The Rise of King Asilas

When America faced its ultimate crisis, the second civil war, a leader emerged that unified the fractured country. However, in order to reunite all the warring states, he had to restructure the government and restore order. In doing so, the country changed from a democracy to a monarchy. Reluctantly, General Asilas Roman became America’s first king. This is the story of King Asilas, an American patriot who became the center of the country’s most definitive time in history and the people he trusted during his reign as America’s first absolute ruler.

Episode 89: 1 Peter 2:8 Nov 10, 2023

Monica pleads again for Jacob not to go into the battle, but Jacob kisses her and promises to return to her and the baby. During the battle, Jacob is wounded. Bleeding profusely, the king carries his son to the medics and returns to the battle. The human and demon army engage the angel army with swords and in aerial assaults. The angels seems to have the advantage, slaughtering the human forces with relative ease, but the king and queen lead their toughest fighters and begin to make gains against the angels. Episode 88: Ultimate Strike Aug 11, 2023

King Asilas enters the cyber world of Esther to challenge her to a battle to the death. Oreb is distraught by the destruction of Esther, but simultaneously in disbelief Asilas was able to enter the computer world using his experimental contraption. Monica meets with the king to plead for Jacob’s position in the war battle, but the king was not impressed with her argument. Episode 87: Spiritual Catharsis Jul 04, 2023

The king has a lucid dream where he converses with Dr. Ezekiel and King Hussein in a therapy session. The Archangel and Alpha Omega discuss the fate of man and their willing blindness. Jacob professes his undying love to Monica and they marvel at their baby. The queen regains her sight, but not before she realizes the necessity of love in one’s heart. Episode 86: Salt of Doubt Jun 09, 2023

The king launches missiles at the angel army base, but they send three missiles of their own, which sets the entire base into a frenzy–and the queen unleashes rage toward the king for this impromptu attack. The angels appear to be on the move to attack, but suddenly retreat and the queen uses this opportunity to rally up the demons. The king retreats to his private quarters, and in his stressful moment, summons his consort Natalia. However, the queen walks in on their courtship and unleashes even more rage and fury which results in an untimely death. In haste, the queen summons Beals. A move she quickly regrets.

Episode 85: Strength Through Death Apr 21, 2023

A soldier tries to assassinate the king in his sleep, but the Queen intervenes in the most drastic way. Monica once again engages Esther in a battle of wits pertaining to fate and the supernatural. Oreb, out of frustration, asks the queen to speak with Asilas and get the war started. Jacob gets into a physical altercation with a sergeant who challenges him to a hand to hand combat drill for entertainment. In spite of this show of strength, the queen insists Jacob be places at the rear flank, but the king objects. Oreb, on the other hand, impressed, gives Jacob a very special, and deadly gift. Episode 84: A Way Out Mar 17, 2023

Gabriel tells Jacob he will make sure no one in the future forgets about him or his father. Monica goes psycho on Britney and accidentally shoots her. Queen Ana and Oreb plead with the king to allow Esther to be reactivate in order to help them with their war calculations. The king summons Princess Monica to face questions about her role in Britney’s death. Esther plays mind games with Oreb and Cody and JJ are trapped by a hoard of cannibals in the Grand Castle. Episode 83: Blood Deals Feb 24, 2023

Jacob meets with Russel to make the exchange, but not before they exchange words and reveal a bit more about the nature of the human/Drax relationship. Gabriel is asked to go back to the Grand Castle to retrieve a cooling unit before time runs out on the vials of the king’s blood. Cody and JJ are worried about the sounds of cannibals in the castle and have to find a safe place to hide. Jacob gets to training late which causes a stir, especially with the king. Tom Novak’s radio station is surrounded by cannibals and his final call with the king is heartfelt. The king’s machines once again are commandeered and begin attacking the human’s army. The king has no choice to deploy a global EMP. Featuring "Under No Nation" by GOAT.

Episode 82: All is Fair in Love and Turmoil Feb 10, 2023

Prince Jacob finds himself back at his father’s side and even training to lead the charge in the war. Esther goes rogue and disables the king’s machines, putting the king’s wits to the test. Unbeknownst to the king, Jacob, Dr. Slaughter and Monica try to find the time and the means to make the exchange of exotic elements and the king’s blood in exchange for the baby. Monica accuses Britney of trying to make moves on Jacob in her presence and the drama becomes toxic. Features the music of Paradox Obscur.

