Ed interviews author and actor Geoffrey Giuliano.
Geoffrey Giuliano (born September 11, 1953) is an American author, radio personality, and film actor, best known for his biographies of The Beatles members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison, and of musician Pete Townshend. He is also known for his involvement in the Mclibel case.
A biography Giuliano wrote, Lennon In America (released in 2000), was controversial. Giuliano said the book was based in part on transcripts of Lennon's journal given to him by the singer Harry Nilsson. The book was issued after Nilsson's death, and several people close to Nilsson do not believe he ever had the transcripts in his possession. Washington Post reporter David Segal quoted Giuliano's response when he was asked to corroborate his claim that Nilsson gave him the diaries. "It's obvious that I'm going to do things in an ethical manner." Segal also reported the view of Steven Gutstein, a former New York assistant district attorney who was asked to read the diaries during an early 1980s larceny lawsuit against former Lennon personal assistant Fred Seaman. Gutstein described his own memory of the diaries as "a lot of philosophical musings combined with mundane details of everyday life."

Ulbricht grew up in the Austin metropolitan area. He served as a Boy Scout,[5] attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.[6] He attended West Ridge Middle School,[7] and Westlake High School, Austin, Texas. He graduated from high school in 2002.[8]
He attended the University of Texas at Dallas on a full academic scholarship,[6] and graduated in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in physics.[8] He then attended Pennsylvania State University, where he was in a master's degree program in materials science and engineering and studied crystallography. By the time Ulbricht graduated he had lost interest in his major and was interested in libertarian economic theory. In particular, Ulbricht adhered to the political philosophy of Ludwig von Mises and supported Ron Paul, and participated in college debates to discuss his economic views.[7][9]
Ulbricht graduated from Penn State in 2009 and returned to Austin. By this time Ulbricht, finding regular employment unsatisfying, wanted to become an entrepreneur, but his first attempts to start his own business failed. He eventually partnered with a friend to help build an online used book seller, Good Wagon Books. His limited business success, combined with a breakup with his on-and-off girlfriend from Penn State, left Ulbricht deeply dissatisfied with his life.[7][10]

Lieutenant Colonel Robert "Buzz" Patterson, United States Air Force (Retired), is the author of New York Times best sellers, Dereliction of Duty: The Eyewitness Account of How Bill Clinton Compromised America's National Security and Reckless Disregard: How Liberal Democrats Undercut Our Military, Endanger Our Soldiers, and Jeopardize Our Security, and War Crimes: The Left's Campaign to Destroy the Military and Lose the War on Terror. His new book, "Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Endangering Our National Security," will be released on September 7th, 2010.
Patterson served 20 years as a pilot on active duty in the United States Air Force and saw tours of duty world-wide including combat operations in Grenada, Somalia, Rwanda, Haiti, and Bosnia.
From 1996 to 1998, Colonel Patterson was the Senior Military Aide to President Bill Clinton. During that time he was responsible for the President's Emergency Satchel, otherwise known as the "Nuclear Football," the black bag with the nation's nuclear capability that accompanies the president at all times. In addition, Colonel Patterson was operational commander for all military units assigned to the White House, which included Air Force One, Marine One, Camp David, White House Transportation Agency and White House Mess.
Among his many military commendations, Patterson received the Defense Superior Service Medal for accomplishments while at the White House and was awarded the Air Force Air Medal for flying fifteen combat support missions into then-besieged Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1994. He retired in 2001 to pursue a career as a commercial airline pilot, writer and conservative speaker.
As a result of his experiences and writings, he's been featured in films such as Hillary: The Movie and Blocking the Path to 9/11. He is a frequent guest on talk shows across the country, including television appearances on ABC News with Diane Sawyer, The Hannity Show, The O'Reilly Factor, CBS' Morning Show, Fox and Friends, Hardball with Chris Matthews, The Dennis Miller Show, C-SPAN's Book Notes, Joe Scarborough, Heartland with John Kasich, and MSNBC News. He's also been heard on radio shows ranging from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, G. Gordon Liddy to Hugh Hewitt.
Patterson was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is a Distinguished Graduate from the Air Command and Staff College; he has his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech University and a Master's in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. He and his family currently reside in California.

During the next few years, Joseph struggles with the latent reverberations stemming from the evils of his former life and the inability to fully perceive the ever-present forgiveness of Christ. He embarks on a hapless quest, that will take him from the forests of Pennsylvania to the medieval monasteries of France, in order to escape the memories of his life in San Francisco and the grotesque pictures which continually flash through his mind. Eventually, he must go back to the sight of his near annihilation and face the horrors of the past. Through the intervention of a kindly and newly ordained Catholic priest, Joseph is finally delivered from the wicked entities which possessed much of his existence. Back in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, Joseph is able to believe in the all forgiving mercy of the Savior, and to bathe within the healing light of God's everlasting presence. But, always, he looks back to the countless innocents who were silently deceived, then slaughtered upon the tottering altar of sexual freedom. For the desolate and confounded, still walking its streets, he wrote this story.
