    Percussionist, composer and producer Eric Darken has recorded with some of the most successful recording artists including Taylor Swift, Bob Seger, Ingrid Michaelson, and Larry Carlton. He also collaborates regularly with Peter Mayer and Mac McAnally.

    Eric Darken's own studio albums include Cappuccino Afternoon, Sunday Drive, Love Like Ours and feature relaxing instrumental compositions. They're excellent and highly recommended.

    For a few years now he has been the touring and recording percussionist in Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band. He also co-written with Buffett.

    It's the on going series “It’s Still Billy Joel to Me” within the show where we review all of the studio albums of singer-songwriter-pianist Billy Joel we do this in chronological order. It’s Still Billy Joel to Me, Vol 5: "The Stranger."

    Jason Burge and Paul Leslie take a close look at Billy Joel's most celebrated album, THE STRANGER, this is the 5th Billy Joel studio album. The producer on this album was the late, great Phil Ramone, one of the most legendary record producers in the history of music. This was the first in a run of 6 total albums produced by Ramone, the lion's share of Joel's discography. Recorded and released in 1977 "The Stranger" is 9 songs with a runtime of about 42 minutes.
