Herman asks Patrick Madrid what a priest needs to say in order for his Confession to be valid. He's concerned that the priest didn't say everything he needed to say.

Also, Patrick assures you that you don't need to be afraid to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. He quotes St. John Vianney who said that "priests should be a lion at the pulpit and a lamb in the confessional." In other words, priests should be compassionate and show loving counsel when you receive this sacrament. They are not there to yell at you.

However, he shares that St. Padre Pio could read people's souls when they confessed, and he knew when a penitent was leaving something out. Find out what famous Hollywood actress experienced this firsthand!
