swift fan, why Swift’s songwriting won her over and where even a dedicated Swiftie draws the line when it comes to merch drops, album variants and the Taylor Swift business machine.

Then we enter the terrifying world of parasocial fandom.

The crew debates fans driving 12 hours just to stand outside a celebrity wedding, Courtney admits to incorporating some Def Leppard sightseeing into her honeymoon, and even one of the biggest Swifties we know arrives at an important conclusion:

    Some Swifties need to chill.

Finally, Courtney looks ahead to the emotional final TaylorMade performance and talks about what it feels like to deliberately close something she’s spent years building. She doesn’t know exactly what comes next—and for once, nobody needs to turn that into a five-year plan.

It’s sports, weird news, celebrity gossip, music memories, St. Louis chaos, Taylor Swift, Juggalos, Banana Ball, family betrayals, emotional farewells and enough wildly unnecessary side conversations to remind everyone why The Rizzuto Show remains your daily comedy destination.

Basically, we laughed, we learned, we almost had feelings, and somewhere along the way Blunt Man got arrested.

    Another productive day.

Taylor-Made Farewells, Emotional Goodbyes & A Little Bit of Rizz Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

We’re getting dangerously sincere on today’s funny podcast, because former Rizzuto Show intern Courtney Diamond — better known around these parts as Eight Ball — is back in the studio before closing one enormous chapter of her life.

Courtney’s TaylorMade tribute to Taylor Swift is performing its final show at Delmar Hall, ending a run that grew far beyond where it started. Over the course of TaylorMade, Courtney and the band performed 45 shows across 28 cities, taking the production from its first nervous night at The Wildey Theatre to venues and audiences around the country.

Courtney explains that there wasn’t one giant dramatic reason. Sometimes you just know when it’s time. More importantly, she wanted TaylorMade to end while everyone involved still loved doing it. Apparently “leave while you still enjoy each other” is an option. Somebody should tell every band that has announced a fourth farewell tour.

She remembers the pressure surrounding TaylorMade’s first performance and the moment she heard the crowd erupt before she even walked onstage. What started with nerves turned into something much bigger, especially for the young Taylor Swift fans who came dressed for the occasion—and the dads sitting off to the side pretending they absolutely weren’t getting into it.

Naturally, Rizz and Rafe immediately improve Courtney’s carefully planned final show by pitching an ending involving Rafe dressed as Travis Kelce carrying her offstage.

Things then get suspiciously heartfelt when Rizz asks Courtney how working at The Rizzuto Show affected her life. She credits her time in radio with making her tougher and talks about learning from Moon, Jeff and Lern before revealing something that nearly destroys the entire sarcastic ecosystem of the program: Rizz taught her something genuinely meaningful.

Courtney remembers Rizz thanking her for her work at the end of the day when she was an intern and says the experience taught her that no matter how successful you become, you should still treat people well.

Everybody quickly makes jokes before Rizz experiences a recognizable human emotion.

    Thank God.

Then we get into the contradiction that makes Courtney’s Taylor Swift obsession even better: she’s a die-hard '80s hair-metal fan with a Def Leppard tattoo who generally doesn’t care for modern pop music.

Courtney explains why Swift’s songwriting broke through her rock-and-roll defenses, particularly the storytelling and honesty in her lyrics. That inevitably launches the crew into another debate surrounding the business empire attached to Taylor Swift.

Variants. Exclusives. Merch drops. Swifties monitoring website changes like NORAD watching the sky.

Courtney understands the criticism surrounding the relentless merchandising while also making a fairly important point: nobody is physically forcing you to buy the fifteenth version of an album. Being a Swiftie apparently requires both emotional stamina and a functioning household budget.

The funny podcast then dives headfirst into parasocial fandom following the massive attention surrounding Taylor Swift’s wedding. Courtney gives her perspective as an actual hardcore fan, including her surprise over aspects of the guest list and the sheer spectacle surrounding the event.

Rizz, meanwhile, remains fascinated by fans who drove enormous distances just to stand outside.

One mother drove 12 hours from Indianapolis with her daughter to be near the celebration despite having no actual access to the wedding. In extreme heat. After getting the kid out of bed at 2:00 in the morning.

    Rizz has some thoughts.

Courtney admits she understands a little bit of celebrity tourism. Her own honeymoon included visiting Def Leppard-related locations around Sheffield and convincing her extremely patient husband to drive around a village on the off chance they happened to spot bassist Rick Savage.

Finally, the conversation returns to the reason Courtney is there—the final TaylorMade show. She explains why knowing the ending was coming gave her time to appreciate the last year, how bittersweet the final performance feels, and why she’s both excited and devastated to say goodbye.