Episode 81: Switch Jan 13, 2023

Jacob learns of his brother’s fate, but before he could become grief stricken, Princess Monica reveals something emotionally horrendous that makes the prince’s mind go into a tailspin. Beals confronts the king about his insane stunt that ended up costing the Knight Spartan Nabal’s life. The king’s personal physician, Dr. Slaughter, is kidnapped by Gabriel and brought to Jacob to persuade him to help him and the princess get their son back from the Drax. They ask the doctor to literally put his life at risk by smuggling nine vials of the king’s blood for the Drax. He agrees only because it would be a personal favor for Princess Monica, which makes Jacob suspicious of their past together. Features the song "Turn the Dark On" by From Apes to Angles.

Episode 80: No Forgiveness Dec 25, 2022

Prince Isaac is once again put before everyone and proclaimed a traitor to the crown. He’s put to a gruesome death, which shocks everyone on the base. Asilas is then visited by the Alpha Omega and the woeful king begs for forgiveness. Afterwards, the king speak with Lord Oreb who tells him all is not lost and to let his remaining son Jacob back into his circle. Hemingway meets with Russel and the Drax make a strange and improbable demand before they are willing to hand over the king’s grandson. In the king’s physical and cognitive ambivalence, he inadvertently kills Hemingway and does one of the most heinous things he’s ever done as king to counter the blunder. Episode 79: Baby Dec 16, 2022

Lord Hemingway and Spartan Suarez meet with the Drax Russel hoping to strike a deal for the king’s grandson. Things heat up when Britney strikes a nerve with Princess Monica when Britney’s admiration of Jacob brings unbridled suspicion about her true motives. Queen Ana asserts herself as the absolute commander of the demon army, but in private something dire is happening to the king and she worries of its implications to the war. Asilas considers letting Prince Jacob back into his inner circle, but requests a meeting with Prince Isaac before he’s let back in. Isaac goes reluctantly, unsure of what the king will do to him.

Episode 78: The Dead Talk Nov 24, 2022

Queen Ana’s plan to attack the angel army from underground ends in an unmitigated disaster that shocks the king to his core. Cody and JJ get comfortable in the castle and realize the princess has all but forgotten about them, but they live it up in Asilas’s throne room. Lord Oreb introduces the king to their upgraded A.I. program, Esther, and they debate whether the program is sentient or not. Features the voice of the late John Doby.

Lord Hemingway discovers the Drax are near the king’s camp and suspect they wish to barter for the baby. However, Hemingway gets kidnapped by Gabriel, who brings him to Prince Jacob and the others. They make a last ditch proposition, but Hemingway runs back to tell the king.

Episode 77: Forgiveness is God's Business Nov 11, 2022

Lord Oreb sends Spartans on a mission to infiltrate the angel army base only to find their efforts meeting a horrific fate. Cody and the girls encounter dangers stemming from their need to refuel their vehicle. Jacob is suddenly awakened by the spirit of Queen Rebekah, who gives him an unbelievable piece of advice. Cody and the girls arrive at the Grand Castle and Princess Monica is reunited with Prince Jacob. However, Britney crashes the sweet moment and leaves Monica wondering who this strange woman is with her husband. Tom Novak invited General Sherman to speak live on the radio, but the General has to overcome a hoard of cannibals. Features the song “Wolves” by The Understudies.

Episode 76: Ripped to Shreds Oct 31, 2022

TRY BUILT BARS. King Asilas gives a speech to his human and demon army, revving up the ultimate war with the Son of Man, but is challenged by a skeptical soldier. Cody, JJ and Monica make their way out of the Carolinas and head toward the Grand Castle, but the road is long and perilous. Infighting begins to unravel the war plans in Asilas’s inner circle. Prince Jacob tells Gabriel, Isaac and Britney they should head to Megiddo against the odds to win back the king’s favor, but Isaac is deeply troubled by this notion. Episode 75: Death March Jul 22, 2022

King Asilas condemns Prince Isaac to die, and Gabriel to dispatched to help him. However, saving Isaac only presents greater problems to solve. Lord Banks and the others continue to have difficulties finding shelter and their frustrations boil over into great strife that will leave one of them dead. Queen Ana takes lead of the demon army and the march begins towards Israel and Megiddo. Beals relishes in the fruition of King Asilas's final ascension. The king tries to introduce Natalia to Shelley, but his threesome plans don't go the way he wanted. Prince Isaac sneaks away from his brother and Britney in order to disrupt his father’s wedding ceremony. Although he succeeds in the disruption, he fails at everything else and his taken to the gallows. Prince Jacob and Britney make it to the castle only to find Isaac in utter peril.

