What Do You Do If Your Pet Dies From Its Pet Food? Jan 11, 2012
    Show notes

In 2007, the United States and Canada suffered the largest pet food recall in history due to the use of Melamime which was imported from China. Melamime is an additive that was used for the purpose of increasing protein levels when added to vegetable proteins as corn, soy and wheat. Subsequently, Melamime is lethal to cats and dogs. As a result, it is estimated that 300,000 pets suffered and died in just the US and Canada according to international pet food expert Susan Thixton. More than 4 years later, in the recently settled law suit filed after this mass murder, pet owners received only 50% of their claims. Do the laws actually protect pets or protect negligent companies from being held accountable? What course of action do you take if your animal companion dies from commercially produced pet food? How much money will this cost you? How hard is it to retain a law firm to file suit? In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer will talk to world renowned pet food expert, Susan Thixton, Founder of Truth About Pet Food (www.truthaboutpetfood.com) about this very sensitive subject. Stay tuned!

How To Start Beekeeping With Marina Marchese & Kim Flottum Jan 04, 2012
    Show notes

Beekeeping can be one of the most rewarding experiences. Whether you are an avid gardener, a honey connoisseur or just want to do your part to help the bees, one of the best ways to learn about bees is to have your own hives. In areas such as NYC where the ban has been lifted on beekeeping, it's become a popular hobby and for some, a new business venture. However, beekeeping is not something that one simply signs up for like a class at the gym or can be done leisurely like a crossword puzzle. It is a big responsibility and is also something that requires a basic understanding of bees. It can also be quite costly if you do not know what you are doing or have good guidance. In this special segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer will be joined by Marina Marchese, author of Honeybee: Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper and Kim Flottum, editor of Bee Culture Magazine to talk about how you can learn to become a beekeeper. We will talk about options for purchasing equipment, kinds of bees, where to locate your hive, how to find a mentor and so much more! Stay tuned! Bios: Marina Marchese is a true renaissance woman and an entrepreneur. From her love of honeybees, she discovered the medicinal benefits created by her beloved honeybees. She decided that this was something that needed to be shared with the world and launched Red Bee ® Artisanal Honey. Marina has created an entire line of skin care products that are derived from the honeybee. As a true lover and defender of honeybees, she also educates people about the many misconceptions about bees and why people need to embrace the power that these special beings offer. Kim Flottum is the editor of Bee Culture magazine, the author of The Backyard Beekeeper (Quarry Books, 2005), and an editor of the ABC & XYZ of Bee Culture, 41st Edition (A.R. Root Company, 2006).

Laura Lassiter: 2012 Predictions and How to Be Prepared. Jan 03, 2012
    Show notes

2012 is clearly going to be a significant year. Many people believe that this is going to be THE year when something significant happens. During the last few years, there were many natural disasters that occurred to be almost routine. The interpretation of the Mayan prophecies indicates that this may in fact be the Apocalypse. In Christianity, Armageddon. Others suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or a similar catastrophe. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with a black hole, passing asteroid or a planet called "Nibiru". On a political note, it is also an election year. Politicians are going to be striking deals left and right to remain in office. Change can occur in either direction, especially since there is such a global economic crisis and no room for novice mistakes. Regardless, of what the belief system is, many people truly believe that these are the end of times whether they are cataclysmic or simply transformative. With all of the hoopla, there seems to be a lot of fear being projected but not much of anything as far as preparation. How exactly can people actually prepare for what is to come? What can people do to brace themselves for extreme weather? Do the predictions from the Ancient Mayans matter? What about the political future of the USA? What about our spiritual blueprints? Will this truly be the end? In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to spiritual healer and wildlife advocate, Laura Lluellyn-Lassiter to talk about what you can expect in 2012. Laura Lassiter is a well known Animal and wildlife advocate, Write, Big Cat Rescue, EARS and CHAART volunteer, Intuitive Counselor, Quantum/Reiki Practitioner. She will be using her unique capabilities to help explain what we can expect during 2012 as well as intuitively address specific issues that are of great concern.

Author, Mardi-Ellen Hill: The World Of Mend Dec 29, 2011
    Show notes

The world is changing. However, this change has not simply come about overnight. As human beings interact with one another, there is almost a story that can be created by the events that have occurred throughout one's life as well as new discoveries about the world. Mend is not just a game but rather a very unique experience that really requires a combination of intellect, education, understanding of how we are all connected and a true appreciation for how music can deeply affect our state of being. What Mardi-Ellen has created is extremely sophisticated and simply blows the likes of Harry Potter out of the water. Anyone who truly appreciates the Masters will see this right away. Given the fact that Mardi-Ellen is not just an opera singer or musician but is also a composer, she is able to completely grasp the impact that music can make. Sound is something nature utilizes all the time. However, it is not something many people really understand regardless of how much appreciation or knowledge they may possess. Quite brilliantly, Mardi-Ellen incorporates this key element into the game which renders this to be something that even Aldous Huxley would thoroughly have enjoyed. Mend is not for the simple minded as it provides intellectual stimulation that has been missing from modern day society for ages. If you really wish to be 'enlightened' and get a taste of what the real world is about, roll your sleeves up, turn your tv off and get ready for the ride of your life! In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer will talk to the award winning and talented Mardi-Ellen Hill about her life's work creating Mend.
