Put on your hazmat suit and remember to monitor yourself because we’re heading to a nuclear facility in the middle of Oklahoma, and let’s just say working conditions are not quite up to snuff. Join Shawnee Mead and Dan Colón as they dive into Nora’s second feature film, the five time Academy Award-nominee Silkwood. They discuss the brilliant performances from Meryl (already a two time Oscar winner) and an unrecognizable Cher (in her breakthrough role), the who’s who of supporting players, the film’s incredibly authentic depiction of the American Midwest, and how Nora’s experience as a journalist may have prepared her to tell this tragic true-to-life story, for which she earned her first Oscar nomination.