It’s an episode about knowing when to close a chapter, appreciating what you built, fandom getting completely out of control and discovering that underneath all the sarcasm, The Rizzuto Show might actually care about each other.

    Disgusting.

Just the kind of emotional damage you expect from your favorite funny podcast.

Shoutouts, Song Memories & Celebrity Chaos: A Friday Rundown Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

It’s Friday on The Rizzuto Show, which means this comedy podcast is landing the plane with music nostalgia, celebrity chaos and enough questionable information to ruin several perfectly good movies.

First, Rizz gets ambushed by his own shuffle when a Rollins Band song he hadn’t heard in roughly 25 years suddenly comes back from the dead. That launches the crew into Henry Rollins memories, MTV, Beavis and Butt-Head, Black Flag, Lollapalooza and the fascinating contradiction that is Henry Rollins: an inspirational motivational speaker who always looks like he’s about three seconds away from yelling at a parking meter.

Some of the crew remembers the song. Some absolutely do not. Rizz insists everybody needs to listen to it. Rafe now apparently has new music for the closet he cries in. Great start.

Then it’s time for Crap on Celebrities, where Foo Fighters joining AC/DC in St. Louis continues to be enormous news. Dave Grohl explains just how much AC/DC influenced him, while everyone tries to figure out what happened to The Pretty Reckless and whether the lineup change was designed to give ticket sales another shot of adrenaline.

Either way, September 8 is shaping up to be massive.

Unfortunately, so is the parking nightmare.

From there, celebrity news takes the wheel and immediately drives directly into a ditch. The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic sequel is expected to tackle the controversial later years of his life. The ongoing Tupac Shakur murder case raises new questions about alleged connections to Sean “Diddy” Combs. Then Biggie’s family enters an estate fight after changes were reportedly made to his mother’s will shortly before her death.

Nothing brings a family together quite like hundreds of millions of dollars.

We also get new music releases, Dr. Phil lawsuit news and one of the uglier family betrayals in comedy history. Dane Cook’s documentary revisits his rise to superstardom and the revelation that his own brother, who handled his finances, embezzled roughly $12 million.

Imagine becoming one of the biggest comedians in America and still discovering the most expensive heckler was sitting at Thanksgiving dinner.

The entertainment rundown keeps rolling as Yellowjackets heads toward its final season and Dave Bautista takes over as Kratos in Amazon’s God of War. The original actor had already gotten himself ridiculously ripped for the role before suffering a torn bicep and losing the job, which is one of those stories that makes your bad week seem slightly more manageable.

Then Moon performs an important public service by warning everybody away from a movie he describes, with tremendous critical nuance, as a total piece of crap.

    You’re welcome, America.

And because apparently we haven’t damaged enough childhood memories, Lern brings in a list of famous movie and TV couples who reportedly hated each other while working together. Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey had issues before Dirty Dancing. Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn clashed on Four Christmases. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams reportedly needed a screaming match while making The Notebook before eventually dating in real life. Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte? Apparently not exchanging Christmas cards.

Claire Danes wasn’t thrilled with Leonardo DiCaprio’s behavior on Romeo + Juliet, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny went through rough stretches on The X-Files, and Sarah Silverman had her own memorable confrontation with Michael Richards on Seinfeld.

    Romance is alive, everybody.

We finish with celebrity birthdays before the Friday tradition manages to make things uncomfortable one last time, because this comedy podcast refuses to simply arrive at the weekend like a normal program.

It’s forgotten music, rock news, celebrity gossip, Hollywood feuds, ridiculous show-business money, St. Louis entertainment and enough sarcastic humor to make HR quietly close the browser tab. In other words, another perfectly normal episode of your favorite comedy podcast.

We Took Over Sports Radio… Their Fans Were NOT Ready Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the funny show where every perfectly reasonable conversation eventually gets dragged into an alley and beaten senseless by five people with microphones.

We’re coming off our takeover of The Fast Lane, and apparently not everyone received the memo. The ESPN audience showed up expecting sports talk and instead got us, leading to confused texts, angry sports fans and the crew slowly realizing that sports-radio listeners chirp hosts the same way they chirp players from the stands. Honestly, we respect the commitment. Moon even dared to discuss soccer in St. Louis, which naturally went over calmly and rationally with everyone.

    Obviously.

With that historic broadcasting achievement behind us, we immediately announce record ratings, retire undefeated and turn our attention to the Savannah Bananas coming to Busch Stadium.

And this is where baseball gets weird.

We break down Banana Ball rules, including no bunting, batters potentially stealing first, sprinting after ball four, the Golden Batter, bizarre tiebreakers and the glorious rule where a fan catching a foul ball can actually record an out. Finally, buying a glove as a grown adult has consequences beyond your friends making fun of you.

