Episode 62: Russell Brand and the Collision of MeToo & Contrarian Media; Did the Sexual Revolution Fail? - with Emilie Hagen & Jennifer Carmody Sep 21, 2023
    Show notes

Russell Brand is the target of sexual assault accusations & a vicious censorship campaign. While the charges appear serious, many suspect Brand is being targeted less for his bad behavior in the past, & more for his recent turn as an anti-Establishment media figure. What happens when a person is being rightly prosecuted but for the wrong reasons?

Also, Emilie Hagen & Jennifer Carmody join me for a follow-up to our discussion on the House in Habit podcast about Bari Weiss' public debate on "Did the Sexual Revolution Fail?". A deep dive into modern gender roles and relations.

Episode 61: El Salvador's Brutal (and Popular) War Against the Gangs - with Narco-Politics Expert Ioan Grillo Sep 13, 2023
    Show notes

The most interesting story nobody is talking about. El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele has instituted a brutal gang crackdown imprisoning nearly 1% of the entire population over the past year (the equivalent of over 3 million people in the US).

This war against the gangs has been brutal...and effective. El Salvador's murder rate has plummeted 94%(!) since 2015, when it was the most violent nation in the Western Hemisphere. President Bukele suspended many civil rights and essentially locks up

Episode 60: SAG/WGA Strike Outlook; LA Reinstates "Zero Bail"; Rachel/Richard Levine Puberty Comments; Adam 22 & the Death of Shame; Sperm Count Wars Jul 21, 2023
    Show notes

Hollywood is at a stand-still with both the actor's and writer's guilds striking simultaneously for the 1st time since 1960. What is the battle over? What does this portend for the future of media?

Transgender Health Secretary Rachel/Richard Levine makes controversial statements about childhood puberty and puberty blockers.

LA (and Illinois) have reinstated "Zero Bail" policies for some crimes - and can no long jail criminals before trial.

Internet Personality Adam 22 celebrates his wife having sex w another man...and comes to regret it.

Sperm count has declined in Western society nearly 50% over the past 50 years. Even THIS issue has now become part of the Culture Wars.

Episode 59: Threads Takes On Twitter; Jonah Hill "Cancellation" Attempt & the Publicizing of Private Affairs; NY Times Fake News Hit Piece on Clarence Thomas; Rolling Stone Comes Out in Support of Child Traffickers Jul 13, 2023
    Show notes

Meta releases Threads - the first true challenge to Twitter's supremacy as the "digital town square". What was the thinking behind Threads? Will it spell the end for Twitter? Who is using Threads so far and how?

Jonah Hill's ex-girlfriend releases a batch of private texts supposedly showing him to be abusive and it's got the digital sphere talking. Another example of how we no longer know where to draw the line between Private & Public.

NY Times publishes a hit piece suggesting Clarence Thomas is irretrievably corrupt. Upon review, the piece is a clear "Fake News" missive making grossly false allegations against the Supreme Court Justice.

Strange week for the media - publishing pieces on how "fitness makes you right wing" and in support of....birth control and child trafficking? I analyze some truly odd pieces from NBC, MSNBC, and Rolling Stone.

Episode 58: Exposing the Waste & Dysfunction of "Diversity Equity & Inclusion" Programs in Corporate America - with Conor Friedersdorf of The Atlantic Jun 23, 2023
    Show notes

"Diversity", "Equity", & "Inclusion" are seemingly separate principles. However, the terms have been lumped together, co-opted by an industry of professionals, and implanted bureaucratically in Corporate America. With expensive "DEI Consultants" renting themselves out to companies, and "DEI Executives" occupying lofty (and expensive) positions at major corporations, no one seemed to ever ask the question "Does any of this stuff actually work?". Conor Friedersdorf of The Atlantic has taken a deeper look at companies scrutinizing these programs (and personnel) and starting to wonder if they're getting their bang for their buck.

