The Right-Sized Life with Amy Schmidt

You’ve proven you’re brave. You cannonballed into one chapter of your life and showed up fully — for your family, your career, your community, everyone who needed you. You did that. And it mattered.

Now you’re asking a different question.

Not how do I do more? But does this still fit?

Welcome to The Right-Sized Life with Amy Schmidt — the podcast for women who are done maintaining the old life and ready to build the true one.

Every episode, Amy brings the honest conversation you’ve been waiting for — the one that sounds less like a self-help seminar and more like a glass of wine with your wisest friend. Real stories. Practical frameworks. Permission to let go of what no longer fits and make room for what actually does.

Because a right-sized life isn’t about having less.

It’s about having what fits — so when the moments that matter arrive, you are actually there for them.

Amy Schmidt is the founder of Fearlessly Facing Fifty, bestselling author of CANNONBALL! Fearlessly Facing Midlife and Beyond and the forthcoming The Right-Sized Life, TEDx speaker, and one of the most trusted voices in midlife women’s media.

Go forth and live aligned. 🤍

EP 53: Tidy Your Mind with Angie Johnsey Jul 16, 2020
    Show notes

Like a house, our mind also has its own set of rooms. When the house is full of clutter and mess, it distracts people living in it and can sometimes result in low focus because your home is in a state of disarray. The same can be said with our minds. If we don’t tidy up and throw out the junk, not only are we distracted but we are also depriving ourselves of the benefits and joy of having a clear and calm mind.

If you want to free up your head from all the chaotic mess collected from the clutter of anxiousness, negative thoughts, and emotions then sit back, relax, take out your notes, and listen to this episode!

In this episode, I’m joined by Angie Johnsey to talk about the tidy mind process and how to understand, care for, and relax your mind!

Angie is a speaker, author, hypnotherapist, and also a psychiatric nurse by trade. She brings clarity to others by helping them become aware of their mental and emotional patterns to have a healthy mind and live a happy and fulfilled life.

It’s time to clean up and tidy your mind rooms as world-renowned mind expert, Angie teaches us how!

    Episode Highlights:

    • How Angie got interested in everything related to the mind and helping people with their mind
    • Learning how the mind works
    • The mind is a powerful functional thing
    • How to tidy your mind
    • The house analogy of the tidy mind process
    • Tips and strategies when you get stuck in a room
    • Meeting the needs of our mind
    • Help yourself by helping others
    • Why you need to stop being mean to yourself