That sends us directly into Steve Bartman history, because why stay on topic? We revisit the infamous Cubs foul ball, discover what eventually happened to the baseball and learn that people detonated the thing before incorporating its essence into pasta sauce.

    Sports are healthy.

Then there’s Skate Laborious. Three years after the fire, organizers are fighting to preserve the remaining church structure and transform it into an open-air skate park. Naturally, our contribution to the discussion is deciding this sounds like an '80s movie where a group of lovable misfits has to save the rec center from The Man.

    Cue the rollerblades.

That somehow leads to Rad, Gleaming the Cube, BMX dancing, Lori Loughlin, Christian Slater and the realization that the '80s could turn literally any recreational activity into a feature film.

Rizz is also heading toward Arkansas and preparing for another major milestone: his first trip to Buc-ee’s. This launches the important Buc-ee’s vs. Wally’s debate, recommendations involving Beaver Nuggets and brisket, and a surprisingly heated discussion about whether you can leave your vehicle sitting at a gas pump while wandering around a convenience store the size of Rhode Island.

Meanwhile, the Gathering of the Juggalos is happening in Missouri, which brings us one of the least surprising headlines in human history: a massive drug bust involving a gentleman known as Blunt Man.

    Yes. Blunt Man.

A man allegedly associated with a “One Stop Shop” supplying the festival had even received a promotional shout-out from Violent J. Somehow subtlety did not prevail. The ensuing discussion includes an enormous list of seized drugs, plans for a possible Rizz Show expedition to the Gathering and the very sensible conclusion that nobody should attempt this without a qualified Juggalo Sherpa.

From there, this funny show tackles another subject where everyone believes they’re correct: speeding.

How far over the limit is acceptable? Is ten over basically the unofficial speed limit? Why do tiny towns suddenly drop from highway speeds to 35 mph directly in front of what appears to be their entire police department? Lern admits that aggressive drivers can activate her own personal highway-vigilante mode, while everyone shares speeding-ticket stories and their individual theories about what cops will actually tolerate.

It’s sports, St. Louis stories, weird news, nostalgia, road rage and several conversations that should have ended much sooner than they did. In other words, exactly what you came for from a funny show that continues proving nobody should give us this much microphone time.

DAILY PODCAST: We Are Just Stuffed Animals In Your Room | The Rizzuto Comedy Show Aug 20, 2026
    Show notes

The morning begins with Lern trying to figure out whether Hubbard Media has a sewage problem or whether she personally needs to reevaluate some life choices. Thankfully, the mystery quickly leads us to Florida, where somebody learns one of nature’s most important rules the hard way: do not jump on a manatee. Especially when you haven’t taken the time to determine whether said manatee is, you know… alive.

Rizz remembers the beautiful bonding experience of having baby vomit deposited directly into his mouth. Moon recalls an athletic encounter with an impressive amount of dog poop. And then Rafe casually unlocks a repressed memory from his days working in surgery that probably should’ve stayed repressed. There’s gangrene. There’s a sterile operating room. There’s vomiting. There’s mint extract that arrives WAY too late. At one point, breakfast officially files for divorce.

Eventually, Rizz attempts to drag this funny podcast out of the biological danger zone by choosing joy. Unfortunately, he’s Rizz, so even his daughter thanking him for making dinner turns into an existential crisis involving garlic, dementia, stuffed animals, retirement in Florida, and an imaginary future son-in-law handling his estate. Normal father-daughter stuff.

Then we actually get GOOD NEWS. St. Charles runner Emma Kessler thought she’d be tackling a half marathon without her boyfriend Jason, who repeatedly insisted running wasn’t his thing. Turns out Jason had secretly trained for months so he could surprise her and run alongside her. It’s sweet. It’s supportive. Nobody gets covered in anything. Naturally, Rizz’s immediate concern is that this man is making every other partner look terrible.

Apparently Gen X isn’t going to enough concerts, so today we’re solving the live music industry one folding chair and bottle of ibuprofen at a time.

A concert promoter asking what it would take to get Gen X back out to shows. The answers? Bring back physical tickets. Give us cleaner bathrooms. Stop making everything cost approximately one kidney. Fine bands for showing up late. And while we’re making demands, how about concerts that start at 3 p.m. and wrap by 6 so everybody can be home, showered and questioning their life choices before the evening news?

The crew gets into the bigger problem facing live music right now, from third-party ticket sellers and ridiculous resale prices to mid-level artists trying to survive while fans blow their entire entertainment budget on one or two giant shows.

