Exhaust #186: Adventure Bikes Can Change Your Life (w/Simon Cudby) Apr 27, 2022
    Show notes

Jason Weigandt talks to longtime and all-time motocross photographer and video man Simon Cudby about his new life chasing trails on adventure bikes. Cudby spent 20 years in the trenches shooting photos at the races, but when all that travel caught up to him, he had to find a new way to stay in the motorcycle world. The answer was adventure bikes, which is his new focus via his OffRoadUnderground.com website. Simon now travels the world on big bikes, basically living the dream we all dream: seeing exotic locations from behind a set of handlebars. Enjoy this episode of the Racer X Exhaust podcast, presented by Yoshimura, Leatt, and OnTrack School.

The Racer X MXGP Review Show #6 Apr 25, 2022
    Show notes

Round six of the 2022 MXGP World Championship took the FIM series into the brutally bumpy, sandy-ish terrain of Kegums for the Grand Prix of Latvia. Adam Wheeler and Lewis Phillips have plenty to talk about, even if the MXGP class is already heavily Honda-formed. A popular local podiumee and a first trophy for Spain's next Grand Prix star, plus a red-plate swaparound in MX2, were just some of the topics on the table.

Exhaust #185: The Past and the Future (with Chad Reed) Apr 21, 2022
    Show notes

Following Chad Reed's return to Monster Energy AMA Supercross—well, his return to opening ceremonies, at least—Jason Weigandt rang up the legend to chat about getting his championship-replica 2004 YZ250 two-stroke ready for the track in St. Louis. Turns out to be a much more complicated story than you'd imagine, from early-morning scrambles to put parts in bags to the throttle sticking on a jump and nearly ending everything badly. Enjoy Chad's tale of retro two-stroke madness, and then focus on the future. Chad and Ellie Reed were really in St. Louis so their son Pace could participate in the KTM Jr. Supercross Challenge. How are the Reeds navigating the world of amateur minicycle racing? What about the pressure that comes with the name Reed on the jersey? And starting a YouTube channel? Jason and Chad chat about all of it here. The Racer X Exhaust Podcast is presented by Yoshimura, Leatt, and OnTrack School.

Exhaust #184: Carey Hart on Early Freestyle, Rise and End for RCH Apr 14, 2022
    Show notes

Jason Weigandt chats with racer, freestyle pioneer, and championship-winning team owner Carey Hart about the wild early days of freestyle, taking his Hart & Huntington team all the way to the top of the sport with Ken Roczen on RCH Yoshimura Suzuki, and what he does now to get his moto fix. Can you believe Carey Hart still races in local motocross races? Sure does. The Racer X Exhaust Podcast is presented by Yoshimura, Leatt, and OnTrack School.

The Racer X MXGP Review Show #5 Apr 13, 2022
    Show notes

The first quarter of the 2022 MXGP World Championship is in the books, so Adam Wheeler and Lewis Phillips chat through the subjects and talking points that surfaced from the Grand Prix of Trentino—the most picturesque event on the calendar. Who ate the pasta? Who had it force-fed? Do we like reversed tracks? And where will some riders go for 2023? Plus more!

The Racer X MXGP Review Show is sponsored by Just 1 Racing.

Exhaust #183: Adam Cianciarulo is Not Down in the Dumps Apr 06, 2022
    Show notes

"My life is not rough!" is the main thing Adam Cianciarulo wants people to take away from this podcast. Yes, he's out injured again, and his ACL recovery might cost him all of 2022, but he's well aware that being a professional dirt bike racer is still amazing, and he's not in a dark place. The injuries used to weigh on him like that, though. It used to make him feel bitter toward the sport. He has now learned not to define himself by his results. Don't worry, he still wants to win, though. Jason Weigandt learns a lot about perspective in this interview with Adam. You can learn too.

The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura, Leatt, and OnTrack School.

The Racer X MXGP Review Show is sponsored by Just 1 Racing.
