Welcome back to the Pooya and Liana Lounge for a special minisode, the Q&A AMA extension to episode 30! Hosts Pooya and Lianna Boraas dive into more of your burning questions, offering both laughs and insights.
This episode features follow-ups and new questions, starting with reality TV updates, like Keanu winning the veto again on Big Brother 27, defying perpetual targeting. Liana also shares her recovery from a tough bout of sleeping, impacted by Thursday night feeds.
The hosts clarify aura colors (pink: empathetic, easygoing, romantic; royal blue: peaceful, confident, open-minded, accepting) and delve into astrology, with Liana revealing an ascendant in Cancer – her outward self, which she finds helpful for understanding herself. Pooya’s ascendant is Libra.
A fun highlight includes their picks for Big Brother 27 HOH (Head of Household) music baskets.. Pooya considers strategic choices, potentially picking Megan Thee Stallion's Traumazine for its energy and broader appeal, or even a musical soundtrack like Hamilton. Pooya would lean towards Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon or any Childish Gambino album for upbeat music.
They also tackle hypothetical statistics, with Lianna interested in correlating activities to overall happiness (like time outdoors or sleep quality) and Pooya wanting to know how much time he's spent feeling extremely cold or hot. The origin stories of their cats, Clam and Pearl, are shared, including Pearl's "escape plan" at the shelter.
On a more serious note, their best marriage advice is communication, emphasizing a "we're a team solving a problem" mindset. Pooya shares his background, moving from Dubai to Canada to the US. They discuss cultural differences, noting that most differences between them are individual rather than cultural (e.g., shoe habits). Lianna also offers fascinating insights into science, explaining how some medicines and vaccines are manufactured using live human or animal cell lines.
The podcast has evolved from simple riffing to healthy discussions where they explore topics openly, whether they agree or disagree, reflecting real-life conversations. Don't miss this insightful and entertaining episode!
