That’s the first time this is mentioned. Let’s read on: “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed” (verses 7-8). Notice the timing in these verses. Lawlessness is already at work. This is happening in the present time. The restraining one is now restraining and will continue to do so. However, at some point in the future, that restrainer will be removed, and the restraining will end. Once the restraining ends, the Antichrist will be revealed. That’s why we’ve got to read the whole passage. The best way to study the Bible is to let the Bible explain the Bible. Joel 3 PREEMPTOR The enemy takes advantage of our weakness for idolatry and brings many opportunities for idol worship our way. He uses the media, which is controlled by the Antichrist spirit, to draw attention to and glorify these heaven gods of self gratification and sin. Most people, including Christians, watch several hours of television each day where beautiful people act out fictional stories in which they triumph over every obstacle or tragedy without prayer or the help of God. Eventually, over time, many Christians who possibly spend a short devotional time with God every morning but spend their entire evening watching TV, lose interest in God. Many times it isn’t until some great tragedy comes into our life that we get back into a more sincere pursuit of God. Then, alas, when things start going well again, we often fall back into our lax spiritual life and God needs to permit another difficulty to come our way to draw us back again. Our verse states that these heathen gods will be “acknowledged and increased with glory” and that he (the Antichrist in my interpretation) will “cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.” There is no doubt that our hearts and minds are being seduced towards evil by the movies and TV programs we watch and the music we listen to. Satanic cults believe that good is evil and evil is good. Subtly we find ourselves accepting this in the carefully crafted stories and songs that exalt sin. If you take time to notice, most movies have something immoral in them that has nothing to do with the storyline. We watch these movies anyway. Many songs played in our stores and offices, to say nothing of the radio stations broadcasting into homes and automobiles, are glorifying adultery. Movie stars and recording artists become people’s gods and they are so acknowledged and glorified that their sinful ways, once considered taboo, have become something to be emulated. This causes these false gods to rule over many people. Romans 6:16 states, “Don’t you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master?” (NLT) This is how the Antichrist spirit is able to rule over people and even overtake a nation. Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed whom the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. There is a perpetually higher price to be paid if one wants to continue getting the Devil’s powers. What worked last week won’t work this week. If killing a rabbit brought power last week, one must kill two rabbits this week to get the same amount of power so to speak. So far we have only talked about power gained through abuse, but there also must be death in their rituals. After the living creature is killed, everyone in attendance at the ritual must eat part of the animal’s flesh and drink its blood. At some point the Devil is not satisfied with the death of an animal or multiple animals and wants a human sacrifice. It is often the baby of one of the cult members that gets sacrificed. It is not unusual for drugs to be administered to the mother causing premature birth so the child can be sacrificed before the pregnancy is as noticeable as it would be in the last few weeks. In this verse we don’t see human sacrifice but we do see the demons demanding this perpetrator do more if he is to get the power he needs to get out of his predicament. The demon wants to expand his kingdom (enter with the strength of his whole kingdom). The demon is not satisfied that he has completely taken over the perpetrator’s soul. He wants to expand his kingdom to those innocent persons around the perpetrator (and upright ones with him). The demon will see to it that circumstances arise such that the perpetrator will have the opportunity to sexually abuse an innocent baby or child, in this case a little girl (and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her). The Hebrew word for “corrupting” is frequently used by the prophets in the sense of “to corrupt morally.” This little girl will not choose to serve Satan as this perpetrator does (but she shall not stand on his side). It had been days since south-central Pennsylvania had seen the sun. The trickles ran down hills, forming streams that turned into small rivers, all looking for pools where the water could stop its journey and accumulate. One of those collection pools was Lake Conemaugh—a reservoir created when the South Fork Dam was built in the mid-nineteenth century. Now, decades later, the poor engineering of the dam was about to reveal itself in a disastrous way. On May 31, 1889, the constant downpour finally prevailed. The South Fork Dam burst, sending 3.8 billion gallons of water crashing down the mountain toward unsuspecting Johnstown, Pennsylvania. As the water rushed, it picked up debris—trees, cabins, railroad cars. It also swept up victims as it tore through helpless small towns—South Fork, Mineral Point, and East Conemaugh. When the flood finally reached Johnstown some 57 minutes later, the wall of water and wreckage was 35 feet high and travelling at 40 miles per hour. The destruction was unimaginable. A reported 2,209 people lost their lives that day, including 99 entire families wiped off the face of the earth.1 All that potential for destruction had been there for years, but it had been restrained