Episode 19 - Ashton Mallette – One of the baddest female waterfowlers blowing up hunting stereotypes Jan 28, 2021

Show notes

There is a stigma associated with the duck hunting world. A stigma where women are nice to have around in the blind, not a need to have. A stigma where one could ask "do they really belong?", after all this is a man's world. Well, the stigma has never met Ashton. Ashton wasn't raised a hunter but she knew that there was something buried in her blood that was drawing her to the outdoors. Her calling was duck hunting and you will struggle to find a more passionate, die-hard duck hunter than Ashton, male or female alike. And oh yes, she can operate a duck call better than most men.

He is chasing the elusive 41, and I have been engaging Ryan over the last several weeks about addressing some of the stupidity we are finding in hunting and specifically waterfowling i.e., the biting of the duck bill, the pushing the bill of the duck into the shotgun, etc. A thought provoking discussion.
