Theo Erlangsen on the Controversial Leaked UCI/WBD Document: What Does It Really Mean for MTB? Oct 09, 2024

Show notes

Theo Erlangsen is BACK, and the gloves are off... In this episode, Theo joins Olly and Davi to break down the leaked Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) document titled '2025 MTB Reform: Evolution of Mountain Bike Racing'. Together, they dissect how the document was leaked, explore Theo's take on the few positive suggestions, and critically examine the potential fallout. Will race teams and riders be forced out? Could a big social media following become more important than race results? Should Chris Ball and the UCI consult the athletes directly? And, what will these changes mean for the future of the sport we all love? The guys also discuss how tracks could be improved, what the changes imply for the future of mountain biking and the broader consequences for both athletes and fans. Plus, Theo shares stories from his latest adventures, including the Monster Girl trip to Ibiza, the Monster Backyard Battle events, Trans Madeira, and much more. Please share your thoughts in the comments, we want to hear your views on the current state of our sport...