by the dam. This is the very picture that Paul presents in 2 Thessalonians 2. There is a restrainer in place right now, held secure by the Lord. But it will not remain there forever. A time is coming when the restrainer will be removed. On that day, people had better run for high ground, because devastation is about to pour down THE COMING APOSTASY Great confusion surrounds Paul’s words in 2 Thessalonians 2. There is little doubt that he is talking about the end times and the coming of the Antichrist. It’s the timing of the passage’s events that creates the debate. The origin of the uncertainty resides less in Paul’s words than in how people read them. Many, however, don’t read as far as they should. Paul began, “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come” (verses 1-2). A rumor was spreading, saying that Christ had returned, and the Thessalonians had somehow been left behind. Paul told them, “Don’t worry, folks. It’s all fake news.” He encouraged them not to panic or rush to conclusions. There is an order of events that must occur before the return of Christ. The day is approaching, but it’s not here yet. Up to this point, everyone seems to agree on what is said in the passage. The problem comes when some people read just one more verse, then stop. This premature halt leaves them with a thoroughly wrong conclusion. Paul wrote, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Jesus will not return until there is a falling away. The Greek word here is apostasia, which gives us the English word apostasy. There are some who say that this word refers to the rapture, which makes no sense linguistically or logically. …………… Something is restraining, and something is being restrained. English theologian George Hawkins Pember, in his 1876 masterpiece, Earth’s Earliest Ages, analyzed the prophecy of Jesus Christ that says the end times would be a repeat of “the days of Noah.” Pember outlined the seven great causes of the antediluvian destruction and documented their developmental beginnings in his lifetime. The seventh and most fearful sign, Pember wrote, would be the return of the spirits of Nephilim, “the appearance upon earth of beings from the Principality of the Air, and their unlawful intercourse with the human race.” Jesus Himself, in answering His disciples concerning the signs of His coming and of the end of the world, said it would be “as the days of Noah were” (Matthew 24:37). The implication is, just as it was before the Flood when the spirits of Nephilim were powerful upon earth (Genesis 6:4), mankind would experience an end-times renaissance of the influence of these entities. From Scripture we are made to understand that the purpose of this latter-day wave of supernaturalism includes deception (2 Timothy 3:13), and the effect upon mankind would be so successful that heresy and delusion would become firmly entrenched—even within institutionalized Christianity. Based on contemporary developments, the foretold increase in demonism and its influence within secular and religious society is rapidly unfolding in this century—abruptly, dramatically, and suspiciously. Biblical scholar Gary Stearman agrees, stating in disturbing language how the manifestation of these powers is quickening now because the world is under conditions “in which the influence of God’s Holy Spirit is diminishing.”[71] This is apparent not only in metaphysics, but within science and technology, where genetic engineering and transhumanist aspirations seem literally hellbent on repeating what the Watchers did in giving birth to the spirits of Nephilim as in the days of Noah. [6] Over the years, biblical scholar Gary Stearman has written extensively about Nimrod (Apollo/Osiris/Gilgamesh) and the connection this historical figure has with Babylonian Mystery Religion, Watchers, Nephilim (including their resurrection), and the spirit of the end-times Antichrist and revival of paganism. He too appears to believe the coming of Antichrist represents a return of Nimrod. “But who is this Assyrian,” he asked in the July 2001 Prophecy in the News Magazine, “He is none other than the spiritual inheritor of the first great post-Flood religious apostasy. He is the keeper of the great heritage that began at the Assyrian capital, Nineveh. Its founder was Nimrod…. He is the Antichrist, the future despot who comes in the name of the ancient mystery religion.” A year earlier, in June of 2000, Stearman had written in Prophecy in the News concerning Nimrod: “He was a rebel who allowed himself to be worshipped as a god. After the Flood, his rebellion became the foundation of mankind’s greatest religious apostasy. It attempts to channel the power of the ancient gods through the figure of one, powerful man. Nimrod became that god…” [emphasis]. Alexander Hislop in his classic text The Two Babylons substantiates Stearman’s thesis that the Babylonian Mystery Religion was based on the worship of Nimrod. “It was to glorify Nimrod that the whole Chaldean system of iniquity was formed,” he wrote (p.20). Yet Stearman sees that the Mystery Religion continued secretly through the ages, shrouded in hiding by adepts of the occult in anticipation of a final moment when the ancient spirit should be awakened. “…corrupt priesthoods have flourished, carrying with them the shadow of Nimrod and his ancient mysteries. Their inner secrets have been known by various names, including alchemy, magic, sorcery, conjuring, soothsaying and so forth…. waiting for the prophesied day when it would rise once again. This movement will result in the reign of the Antichrist.” In addition to the supernatural aspects that biotechnology could provide the Luciferian technology to resurrect Nimrod/Apollo/Osiris in the person of the last days Man of Sin, the ramifications of using the same science to revive extinct animals, Nephilim, or to