King Asilas and Lord Shelley gleefully address their generals and followers at the Grand Castle only to be challenged by one among them. Gabriel and Isaac sneak into the Grand Castle to witness the king behaving in the most shocking way. Lord Banks, JJ and the others find themselves trapped in another bunker with a limited supply of air and time running out to escape. Back on Exile Island, Jacob makes a bold, new plan and returns to New Eden in secret with Gabriel and the others only to discover something immense taking place. A Tribute to John Doby Mar 11, 2022

In 2021, we lost our dear friend and voice actor John Doby. He portrayed the character "Lord Quintin Capone," but he was more than merely a gritty voice. He was a collaborator who helped develop the Capone character and also became a good friend to the show. John had a wealth of personality and talent and breathed an authenticity into Capone that exceeded expectations. He is now immortalized as the Capone character on The Rise of King Asilas and a personal influence on the show's creator, JV Torres. Here is our humble tribute to John Doby with commentary by JV Torres, Steve Fisher and Lynn Spencer.

Episode 69: The Lion and the Lamb Mar 04, 2022

King Asilas has an eye opening discussion about his role in the world with the Archangel. Although in a weakened state, Cody makes a dark declaration which makes JJ sad. Lord Oreb and the others realize they need to land their chopper at a different base and get access to a plane that will take them back to the original states. But they know there are great risks and many dangers ahead of their journey. Isaac makes a bold gamble and confronts the king at the Grand Castle, but his pleads were met with anger and threats from his unrecognizable father. Features "Haunted" by Restless Spirit.

Episode 68: The Power of Prayer Feb 18, 2022

Oreb has a mid-air battle with a demon in the cockpit of a chopper. Lord Banks and JJ locate a vehicle and take an abandoned clinic to recuperate. But terrifying creatures are closing in on them once again. The Alpha Omega readies up his angel army for a showdown with King Asilas. The king also readies up his human army and gives a speech about the merging of demons and humans for the ultimate battle. But the Spartans will have to make one final, biological change that will affect them for the rest of their natural lives. Gabriel and Isaac use the time of the king’s speech to break into his office and find evidence that validates Isaac’s suspicions. Oreb, with his injured hand, makes it make to the others on base.

Episode 67: Change of Plans Feb 04, 2022

The king and Lord Oreb come to the conclusion Gabriel has betrayed them, but are unsure why. The reality of Capone’s death begins to set in for the king, who mourns his dear friend in a strange way. Lord Banks and the others decide to look for a different bunker as Cody’s condition worsens. Monica stays with Cody while Lord Banks and JJ venture into the dangerous unknown. Lord Oreb and the others eventually make it to a small air base, but only find one functioning chopper. Not everyone can fit into it. Isaac comes up with a plan to eliminate his father, but he seems to be the only one convinced the plan has any chance of success. Features the song "Leading the Lost" by No Hope.

Episode 66: Elimination Jan 01, 2022

Lords Oreb and Hemingway use mysterious means to get Lord Shelley to go with them, but they have a far bigger problem in terms of transportation. On Exile Island, Isaac tells Jacob what has been taking place at the Grand Castle and says he believes the king has murdered the queen. In South Carolina, Lord Banks, Monica and JJ try to figure out their next move while dealing with Cody’s failing health. During prayer, Asilas is visited by the Archangel, who tells him his dear friend Lord Quintin Capone is dead. Isaac and Jacob ask Gabriel where his loyalties lay. His answer baffles them.

*** This episode features the song "Immortal" by Analog. This song is performed vocally by Tony Hatzigeorgalis, who has been cast to play "King Asilas" in a film in 2022. The title of the film is to be released at a later date, but Hatzigeorgalis has already agreed to play the part as the king and is studying the audio drama to prepare himself for this role. Episode 65: Resistance Dec 25, 2021

King Asilas has to bring himself to do something unforgivable to the queen. But Prince Isaac is awaken by a terrifying nightmare that reveals what his father actually did to his mother. He confronts the king, and the Asilas is forced to arrest him and put him in the “dungeon.” In jail, Isaac meets Britney, who tells him of his father’s secret side. Gabriel, after meeting with the king, finds himself wandering in the castle and discovers the dungeon. There, he has to make a decision that will force him to take sides against the king. In China, Lords Oreb and Hemingway locate Shelley, but find she will not be going anywhere with them willingly. Features the song “No One Cares About What We’ve done” by Zach Bellas.

Episode 64: Logic and Reason Dec 10, 2021

Tom Novak interviews a retired General, who has choice words about the state of the kingdom and King Asilas himself. Lords Oreb and Hemingway inch their way closer to Shelley, but are once again attacked–this time by demons. Oreb, however, has a secret, alien weapon. Lord Banks and the others find that their escape tunnel has caved in. But something far more ominous is happening on the surface. The king gives his first speech to the demon army, but he doesn’t get the reception he was expecting. Beals reveals to him the reason why. The king is then left with a choice between his family or his destiny. Features the song “Fade Away” by Painted Mirror.

