It’s hard to believe one guy could have written all these amazing songs…if you get a chance to see him live, grab it. People ask why nobody writes songs like they used to. Fortunately for us all, Jimmy Webb still does.”

You should know, The Paul Leslie Hour is an interview program now in our 19th year. That’s a pretty okay length of time. Such is this interview you’re about to hear, with Carmen Lundy, she’s the real deal.

Now, Carmen Lundy is a vocalist, songwriter and recording artist in the musical genre of jazz. Paul E. Leslie interviewed her around the time of Lundy’s 15th album “Code Noir.” It’s a record that includes Jazz, Blues, Pop and Brazilian Samba along with the full range of human emotions.

The title of Carmen Lundy’s album “Code Noir” actually refers to the first law ever written by a person in power of an empire, the King of France, Louis XIV, but there will be more about that in the interview.

Now, it’s something you may know already, but it’s worth reminding you. The Paul Leslie Hour a show with a mission statement of helping people tell their stories, is dependent on people, too. In the world of jazz, Harry Allen is a name that means something. To hear his work is more than just listening to music, it’s an experience. It’s why your host Paul E.