Episode 57: Understanding "ESG" - The Faulty Social Credit Score for Corporate America - with Haley Kennington Jun 22, 2023
    Show notes

Originally intended to measure strict environmental impact, "Environment Social Governance" or "ESG" scores are now used by financial institutions to reward and punish companies based on their supposed ethics. But are these scores actually measuring the right things? When Phillip Morris earns an ESG score multiples of Tesla - despite making a product that is literally killing people - it appears safe to say that the scoring system is broken. Haley Kennington of Wrong Speak has been studying how ESG scores have become nothing more than intimidation rackets for progressive institutions to bully companies into aligning with their political agenda. She joins me this episode to discuss.

Episode 56: The "Disinformation" War: The Unholy Alliance of the National Security State & Big Tech Against the American People - with Jacob Seigel Jun 02, 2023
    Show notes

The battle against ISIS and Vladimir Putin's invasion of Crimea in 2014 woke up the American national security apparatus to the notion of "hybrid war" - the impact of social media activity on battlefield results.

Beginning with the election of Donald Trump in 2016, this national security apparatus was aimed away from external enemies and turned inwards against American citizens - any of those deemed to be engaging in "Disinformation".

"Disinformation" formerly meant to refer to false information, *deliberately* planted by a foreign government. It is now a term used to refer to nearly any false or simply disfavored view or opinion.

The national intelligence services, in cahoots with Big Tech (Google, Twitter, Facebook - staffed HEAVILY with former intelligence officers) activated against any citizen engaging in wrong think - whether it was the idea that Donald Trump won without Russian interference, that the COVID-19 virus leaked from a lab, or that Hunter Biden's laptop was real and contained newsworthy info.

Jacob Siegel is an Iraq War veteran and senior editor of Tablet Magazine. He has written the definitive piece summarizing the Unholy Alliance of the National Security State and Big Tech fighting the "War on Disinformation".....against the American people.

He joined me this week to discuss.

Episode 55: Durham Report Summary; SI Swimsuit Edition & Why Male Brands Go Woke; New Twitter CEO; House Report on Biden Financial Crimes May 19, 2023
    Show notes

Special Counsel John Durham finally released his report documenting massive misconduct and lies by the FBI and security agencies in conducting the Trump Russia investigation.

Sports Illustrated has turned the Swimsuit Edition Woke - which begs the question: Why do male oriented brands feel the need to scold and alienate their core audience?

Elon Musk has hired a new CEO for Twitter - NBC Advertising Guru Linda Yaccarino. What does this mean for the platform and free speech?

A House Committee releases a report further documenting financial impropriety by Joe Biden's family members - impropriety with deep connections to America's enemies.

Episode 54: The Death of Jordan Neely, and the Causes of and Responses to Urban Chaos - with Adam Coleman May 06, 2023
    Show notes

New York City's subways have returned to the urban chaos of the 80's and 90's, leading to an inevitable fatal incident of vigilante-ism. A Marine trying to restrain an unhinged homeless person who had been threatning passengers, with a fatal result.

What conditions led to this? Could it have been prevented? Was it a just result? What can be done to rectify it?

Adam Coleman is a writer who has been pondering these questions. He has a unique perspective here, as he was formerly homeless himself.

Adam joins me to explore the Jordan Neely incident, and the causes of and responses to the urban chaos that he was a party to. And the hypocrisy of the commentators and politicians who lament Neely's death, but didn't seem to care about him (or his victims) while he was alive.

Episode 53: Donald Trump Arrested - A Full Breakdown of This Ridiculous Witch Hint Apr 07, 2023
    Show notes

After about a million false rumors of Donald Trump being arrested, one of the rumors finally came true. And the charges are pathetically weak - a flimsy attempt by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg to flip a misdemeanor into a felony. On this episode I discuss:

-The legal charges themselves and why there are baseless; a blatant example of prosecutorial misconduct and selective prosecution

-The political fallout & why this helps Trump (hint: he thrives off attention, good or bad)

-Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's sordid history of not prosecuting violent criminals

-George Soros' heavy (& well documented) financial support of Bragg - and why you're being told not to notice this

-My predictions for Trump's eventual trial