Foo Fighters are stepping in to open for AC/DC in St. Louis, which leads to the very important question of how long the Foo Fighters actually get to play when they’re technically the opener. There’s also an update on Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell and his continued battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The Jack White and Charley Crockett drama continues after Twin Temple was removed from dates on Crockett’s tour. Jack White defended the band, Crockett fired back, White responded with a bizarre musical troll, and suddenly everybody is keeping track of who released more albums. Rafe likes Crockett’s music but would also like everyone involved to calm down and simply make songs again.

Then Demon Hunter enters the chat. The Christian metal band is suing over the KPop Demon Hunters name, arguing that the massive Netflix property and its live-event expansion could create confusion with their long-established band. King Scott once saw the band demon hunter perform KPOP.

The Missouri State Fair has given us many things over the years, and today we can add freeze-dried pickles capable of removing every drop of moisture from the human body to the list.

Then we return to one of the most important educational developments of our generation: Fart Corner.

The teacher whose classroom fart corner went viral has responded to all the attention and clarified her intentions. Apparently, kids today have significantly less shame about letting one rip in class, so she created a designated location where students can handle their business and return to society. Fart Corner is now also The Gas Station.

Then it’s time for King Scott to host Matchup With Moon, and whatever intellectual credibility remained in the studio immediately leaves through the emergency exit.

Rizz and Moon battle through trivia involving the longest-running television game show, Walter Mondale, the PGA Hall of Fame, malware and the Rice Krispies mascots before King Scott drops the Millard Fillmore tiebreaker.

Round two somehow gets worse. The guys tackle the undefeated Miami Dolphins, continents, Louis Armstrong, bowling terminology and the origin of Spam. “Spiced ham” should have been easy, but instead we get guesses including separated ham, spectacular meats, special mail and surplus meat.

Then comes the Great Bowling Debate of 2023.

Freeze-Dried Pickles, Fart Corners & MatchUp With Moon Falls Apart Aug 20, 2026
    Show notes

The Missouri State Fair has given us many things over the years, and today we can add freeze-dried pickles capable of removing every drop of moisture from the human body to the list.

Episode 233 begins with Rizz bringing in freeze-dried pickles his wife picked up at the Missouri State Fair. The crew loves pickles. The crew loves snacks. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, they look like packing peanuts, dissolve in your mouth and contain enough salt to make you feel like you’ve swallowed ocean water. Moon immediately wants another one. Rafe loves them. Scott practically needs to leave the room. And Rizz, the man who brought this sodium-based building material into work, wants absolutely nothing to do with them.

Welcome to daily comedy at The Rizzuto Show, where even eating a pickle requires a postgame analysis.

    There’s even been a rebrand.

Fart Corner is now also The Gas Station.

Surely that’ll make middle schoolers take it seriously.

This sends the crew into a completely unnecessary but surprisingly passionate discussion about whether fart shame is actually an important part of childhood development. Rizz thinks a little shame has value. Rafe wonders whether forcing someone to physically walk across the classroom to Fart Corner actually creates MORE shame. Lern points out that kids already smell bad enough. And Moon is forced to revisit the childhood classroom fart that has apparently been living rent-free in his brain for decades.

Moon remembers the room. He remembers the chairs. He remembers the embarrassment. He remembers EVERYTHING.

Some people remember their first kiss. Moon remembers the acoustics of a plastic chair.

Then it’s time for Matchup With Moon, and whatever intellectual credibility remained in the studio immediately leaves through the emergency exit.

Rizz and Moon battle through trivia involving the longest-running television game show, Walter Mondale, the PGA Hall of Fame, malware and the Rice Krispies mascots before King Scott drops the Millard Fillmore tiebreaker.

Moon confidently announces that Fillmore came after Lincoln… and then lands on 1949.

Millard Fillmore actually became president in 1850.

Only missed it by a century. That’s within radio-show margin of error.

Moon answers that a bowling “mark” means a spare. The actual definition includes a strike or a spare. Is Moon correct? Is he partially correct? Does the word “or” save him? Should Rizz win? Should nobody win? Why are grown adults litigating bowling vocabulary like there’s prize money on the line?

Suddenly Lern is arguing semantics, Rafe is researching bowling terminology, listeners are taking sides and the studio has become a deeply stupid courtroom.

This is daily comedy exactly as nature intended: freeze-dried food experiments, weird news, childhood humiliation, terrible trivia, St. Louis radio chaos and grown adults taking an argument about bowling significantly more seriously than necessary.

By the end, Moon admits his answer may have been incomplete, Rizz immediately declares victory, and “no backsies” becomes the final legal precedent.

    Another successful morning.

    Another friendship barely surviving.
