Shot Twice, Torn Achilles, and Still Relentless | Vince Hall Sep 26, 2026
    Show notes

On the Relentless Pursuit Podcast, host Joe Adams interviews Vince Hall, a Texas transplant building Decre Training in Nashville.

At 18, Vince Hall was a college football player chasing the NFL when gunmen opened fire inside a small club in Jackson, Tennessee. He was shot twice. Doctors weren't sure he'd run again.

He came back anyway. He rehabbed in a Houston garage with no idea what he was doing, walked on at the University of Houston, and fought his way up the depth chart fueled by pure anger. Then a torn tricep ended his career for good.

Coaching gave him a new purpose, but he hid his story from the athletes he was mentoring for years. Now Vince and his wife Sophie have moved to Nashville to build Decree Training, and just as the momentum hit, he tore his Achilles. Same leg he got shot in.

This isn't a comeback story told from the other side. Vince is in the storm right now.

In this episode, Joe Adams and Vince go deep on identity, stoic fathers, anger versus gratitude, faith under pressure, and what it actually takes to break a cycle instead of repeating it.

Holding the Wheel | Jim Morris on Integrity, Forgiveness & What He'd Say to His Dad Sep 11, 2026
    Show notes

Joe Adams welcomes back Jim Morris on the Relentless Pursuit Podcast (Ep. 208) for a wide-ranging conversation about integrity, connection, and legacy.

Jim Morris watched his father pull a man out of a burning car after a police officer told him he shouldn't have. Years later he watched the same man lose himself to OxyContin while telling his son not to touch drugs.

That contrast is where this conversation lives.

In part one Jim told the story of the house he grew up in and the eighteen years he spent unable to ask anyone for help. This is the other half. What he built out of it, what it costs to hold a line, and the times he didn't.

He talks about the road metaphor he uses for integrity, the dotted lines you drift across without noticing, and how the little compromises stack until the big one doesn't feel like one. He tells the story of the $200 he took from a man who had helped him. He talks about the coach who taught him to use photos of his own kids to close a sale, and about walking away from tens of thousands of dollars when he saw who someone really was off stage.

And near the end, he answers a question about his father.

Watch Episode 206 first if you haven't. This one lands harder with it.

Jim is the author of Connect or Die and the founder of Human Touch Publishing.

Kelly Cheatham | 40 Years, Two Prayers, And the Woman Who Stayed Sep 04, 2026
    Show notes

On the Relentless Pursuit Podcast, host Joe Adams interviews Kelly Cheatham about her life, marriage, and recovery journey with her husband Rick. Kelly shares growing up in Long Beach in a chaotic alcoholic home, being labeled a “daydreamer,” experiencing molestation, and forming guardedness and distrust. She explains meeting Rick through church, marrying quickly, then facing years of sexual disconnection, pornography, boundary violations, and infidelity she didn’t understand as addiction. After 10 years of marriage and two sons, she reached a suicidal low, vowed to leave, and began nursing school one class at a time as a plan for independence. Through mentorship and accountability, both worked on recovery from “intimacy disorder,” reframing blame, rebuilding trust over years, and developing healthier communication and boundaries, leading Kelly to stay, finish school, and pursue mental health nurse practitioner training while helping others in recovery.

In this conversation she talks about the years of putting the pieces together, what the church told her to do, the night on the stairway when she said she hated him, hated God, and hated the church, and what kept her alive the next morning. She talks about what she had to change in herself, what forgiveness actually costs, and the moment years later when she found p*rn on his iPad and sat him down and asked how work was going.

She also talks directly to the thousands of strangers who decided how she must feel.

The addiction was his. The recovery was both of theirs. This is the half of the story that has never been told.

40 Years, One Prayer, and the Man He Had to Become | Rick Cheatham Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

Rick Cheatham returns to The Relentless Pursuit Podcast, andthis one is not about his journey. It is about what was underneath it.

Over 40 years ago, Rick prayed for a wife. He described her down to the height and the hair, then felt guilty about how shallow the prayer had gotten and added one more line: help me become the man of God you want me to be.

Two weeks later, Kelly walked into his church.

Ten years later she told him she hated him, she hated the church, and because of him, she hated God.

This episode is about what a man does after that sentence.

Rick opens up about pornography, strip clubs, prostitution, and adultery, and then makes the case that none of it was ever actually the problem. He walks through the core belief he carried out of childhood, that he was not enough and never would be, and how that one identity produced every behavior that followed. He shares the moment he told Kelly the entiretruth while she was pregnant, what happened the next day, and the words from his mentor that saved his family.

He also talks about the man who murdered his son, the ten years of hatred he carried, and the sentence that finally broke it.

Rick walks Joe through START WHERE YOU STAND, thetransformation framework he built out of the mass casualty triage system he learned in the fire service.

Size up yourself. Triage your thinking. Act in faith instead of fear. Regulate your emotion. Thrive.

Rick and his wife Kelly are turning their property into a recovery residence for men working through intimacy disorders, so those men can reintegrate with their families with proof that it can work.

The addiction is a symptom. Identity is the issue. Transformation is the story.

"From Burnout to Stillness" | Abby Miranda on Faith, Missionary Life in Liberia & Becoming Aug 13, 2026
    Show notes

Abby Miranda grew up as the oldest girl in a family of sevenkids in Dixon, Tennessee, the daughter of a pastor who taught her that faith is a relationship, not a religion. She became a first grade teacher, then walked away from the classroom to spend five months as a missionary in a remote village in Liberia, Africa, with no grocery store, no hospital, and nodistractions, just herself, her husband, and God.

In this episode of The Relentless Pursuit Podcast, Abby sitsdown with host Joe Adams for a wide-ranging conversation: growing up in a homeschooling household, the anxiety and loss that led her into that Liberian village, what it felt like to detox from a hyperconnected life, and how that stillness now shapes her personal training business, her marriage, and how she thinks about becoming a mother. They talk about recognizing burnout before it becomes depression, the difference between people pleasing and genuine service, why she stopped needing her husband to make her okay, and how she hears God in the small, practical decisions of an ordinary week.

This is a conversation about faith, family, identity, andthe slow work of figuring out who you are underneath everything you do. If you have ever felt like you were pouring from an empty cup, this one is for you.

Stick around for the rapid fire round and Abby's answer tothe show's closing question: what is your relentless pursuit.

Lydia Adams | 200 Episodes, Marriage, Parenthood & Building A Life Together Jul 09, 2026
    Show notes

Episode 200 of The Relentless Pursuit Podcast brings thejourney full circle.

Lydia Adams has been part of this podcast from the verybeginning. She first came on to share her story, returned for Episode 100 to reflect on the journey, and now joins Joe again for a raw conversation about nearly four years of building a life, marriage, family, and purpose together.

Joe and Lydia reflect on the seasons that tested them, the sacrifices nobody sees, the pressures of entrepreneurship, financial uncertainty, becoming parents, Lydia’s health and hormone struggles, faith, spiritual differences, and what it takes to continue choosing growth together.

They open up about raising their daughter Ozzy, learningfrom her as much as they teach her, putting their marriage at the foundation of their family, and building a life that looks very different from what they onceimagined.

This is not a conversation about having a perfect marriage or an easy journey.

It is about commitment, faith, sacrifice, resilience, growth, and continuing to move forward together through every season.

After 200 episodes, the relentless pursuit continues.