Lord Banks and the others find themselves trapped in a bunker with no way out but a mysterious tunnel as demons and cannibals try to break in. Episode 62: Demon Screams Nov 12, 2021

The Alpha Omega visits the king, but the conversation ends with a stark warning. Lords Oreb and Hemingway make it to China, near the mountain range where Shelley is believed to be hiding. The king tries to make one of the women in his harem to throw herself over the roof of the castle. Lord Banks, Monica, JJ and Cody make their way to a secret bunker in South Carolina, but find themselves in a frightening circumstance. Asilas threatens Capone's captors by kidnapping the families of high ranking Indian officials and beginning a countdown to torch them alive. The American Navy runs into some unexpected drama off the coast of India and Asilas is forced to dispatch a team of Spartans, which throws off his plans. Lord Shelley goes to Australia to negotiate terms for a surrender, but is instead captured by the dreaded Drax. Asilas encounters resistance from his own High Council for the first time and tests his resolve.

Asilas and King Hussein discuss the state of affairs in Africa after a year of war. China suggests moving on India, but Asilas is reluctant and decides to move on Sri Lanka instead for strategic purposes and sends Prince Jacob along with Lord Shelley to get some military command experience. However, things go terribly wrong. India launches a nuclear attack on American occupied Sri Lanka. Capone is arrested in India and Asilas is forced to act quickly to save his master plan and his best friend.

Lord Oreb finds out King George is still alive and that Asilas executed a shape shifter/imposter. Beals and Asilas exchange words about what fate awaits them after judgment. Jacob and Monica exchange marriage vows as a mission is taking place simultaneously to take out Lord Jackson.

King Hussein and the Middle Eastern Alliance moved on Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Algeria and Somalia in what became known as the Desert Demolition. China's President Wei expresses great discontent and pivots Hussein and Asilas against each other. Tensions build between King Hussein and President Wei as both plead with Asilas to be in control of the war effort in Africa. Lord Samuel dies when her helicopter is shot down and Asilas expands the High Council to 12 members. Monica meets in private with Lord Andrew Richards.

World War 3 appeared to be over, though other wars loomed as America moved on the continent of Africa. In a rare interview, China’s President Wei speaks openly about the Drax in an effort to muster more support for Asilas. America prepares for war in several countries in Africa and sends Lord Samuel to initiate diplomatic solutions to the resistance on the continent. Beals tries to warn Lemuria of Asilas in order to initiate an invasion sooner rather than later. Asilas gives an epic speech to inspire the people to prepare for the ultimate war.

The European Alliance is being torn apart and some countries voluntarily surrender to America to avoid complete annihilation, but by and large, Europe and Great Britain are fully engaged in the war. With much of the European states in a complete onslaught of battles with America, Asilas receives an invitation from the Vatican to meet with Pope Pius the XIV to discuss a peaceful end to the war. Oreb discovers a traitor close to the king. Queen Rebekah is furious with Asilas over the birthright swap.

Under the threat of a nuclear attack and utter obliteration, Switzerland caves and extradites King George and his queen to America. Asilas torments them before placing the rope around their necks in a highly dramatic execution. Jacob outsmarts Isaac in his quest to become heir to the American throne. While Switzerland is being ravaged, Asilas receives an urgent summons from Pope Pius XIV and ushers the High Council into a panic.

American forces fully invade England and Europe, forcing the Royal Families to go into hiding. But not before several British Royals are captured and hung in a public forum. Asilas sends a message to King George and the other Royals to surrender and be spared a humiliating death, but George and the remaining Royals seek refuge in Switzerland, whose neutrality in wars is threatened when Asilas tells the Swiss government to hand over King George or America will invade them as well.

Under mounting pressure from international leaders, Asilas decides to show the world just who the true enemies of mankind are in a live-streamed, epic demonstration. But in the process, Gabriel was exposed and the press asks who he is and what his role in Asilas’s government is. The rest of the world responds to the revealing of the “monsters” in utter shock and disbelief. While the media and population are fixated with the monsters, the British and the European Alliance indicate they have no interest in surrendering to America. Thus, the initiation of World War 3 is set into motion.

King Asilas initiates the “Net Ray,” a mysterious super weapon that counteracts nuclear missiles. Asilas speaks to his enemies and the world, explaining the capabilities of this weapon, and warning that any nuclear attack on America would be futile. He asks Great Britain and Europe to surrender to America in order to avoid a large scale war, but they refuse. Asilas is compelled to order an attack on England and Europe, initiating what essentially becomes World War 3.

Soon plans are drawn for more such “take overs” in the Western Hemisphere. The European Alliance is on its heels as the world reacts to America’s occupation of Mexico.
