The Reds at the halfway mark are sitting at 39-45, and 11 games out of first place in the NL Central, 4,5 Games out of the final NL Wildcard Spot. Have the Reds done enough this far in the season to feel good about the teams chances after the all-star break?

Tim and Ben will dive into this discussion as well as give their thoughts on the returning Noelvi Marte, Has Jonathan India earned a spot as an all-star, or a potential Reds trade candidate, and more.

Nate was joined by Jack Jokinen, cohost of George's Box - a Yankees podcast - and author of the children's book Stray Dog for Christmas, a true story about a stray dog that finds a home just in time for the holidays. Jack's viral story about Suzy, the stray that wondered into their home and lives is too good to be true and a dose of positivity and goodness we can all use a little more of in our lives. The on-field play has been pretty brutal of late, so the gang tried their best to have some fun amidst the gloom. Nate and Chad were joined by Joel Luckhaupt, statistician for the Reds TV broadcast as well as Seth Shaner of the Redleg Roundtable Podcast to give optimism the old college try - We're not sure they succeeded.

Late Night Reds: Recap an embarrassing weekend series vs the Red Sox Jun 24, 2024

The Reds Had Saturday's game won and blew it then didn't look competitive at all on Sunday vs the visiting Boston Red Sox.

It is yet another frustrating series for the team after a nice start to June.

After Sunday's loss, the Reds now sit at 36-41 and last in the NL Central. This has us wondering, why this team continues to go so up and down, and is it too late to believe this team can turn it around with 3 full months of games left?

Tim and Ben try to discuss these topics as well as the struggles of Will Benson, Elly, and Jeimer Candelario doing their part to keep the Reds offense going, and the return of Noelvi Marte

TRRS #541: Are the Pirates Really Better than the Reds? Jun 21, 2024

Nate was joined this week by Anthony DiNardo host of Pittsburgh Pirates podcast North Shore 9. They hashed out the Reds series loss, looked ahead to another matchup next week, and analyzed just how similar the trajectories of these two teams are.

Mostly though, they just waxed poetic about the young stars on both teams - particularly Elly De La Cruz, Paul Skenes, Hunter Greene, Nick Lodolo, and Jared Jones.

Late Night Reds: Happy Fathers Day! Sincerely, the Brewers Jun 17, 2024

Once again, the Reds lose a series to the Brewers for the 8th consecutive set.

On Sunday the Reds had a 3-0 lead over their NL Central Rivals and still managed to blow the lead with a 5-4 deficit. What will it take to beat the Brewers? Is it even possible at this point?

Tim and Ben will discuss that as well as the upcoming series vs the Pirates, and we remember Ken Griffey Jr's 500th Home Run which he hit on Father's Day 2004.

Rounding out the show, Quincy Wheeler of Guardians Fancast joins the guys to discuss the first round of the Ohio Cup. Quincy discusses what has the Guardians off to their great start, the amazing season of Jose Ramirez, and his thoughts on the first of two two-game sets this season between the two teams.
