    Show notes

Jesus told the Pharisees that demanded a sign that the only sign they would get would be the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah preached repentance, so did Jesus. Unlike the Ninevites, however, the Pharisees did not repent. Also, Jesus stated that just as Jonah was in the great fish 3 days and 3 nights, so would Jesus be in the heart of the earth. Thus predicting His death and resurrection. This message shows us how the story of Jonah predicted Jesus.

    Greater Than Solomon - 1 Kings 10:1-13 - 2/28/2016 Mar 02, 2016
    Show notes

The Queen of Sheba sought out the wisdom of Solomon and ended up praising and believing in God. Jesus mentioned this during His time on earth and proclaimed to everyone around Him that He was greater than Solomon was. Do we seek Christ in the same way that the Queen of Sheba sought out Solomon?

    Taking The Blame - Leviticus 16:1-34 - 2/7/2016 Feb 08, 2016
    Show notes

On the Day of Atonement the high priest would give sacrifices for the sins of himself and the people of Israel. In addition to the sacrifices, they also pronounced their sins on the head of a goat and sent him into the wilderness. This goat was called the scapegoat because it carried the burden of sin of Israel on itself. When Christ was on the cross He carried the burden of our sins on Him.

    Keeping The Law We Couldn't Keep - Exodus 20:1-21 - 1/31/2016 Feb 08, 2016
    Show notes

God did not give us the 10 commandments as a way for us to earn our way into heaven. Rather, we were given the Law so that we would know what sin was and know that we would need a Savior. Jesus kept the law perfectly and did what we couldn't do.

    Protected By A Sacrifice - Exodus 12:1-30 - 1/24/2016 Jan 29, 2016
    Show notes

When Moses was trying to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt, Pharaoh refused to let them go until the final plague, which killed all of the first-born people and animals. The Hebrews were protected because they obeyed God and put the blood of the lamb on their doorposts. The Passover was meant to tell us about the ultimate sacrifice that was coming. Jesus was going to be the sacrifice that would take away the sins of all who came to Him.

    Putting Others In Front Of Ourselves - Genesis 44:1-34 - 1/17/2016 Jan 29, 2016

In this message, we look at Christ's great-grandfather, Judah, and see his act of sacrifice for his youngest brother. This act serves as a foreshadowing to what Jesus would do in the future.