create newly engineered versions of demigods and mythological animals may also play a role in the Kingdom of Antichrist. This is because as interbreeding begins between transgenic animals, genetically modified humans, and specie as God made them, the altered DNA will quickly migrate into the natural environment, and when that happens (as is already occurring among genetically modified plants and animals), ‘alien’ and/or animal characteristics will be introduced to the human gene pool and spread through intermarriage, altering the human genetic code and eventually eliminating humanity as we know it. This is what happened before the Great Flood according to many theologians, and perhaps that has been the whole idea for the end-times as well—to create a generation of genetically altered ‘Nimrods’ to serve as ‘fit extensions’ for the resurrection of underworld Nephilim-hordes in preparation of Armageddon. Does a curious verse in the book of Daniel hint at this? Speaking of the last days of human government, Daniel said: “…they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay” (Dan. 2:43). While Daniel does not explain who they that “mingle themselves with the seed of men” are, the personal pronoun they caused Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman in their book Alien Encounters to ask: “Just what (or who) are ‘mingling with the seed of men?’ Who are these Non-seed? It staggers the mind to contemplate the potential significance of Daniel’s passage and its implications for the future global governance.” [7] 91 From THE LIVE RAGGED EDGE RADIO BROADCAST/SHATTER LIVE TV WEBINAR RUSS DIZDAR © Daniel’s verse troubled Missler and Eastman because it seemed to indicate that the same phenomenon that occurred in Genesis chapter 6 where non-human species or ‘non-seed’ mingled with human seed and produced Nephilim, would happen again in the end times. When this verse from Daniel is coupled with Genesis 3:15, which says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed [zera,] and her seed,” an incredible tenant emerges—that Satan has seed, and that it is at enmity with Christ. To ‘mingle’ non-human seed with Homo sapiens through altering human DNA while simultaneously returning Nephilim to earth has been the inspiration of the spirit of antichrist ever since God during the Great Flood halted the practice. According to Louis Pauwells & Jacques Bergier in The Dawn of Magic (first published in France under the title “Le Matin des Magiciens” 1960 by Editions Gallimard, Paris), this was certainly the goal of the antichrist Adolf Hitler: Hitler’s aim was neither the founding of a race of supermen, nor the conquest of the world; these were only means towards the realization of the great work he dreamed of. His real aim was to perform an act of creation, a divine operation, the goal of a biological mutation which would result in an unprecedented exaltation of the human race and the “apparition of a new race of heroes and demigods and god-men.” [8] One cannot read the conclusion by Pauwells and Bergier regarding Hitler’s antichrist ambition without seeing how it corresponds perfectly with the Cumaean Sibyl’s prophecy pertaining to the coming of Apollo, who receives “the life of gods, and sees Heroes with gods commingling.” This calls to mind that from the Middle Ages forward, church leaders have believed the Antichrist would ultimately represent the return of the Nephilim—the reunion of demons with humans. St. Augustine himself wrote of such demoniality in the City of God [9], and in the De Daemonialitate, et Incubis, et Succubi, Fr. Wewelsburg was the cathedral where the senior ‘priests’ of Himmler’s dark religion came to engage in their worship and be indoctrinated more deeply into the mythological universe he inhabited. They attempted to achieve a state of ‘rapture’ in which they could communicate with the Secret Chiefs, of whose wisdom they believed themselves to be the guardians. There was considerable activity within the occult field in Nazi Germany, even if most of it did take place underground. Himmler actually remarked that ‘science’ would soon be replaced by ‘geheimwissenschaft’ – ‘occult science’. The ultimate goal of the illuminated National Socialists went far beyond the simple military and political domination of the world. In the same way their obsession with the creation of an Aryan Master Race went far beyond simple racism and into areas that read like the imaginings of a science fiction novelist. The whole focus of the occult aspects of Nazism was geared towards realizing what they saw as the next stage of human evolution and the creation of the ‘New Man’ who would be as far above the Aryans as in their eyes they were already above all other humans. Hitler and Himmler worked tirelessly towards achieving the triumph of the ‘New Man’ to a greater degree than any other Nazi leaders. As Hitler said: Creation is not yet completed. All creative forces will be concentrated on a new species. The two types of man, the old and the new, will evolve rapidly in different directions. Man is God in the making.’ All the various occult techniques that Himmler in particular employed created a fanatical autohypnosis which convinced disciples, succumbing to the totalitarian discipline in the promise of reaching a transcendent reality, that they were the new men the age was waiting for, that they were endowed with a secret energy which would enable them to take over Germany and the world. The ‘New Man’ visualized by Hitler had developed his psychic powers to their fullest extent. He would not only be physically stronger and intellectually superior but his psychic and spiritual development would raise him to the level of a divine being. The New Man would have mastered the secrets of time travel and be able to visit the distant past and the remote future with equal ease.
