To remain solvent in a tightening fiscal environment, wastewater infrastructure providers will have to examine their collection, treatment, and disposal systems. Utilities may need to make crucial decisions regarding which systems are paramount and must be upgraded first. In doing so, they will have to find ways to compensate for the vast amount of missing funding that once supported the industry.
